LPG is Liquefied petroleum gas or liquid petroleum gas (LPG or LP gas), also referred to as simply propane or butane, are flammable mixtures of hydrocarbon gases used as fuel in heating appliances, cooking equipment, and vehicles.

LPG is also called bottled gas, along with propane, butane and mixtures of these gases. Bottled gas comes from natural gas processing and oil refining.

Thanks for the question Vertkes, in some cases strong odours ie paint or new carpet can produce a strong smell when the unit is operating. We would recommend speaking to our technical help desk who can troubleshoot the issue with your. They are available on 1300555545 option 3.

Thanks for the question Larry, to convert a heater from LPG to Natural Gas requires a conversion kit which will need a licensed gas plumber to fit. The dip switch setting are included in the kit.

Thanks for the question and update Caroline C. With any portable heater there can be combustion product in the room. Generally the rotten egg smell is caused by fumes being processed by the heater and can be unpleasant. We are glad to hear a service call has been booked to diagnose the issue, please let us know if there is anything further we can do for you.

Thanks for the question Elizabeth H. As Pgquick has stated, error code 11 is ignition failure which can occur for a number of reasons, If there is no gas to the unit or the heater has not been serviced recently, this error can occur.

We would recommend checking gas to the heater, if you have a 2nd gas point, checking the heater there may pin point the problem. Other wise, it is a recommendation to have any gas appliance serviced every 2 years and a service call may be required.

Thanks for the question Byron A, Rinnai are a manufacturer and do not sell direct to the public. You can check with your local retailer here to see if they sell online. As the previous poster has advised, you will need a qualified gas fitter to install the kit.

Thanks for the question Lee, if the red light is blinking it is an indicator that the filter requires cleaning. During peak operating periods the filters should be cleaned weekly, however if the Filter warning indicator illuminates, turn off the appliance immediately and clean filters before further use.

We do recommend with any gas heater that they are cleaned and serviced every 2 years to ensure optimum safety and performance.

Thank you for the question Leigh, yes you can convert the Dynamo heater from natural gas to LPG. You will require a conversion kit which can be picked up from any good plumbing stockist and this will need to be fitted by a licenced gas plumber.

Thanks for the question Karissa K. Error code 12 is Incomplete combustion / Flame Failure. This means the heater has shut down as it could not start within the time limit set to ensure safety. There can be a number of reasons for this but the first thing to check is the gas supply to the unit is working. Turn off the heater and turn back on, if after 4 attempts the unit still doesn't ignite we recommend a service call.
