Comprehensive Car InsuranceI'm a family person, with primary school kids. I took comprehensive insurance, with all the options, car hire, windscreen, agreed value, everything you could ask for, I paid for. Thinking I'd be fully covered for any inconvenience. Not the case with QBE

No, nothing for your and your family regarding hire cars, also if you need to compliance contact the AFCA – External Dispute Resolution. At QBE we don't help people with claims and families, your on your own, and treat people very poorly.wow, it’s the first time in eight weeks you have offered any assistence, are you calling from australia, or from your overseas trained call centres??

Comprehensive Car InsuranceI had a claim from a car accident that I had, I couldn't fault the claims dept. and the assessor, they did a great job and was very efficient from when the car was deemed a write off to pay me the insurance payout.

Comprehensive Car InsuranceOur car insurance for our 2021 MG went up over $700 a year. We have made no claims. We were told its because of Inflation etc. We got insurance with another big company and Saved $700! With all the features we previously had.

60% increase in my comprehensive car insurance policy this year
Comprehensive Car InsuranceI have had one insurance policy (Home contents) with QBE for around 15 years. I decided to also insure our 3 family vehicles with QBE last year, with competitive rates. So, a total of 4 insurance policies with QBE.
I received the renewal for one of the vehicles this month (comprehensive insurance), and the renewal was $600 more than last year (an increase of 60%).
Now, I am a very reasonable person, and I fully understand that on average, car insurance has increased by approximately 20%. I was prepared for this. I was not prepared for 60%.

Read moreI have not made any claims on any of the policies (although QBE did increase the agreed value of my vehicle without discussing it with me first), and I have only had one 'at fault' (hit a roo) accident in over 30 years of driving (not with QBE). I called QBE seeking justification for a 60% increase on my policy, with no claims. The lovely lady who answered my call was very helpful, and noted that my date of birth was not on the policy, and that the agreed value of my vehicle had been increased by $1000. So we reduced the agreed value to what it had been previously, and that brought down the renewal cost by $100. She also discussed my multiple policies with her supervisor, and that reduced the renewal cost by $100 also. Still, even with these reductions, my renewal was 40% more than last year. And approximately double the industry average. So now I am going to need to think long and hard about whether I continue with QBE or not with all my policies. Which is a shame, because on the one and only occasion I needed to use them for the Home Contents insurance, they were good to deal with (a really small claim). And I'm a loyal person. But I still don't have a reasonable explanation for such a big hike in the cost of renewal.Thank you for your honest review and feedback Tina. Comprehensive Car InsuranceTerrible experience with Qbe. Do not insure with them. Have been a policy holder for several years, no claims. The one time I go to make a claim and they delay delay and delay when they know that every day I was losing money. Three weeks later they are still asking the same questions in different ways. Liars through and through
Comprehensive Car InsuranceFirst, they tell me another week to assess, because their assessor needs to look, even though it’s at the recommended repairer. Then they don’t refund any premium paid, for up to 12 months after the accident. Rip off merchants! It took more than two months after the accident to settle claim. Insured with them nine years no claims. Dodgy!

Never ever again will i insure with QBE. I was run off the road by a lady on her mobile phone at warnavale. Plenty of witnesses. I was thrown 40 mtrs down the road & only suffered a broken thumb. ( Lucky to be alive ) Its coming up to 7 weeks & still no sign of my money. I received a letter to say it's been transferred to my account & still nothing. Proberly making interest off my cash. I'm on my second day As my bike is my only means of transport of paying for taxis. Also my apparel claim of $1500 was knocked back due to no pics of my blood stained clothing. I am a ex serving Army veteran with ptsd & to be treated this way in unacceptable. Please do not use there services. Next point of action is procediding with legal action against your accounts department.
