Has anyone had any issues with the pram tipping when walking on pavements? My pram used to be okay but now I have issues almost every time I go out. My child only weighs 12kgs so shouldn’t be because of his size.

Hi Alex,

Thank you for your question. I would urge you to be in touch with customer care on 1300 344 964 (Mon - Friday) so we can assist in making sure your pram is working as it should. The seat can take up to 20kgs so we need to take a look at what is happening with your pram as soon as possible.

Yes, my pram tipped last week on a small lip of a driveway, it was disastrous. Thankfully my baby is okay, I stopped it from flipping completely but it meant falling to the side and catching the baby at the side of the bassinet. I have a lot of skin off from falling on the road. I think the front wheels are too small. They got stuck and turned. I have liked the pram
Otherwise but I think this is a major issues as the lip was only maybe 3-4cm

I have a Jive (purchased 2017) and wondering if anyone else has had issues with the handle bar grips wearing down? We’ve had the pram for over a year now but the wearing down began almost immediately and has gotten worse over time. Rather frustrating as I love the pram and expected it to last a long time!

Hi Jess, thank you for your question. I am sorry to hear this and I would urge you to be in touch with the customer care team on 1300 344 964. The leatherette handlebar should hold up to day to day use and last the life of the pram. We would certainly like to assist in resolving this for you.

Hi Alisha,

Thank you for your question. We haven't changed the attachments from the existing 2016/17 versions of the JIVE so they are compatible. We don't sell the 2018 chassis separately as they are reserved for warranty purposes only. Please be in touch with customer care on 1300 344 964 if you have any questions about the above.

Hi Ange, it’s a good question. I don’t know the answer but I recommend you call or email redsbaby’s customer service. They have always been more than helpful to me when I had any queries or installation advice for their product (and responsed within 24-48hrs). Don’t have their contact info. but I’m pretty sure on their website. Alex

Hi Ange,

Thank you for your message. Yes, the 2017 versions of the JIVE and METRO had the same seats and bassinets so they are interchangeable. I hope this helps :)

Hi Gull,

Thank you for your question. We haven't designed a snack tray as yet but I will be sure to pass this onto our design team. We can suggest trying the universal snack trays available in baby stores - some are flexible and fit over the bumper for ease of use.

Please be in touch if you have any further questions :)

Is it heavy to lift, how much does stroller weigh?

3 answers
Phoebe
Phoebe

The weight is on the website, I can’t remember, somewhere around 10kg I think. I find it okay, I keep it in my car though so I only lift it in and out of the car. If you want a really light pram this isn’t it, but any really light pram I don’t think would be as nice to handle, you’d feel all the bumps.

Stacey
Stacey

The frame is about 7kg and the bassinet/seat is about 2-3kg and I practised lifting the frame and bassinet separately into the boot whilst 6 month pregnant with no dramas.
As Phoebe mentioned it's not the lightest but I think it's pretty light for such a sturdy feeling pram.

Redsbaby
RedsbabyRedsbaby

The JIVE is a great light weight pram which folds with the seat attached. When you have the seat attached the pram weighs approximately 11kgs. You can remove the seat for a more lightweight lift with the frame just 8.3kgs.

Hope this helps - Brooke - RB Team xx

I bought a caddy organiser where I put my water bottle, phone, bib and burp cloth for easy access. I use the pacapod nappy bag which I can just hang over the pram handle bars on in the bottom tray.

Hi Elizabeth, we don't manufacture our own travel bag just yet but we can recommend the Phil&Teds universal travel bag for use with the JIVE and METRO. They will fit with the pram frame and bassinet OR seat.

Hi, so I have a redbaby Jive and was wondering if I can recline the seat to lie down? I forgot to ask the vendor

1 answer

RedsbabyRedsbaby

Hi Kas,

The seat has 3 recline positions, depending on the model of pram you have - the recline is either at the side of the pram with two buttons. The latest versions of the JIVE and METRO have a latch at the back of the seat which allows you to recline to the different positions.

I hope this helps :)

Today we saw a redsbaby jive that seems to have suffered really bad wear on the handle. Has anyone else had issues with the handle succumbing to to excessive wear?

2 answers
Redsbaby
RedsbabyRedsbaby

Hi Savyshopper,

Thank you for your question. The JIVE and METRO handlebars are made of a hardwearing leatherette (the same material that is used in car interiors) this material is designed to with-stand day to day wear and tear and all the things that can happen when using a pram. It isn't normal for a handlebar to visibly wear with the correct care and maintenance.

We always support our customers and ensure that all parts of the pram are working as they should and we urge customers to be in touch if any part of their pram isn't working as it is intended to.

I hope this helps :)

I've already got a nuna pipa capsule from my sister who's bub has outgrown it.

I realise that only the maxi cosi capsules are on the compatible list on redsbaby website. However, Ihad seen a post that the pipa is compatible with maxi cosi adaptors.

Can the pipa be used on the jive?

Many thanks!

Hi! My son is only one year so I'm not sure about the size question but it looks to have quite a bit of room left. I believe Redsbaby has brought out a double pram, I'm not sure if you can 'add on' to existing prams, I imagine yes but best ask Redsbaby direct :)

Hello! METRO and JIVE are both compatible with Maxi Cosi capsules (MICO and CITI models). At this point Redsbaby prams aren’t compatible with other capsules but it is definitely something we are considering going forward.

I have included the link below so you can look at how you can covert the JIVE or METRO to a travel system. Please let us know if you have any further questions.
