Frequent cancellations
I travel interstate for work about once or twice a month. On every single one of my previous 4 trips Qantas has cancelled a flight and bumped me onto a much later one (like several hours later). Explanation given is that traffic control at destination or origin has deemed weather to blame, even when it’s barely sprinkling. It is absolutely disgraceful, especially when notification is give just before boarding is scheduled.

Terrible is an understatement
I am guessing this website doesn't have the concept of No Star or Half a Star because that's what I would have given to Qantas.
The call wait time is saying as in excess of 1 hr (I am still on call) - unaccepatble. Also, I am guessing if I am able to get hold of someone after 1 hr I should count myself lucky - looking at some of the other reviews here.
In addition to that, the website says you can chat via the app - so I have downloaded the app - found the link to chat (which in itself is not easy to find - I get a feeling they are purposefully trying to hide it) and now I have sent my message 1/2 hr ago and am still waiting for a response.

Major health and safety risk!
Does not make provision for people with major allergies like nuts and garlic. Fly from Auckland to South Africa. Tried customer service and staff. Everyone just say they are unable to assist. Only kosher, vegetarian and halaal food. Really bad to sit in a 19 hour commute and unable to eat.

2 hours minimum wait on phone. Can’t change flights online, can’t cancel flights online.
Minimum 2 hour wait on phone to change a flight as online doesn’t allow to change or cancel flight. Booked flight On qantas.com due to specific arrrival time needed. Immediately after booking flight on booking acceptance page I was notified of 2 hour delay. This could have been stated prior to purchase. This is actually misleading and false advertising as they already new of flight delay.

Call back is a hoax
Tried to ring quantas waited 2 hours then got cut off. On two different occasions I have requested call back and it hasn't happened. Worst call centre. Virgin is much better

Can I give half a star? Worst call centre experience
I booked to NZ and need to change the flight. The flight change option online came up with an error through Qantas frequent flyer "Manage Flights". When I called the call centre I was on hold for over 2 hours and then the operator hung up on me after 30 seconds. The worst call centre experience I have had. I will actively try to avoid flying Qantas in the future.

Horrible customer service
Horribly long customer service wait times (2hrs+!!) and charged either a change or refund fee for Coronavirus related changes. Qantas needs to focus more on customer service if they want to remain competitive in this market!!

Qantas refuses to waive the cancellation fee for destinations impacted by Coronavirus
Our Chief Medical Officer of Australia is already advising high caution and not to travel unless absolutely necessary. Yet Qantas refuses to refund flights to impacted areas like Japan. I've called many times through our travel agent to hear the same old refusal despite multiple airlines like Singapore and even China Air providing full refunds. Heck, I even got a refund for my airbnb in Osaka and Tokyo. Calling their team directly doesn't work either because you never reach them. Its a 2hr 45min wait and disconnects half way. Terrible service. Will never consider Qantas again and I would advise anyone else to stay away. There are better options.

Waive cancellation fee for flight to japan due to coronavirus
I requested to cancel my tickets to Japan due to the Coronavirus outbreak only to be advised I would be charged a $800 cancellation fee this is an absolute joke. Most corporations are definitely very aware of the need to protect commercial reputation and to be seen as good corporate citizens i believe Qantas should be offering this to their customers given the high level warning issued by the Australian Government. My tickets were purchased in November last year and i do not think it is fair that Qantas force people to lose a good chunk of their airfares when other air carriers are offering full refunds for the same and other locations which are severely impacted by the Virus.

Called customer service: 1 hour 40 mins on hold then hung up
Tried to change my bosses flights online but was unable to do so, had a message stating i had to call customer service. The flight out was the next day and the return flight was 5 days later. I could not change either flight.
I called customer service and was on hold for 1 hr 40 mins and then gave up. Think its ridiculous to have to wait that long for someone to pick up the phone

Customer Service? Expect to wait a VERY long time.
My Wife recently organised a couple of Business Class flights and the Qantas system continues to make errors with the formatting of the surname (it combines two surnames, or on odd occasions removes one completely) when booking online.
She reached out to customer service via Email, Phone and Social Media (FB etc) and through IM via the Qantas app.
This is an ongoing issue within the booking system which we have had in the past (it was previously resolved by reaching out to them via Facebook that took 2 days to resolve)

single service took in excess of half a day to come back to her. Phone service took over 2hours to just pick up the phone only to say that they couldn’t even resolve the issue. They insisted that she cancel her flights (which we organised for a good price to begin with) and rebook; asking her to instead enter the initials of the surnames? I have bought a ticket I'm trying to change the date but no one answers there phn I have been holding on for almost 2 hours, this is really ridiculous terrible customer service n dnt even talk abt there air hostesses, they r terrible they treat only certain people fine on there planes neither would they smile. Disgusting service.
Every time you need to call Qantas there is a minimum 1 hour wait. Constant flight changes that ruin holiday plans. Disgusting service. Use another airline if you want a reliable service.

worst customer service ever
I have been on hold for over two hours trying to cancel one leg of my booking which you can't do online.
This also happened in Perth when they cancelled my flight back to Sydney. There was an earlier flight but could not get through to Qantas I was on hold for half the driving time from Geraldton to Perth and eventually hung up.

Worst possible service from them!!!
Booking reference is TQ9RVU flight in August 2022, i had 2 complimentary lounge access to use, i was flying from Mel to Singapore, tried to link the invitation 3 times without any luck, every time it tried to book it shows, the page cant be found, even when i went on Qantas lounge in Mel airport, they did not let me in, pretty bad service, even having 2 lounge accesses, i was not able to use at all, i lodged a complain, SR2687070 on Sept 2022, still not resolved, i spoke with multiple people but no one took any ownership to help me, what a joke...Read more
from Qantas, you need to take a day off from work to talk with them as it takes forever to get them through. Shame a big airline but very bad customer service
With the coronavirus extraordinary circumstance in japan and korea....cebu air, air Asia, scoot have offered refund or changes with no penalties.Qantas has yet not had any sympathy to it's loyal clients for a penalty free change/refund. Dissappointing.

Worst customer service I've ever encountered anywhere!
Qantas you should be ashamed of your customer service. Stranded at Perth airport for over 8 hours with my elderly mother until late tonight because YOU cancelled our flight. NO meals vouchers, No free coffee, NO free upgrades, NO offer of any help and no empathy when we explained mums prescription medication had already gone with her checked luggage and now she will miss her medication. As long term customers we are disgusted with the way you have treated us.

Qantas is awful, go Singapore or even Skoot :(
The flight was cancelled, there was no notification, no representative at the airport, no contact (at any level) and no support. We found a number and sat for over an hour an forty minutes with no response. This is worse than flying many 'third world nations'.

Clarification on my fare keeping on hold
Anytime of the day, I called Qantas support, the automated voice tells a waiting time between one and half to two hours or over two hours. Very strange. On a very few occasions they offered call back service.
On both occasions I spoke with their staff, found very hard to communicate. Very frustrating experience with our national carrier. Very frustrating.

Inaccurate information sent by text regarding the means to cancel fights by customers impacted by the Carona virus.

Yes it is manned but expect to wait in excess of an hour
They did have a call back system but that has since gone
After reaching a consultant they say it is fixed but it isn’t so you need to keep calling and hopefully connect to someone who wants to help
Unfortunately with the huge workload it is more about getting through numbers than resolving the issues
