Hi, so I have a redbaby Jive and was wondering if I can recline the seat to lie down? I forgot to ask the vendor

Hi Kas,

The seat has 3 recline positions, depending on the model of pram you have - the recline is either at the side of the pram with two buttons. The latest versions of the JIVE and METRO have a latch at the back of the seat which allows you to recline to the different positions.

I hope this helps :)

Today we saw a redsbaby jive that seems to have suffered really bad wear on the handle. Has anyone else had issues with the handle succumbing to to excessive wear?

Hi Savyshopper,

Thank you for your question. The JIVE and METRO handlebars are made of a hardwearing leatherette (the same material that is used in car interiors) this material is designed to with-stand day to day wear and tear and all the things that can happen when using a pram. It isn't normal for a handlebar to visibly wear with the correct care and maintenance.

We always support our customers and ensure that all parts of the pram are working as they should and we urge customers to be in touch if any part of their pram isn't working as it is intended to.

I hope this helps :)

Hi! I own a redsbaby jive and love it! Just this morning I tried to use the recline function to have the seat upright and the spring seems to have 'let go' and I can't move the seat in any direction. Any help?

I've already got a nuna pipa capsule from my sister who's bub has outgrown it.

I realise that only the maxi cosi capsules are on the compatible list on redsbaby website. However, Ihad seen a post that the pipa is compatible with maxi cosi adaptors.

Can the pipa be used on the jive?

Many thanks!

Hi William, thank you for your question. Yes, you can use the Nuna Pipa with the Maxi-Cosi capsule adaptors on the JIVE. Got to love a timely hand-me-down. One less thing to buy! Sarah - RB Team xx

We don’t currently manufacture our own travel bag but we can recommend the Phil and Ted’s Universal Travel Bag. It’s a good fit for our prams. Happy travels! Sarah – RB Team xx

Hi
I am just wondering, can you purchase a second seat later on for the pram (when needed for future children) and also has anyone used it as a double pram and does a 2 year still fit in the second seat under a bassinet? Thanks!

Hi! My son is only one year so I'm not sure about the size question but it looks to have quite a bit of room left. I believe Redsbaby has brought out a double pram, I'm not sure if you can 'add on' to existing prams, I imagine yes but best ask Redsbaby direct :)

Hello! METRO and JIVE are both compatible with Maxi Cosi capsules (MICO and CITI models). At this point Redsbaby prams aren’t compatible with other capsules but it is definitely something we are considering going forward.

I have included the link below so you can look at how you can covert the JIVE or METRO to a travel system. Please let us know if you have any further questions.

Can a capsule be attached to the bottom part of the Jive instead of a seat? So you could possibly use it for twins?

Hi Kerrie, the Tandem doesn't accommodate two bassinets so we can't recommend it as a newborn twin option. Wish we could help but the chassis design doesn't allow it. Sarah - RB Team xx

1 answer

RedsbabyRedsbaby

Hi Liz, thanks for your enquiry. Our JIVE Tandem doesn't accommodate two bassinets - only one bassinet/one seat, or two seats, as such, it is not considered ideal for newborns. While there are no clear standards, it's recommended that babies lay flat in a bassinet until they gain neck control or they are six months old. While the seats on our prams recline to a 180 degree position, the child's legs are elevated by the foot rest. At the end of the day; however, it comes down to personal choice. If you have any further enquiries, please don't hesitate to get in touch with customer service: [email protected] or (02) 8487 8418. Sarah - RB Team xx

Just wanted feedback on the colour mist. I love the colour but worried about how dirty it will get for a toddler, has it been easy to clean the fabric and remove stains? Thanks

1 answer
Redsbaby
RedsbabyRedsbaby

Hi Nouha, all our materials are highly durable and stain resistant, and they can be spot cleaned when required. It's a bit of a trade off with Mist. While dark foods and gunk will show, you have the same problem with lighter foods and gunk (think crackers and yoghurt) with the darker coloured fabrics. Either way, most general dirt with wipe away with a damp cloth. Thank you for your enquiry. Sarah - RB Team xx

Hi there,
Is there somewhere that I can "test drive" a redsbaby pram so to speak, besides their demo days?

Hi Alex, we run Demo Days across the country and we also take part in most baby expos but we don't stock in stores. If you can't get to any of our events, we also offer 'Our Promise' which covers you in your order online and you haven't tested it in advance. Please see this link for more details: www.redsbaby.com.au/our-promise. If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to call (02) 8287 8418 or email [email protected], and the team will help. Sarah - RB Team xx

Hi there, just wondering if there is any need for the seat liner? Is it purely just to catch crumbs and things or does it actually provide support for the baby??

Hi Erin, the seat liner does add an additional layer of comfort (although the seat is already nicely cushioned); however, it's primarily to keep act as a buffer between baby and the seat to catch mess. Rather than having clean to seat, you can simply remove the seat liner and pop it in the wash. Sarah - RB Team xx

Is there much room for storage if there's two seats attached aswell?

1 answer
Sass
Sass

Hi Shayla, unfortunately there isn't space in the basket when using the second seat. Some people have suggested getting those big hooks to attach to the handle to put bags on but obviously this can be dangerous if bags are too heavy. Other suggestions are putting your nappy bag/other bags under the front seat just under the foot rest.

I used this on a sand track. It's not designed as an off-road pram but it manages well. Would go for a jogger pram for the breach so the Jive doesn't get scratched

Hi. My bub is only a week old so havent taken the pram for walks yet but i plan on it. We have taken it to westfields and it was great. From using it the last few days ive no doubt when i go walking around the neighborhood it will be awesome tok.

Redsbaby

Hi Kate, this is precisely the sort of use our prams are intended for. Our wheels feature:
Rear air tyres: unmatched, ultimate ride comfort and excellent surface grip
Front 360 degree swivel wheels: maneuverable in tight spaces
Front wheel locks: stability on uneven terrain and long distances
Four wheel suspension: easy push and a smoother ride
Four wheel design: optimum weight distribution, providing more stability on curbs and uneven surfaces

Hope that helps! Sarah - RB Team xx
