Doesn’t perform what Samsung promise
Samsung advertise 4 days battery life. This is misleading as it often doesn’t last a day which makes the device useless
Every now and again the software causes the battery to drain in 5 hours
The workout tracking doesn’t always record work outs
It no longer records heartbeat when swimming
Forget about listening to music because it’s drains the battery in a couple of hours
It doesn’t accurately measure distance when running
So I’m summary it doesn’t do anything Samsung advertise it does

Don't waste your money....
Where to start..... This product is the biggest waste of money. Apparently I average 80-90 flights of stairs a day. I think that's pretty remarkable when sitting in the office and I get a vibration to let me know I have broken yet another personal record for stairs climbed. Have sent off to Samsung and they can't replicate the issue yet I have shown them the ludicrous data on many consecutive days.

you purchase the product? I mean let's face it all fitness trackers pretty much have the same functions so the "aesthetic" plays a role in your decision making process when purchasing the product. The charger isn't the stablest and it's quite temperamental. Sometimes it will charge as soon as you put our in the dock others it will not. It freezes. In the middle of a workout and it just freezes. Gets stuck on say 20:42 and you know you have just completed a 45 minutes workout. So not really tracking your fitness attempts at all. Stay away from this product. You will regret wasting your money. I have done everything I can to have the major issues rectified and under the ACCC if the fault is deemed to be major within the first year of purchase it is the consumers choice of replacement, repair or refund BUT Samsung have to "assess" the item first and they get to determine if its a major fault. I was advised they could not replicate the issue but I wonder with the speed at which I had the item returned to me how they managed to use the item as I would and do? I dropped it at the Harvey Norman in QLD I purchased it at on a Friday afternoon and had a call by the next Friday saying it had been shipped to them, tested by not 1 but 3 people and shipped back to be sitting at Harvey Norman waiting for collection by the next Friday. Not sure how it was tested for normal everyday use to replicate the issues by 3 people in that short amount of time.

Lifesaver
Look it fits good and charges real quick, helps me heaps. Keeps my carb intake in check, hsndy to keep an eye on my heartrate and keeps progress of work done and milestones reached. Has good reminders so no excuses for missing a day, yep I wear it everywhere, cheap.

could use some refining
this works ok but my husband bought it for me online when i got it i thought it looked like a was a criminal who had to wear a tracker.. it is not feminine :).. so he now wears it, the band had a wierd clip system that comes undone easily, my son also had one and it fell off and he lost it, this could use refining for sure. apart from that it does what it says it will do.

Terrible customer service, false advertising, not swim ready
I have sent this Gear Fit 2 Pro in three times now. It was received in December 2017, it is now July 2018. Less than 1 year old. I have never swam with this product, although it does say it is Swim-Ready and Built to Get Wet with a rating of 5ATM. s built to get wet. They asked me to send it in this third time. I received a quote for $400 to repair this, as the warranty is void due to "Liquid Damage". Excuse me?!?! It has never been swam with, never submerged in water. So the product is NOT truly swim ready or water resistant. They will not replace it, they will not repair it without paying double it's worth, and they will not send it back to me without me paying $25 to even get my broken garbage product back. I am furious with Samsung's Customer Support. I just re-read all the maintaining water resistance and dust protection steps and caveats... It does say that taking the device apart can damage the water resistance of the unit. Maybe when it was taken apart to replace the first defective part they ruined it. But why would a company like that want to take responsibility for their own defective product? I am incredibly disappointed and I want to make sure no one falls victim to these lies ever again. Swim with it at your own risk, sweat with it at your own risk, it is NOT water resistant and if something happens to it and their tech people decide that it is liquid damage they will NOT honour their warranty. Gear Fit 2 Pro is a waste of money!
My gear fit 2 pro stopped working after two months. I sent it for repair and was told that the watch is not under warranty because of liquid damage. Customer service is really bad....I called and chatted with the 5 different agents they have no clue what they are taking about and they cannot resolved the problem/issue. Samsung's review states it can withstand 5ATM. Dont believe what you read!!

I purchased this product after reading Samsung's claim the Gear-fit 2 pro was water resistant. Within the first week of its use it continually turns itself off. What a lemon! Unfortunately I have wasted my money purchasing this product. After using this swimming which the instructions claim you can do the thing will not stay on continually turning itself off. Samsung's review states it can withstand 5ATM the equivalant of 10mins motionless submersion at 50m depths, the next it is 1 hour at 10cm motionless and goes on to warn of avoiding running water ie; tap or hose. Fabulous!
I love this product. As usual Samsung never disappoints. It has all the main features you would want to use for tracking your health and fitness. Also works in sync with my phone which is probably my favourite feature about this device! I have owned others including FitBit, but this is my fave.

Bluetooth connection problems
I have regularly been exoeriencing Bluetooth connectivity and communication problems with Android phone and gear fit 2 pro. Soft resets and re-pairing did not solve problem. I had to carryout a hard reset of the gear fit losing my data and settings to fix the problem. Hopefully this will not be a regular occurrence.

The Samsung Gear Fit 2 Pro should be great - but it is let down by its software, build quality and battery life

Strap broke within 10 months. Had to send off to Samsung (cost me money as 'free postage' could only be collected at a base 35 miles from my house and my car doesn't run on fresh air). Endless charging problems - can't trust the battery - some times lasts 3 days (on power save mode) others a few hours (again on power save mode). Love mine
I received mine with updating my Samsung phone. I love seeing my messages and calls come through. Very light to wear and record my runs, walks and cycling with. I also use the stop watch for my exercising. I would really love to be able to swim with it also.

Disappointed
First swim last week and turned on Speedo On which activates water lock. Swam 60 minutes. I dried device then turned off water lock. 2 Green light flashing the entire time. Would only stop flashing when device was turned off and on. Same thing on 2nd swim. Contacted Samsung online service. Did reset. 3rd swim same thing. If it is meant for swimming and water lock was activated each time and it has water in it, is it not a defect in the Gear Fit 2 Pro? It is brand new but Samsung will not do an exchange. Terrible. Stay away
My gear fit 2 started playing up, not charging straight away having to adjust it on the dock to get it to charge until it stopped charging all together. I took it in to get it fixed. The next day I received a phone call from the technician saying it was water damaged and can’t be repaired. He informed me that I will be receiving a call about a replacement. After a 2 week wait I received that call saying it was my fault that the device was water damaged and will not be replaced.

Strap broke within 12 months
Purchased as a present from eglobaldigitalcameras.com.au in May 2017 and the strap broke within 12 months. As it has a non replaceable strap I would reasonably expect it last longer than 12 months. The retailer claimed it was a damage while it was a failure of either material or design as the breakage was caused by regular, day to day wear.
Extremely disappointed with the product as most of as consider Samsung as a reliable brand and especially with the fact that the product is not covered by warranty.
Also don't waste your money with this retailer as their don't stand by their warranty.

Terrible surely fitbit isn't this bad?
So being haven given this for Xmas as a addition to my Samsung s8+ which is terrific phone I was highly delighted..
However it seems the Watch department is the weakest design area maybe only juniors have a go?
On paper it looks amazing.. in practically it will probably send you to a doctor for stress..

Not a bad smart watch but failed as a fitness tracker
It looks good but I found a few pitfalls which their support couldnt address.
1. Sleep tracking is not accurate.
2. Doesnt accuratelly register steps when I go for a walk with a pram. It doesnt rwgiater any steps at all, or says that I do cycling which is rediculous
I honestly just used it as a watch,not a fitness tracker. I ended up selling it due to inaccurate activity tracking.

I find the battery life very average, maybe get half a day of full use. The biggest problem is when you do a 5km run sometimes it reads 3k and the next run would be 4km. How hard is it to make something that is accurate.

Hi, i was given a gear fit 2 as a present, The sensors have stopped working and ive tried all the suggested fixes. I have no way of getting a copy of the receipt. Samsung have told me it is still under warranty until the 19th of dec 2022 but wont repair it as i have no proof of purchase. if they know the warranty dates why should it matter, they can check all the info via the serial no, NOT happy........does any one know if i have any consumer rights for this repair please? .................seems this is a common problem with these watches too !!

Buy one from EBay but get the one with the clasp and loop not the original as it keeps opening when heavy exercising.
