Useless - Faulty hardware and/or software
Purchased the Samsung Gear Fit 2 at a good price in the January sales, and was very excited to use. Upon first use, I noticed that the step counter was not increasing, and Heart Rate was also not registering on the watch. I then search Google for potential solutions, only to find this is a widespread problem which has not been acknowledged or addressed by Samsung. Will be returning to store for a full refund.
Needless to say my confidence with Samsung has been damaged, and I'll be sticking to Fitbit for the foreseeable future.

Perfect
I absolutely love my watch and wear it every day. It has a great battery life. It connects smoothly and easily with my phone notifying me when I get a message call or notification. It is super helpful and handy to keep track of your fitness with the ability to record water and caffeine intake effortlessly. It keeps track of steps calories and active time also notifying you when you have been inactive. Love it!

They dont honour the warranty
Mine has been in for repair twice because it turns itself off. They replaced battery twice. Last time was only 3 weeks ago and it has stopped already. They say they cant fault it and will not replace or refund. I cant trust it to last a day after a full recharge A complete waste of money.

Great for someone with heart complication
I love my samsung gear! I was lucky to pick mine up very cheap online second hand. I have never wore a watch as they hurt, yet i never take this off! Comfortable and sleek. I have a heart condition and with the continuous heart monitor it has saved me from trying to get doctors to listen. Its also great for monitoring food, weight, water, sleep and caffeine intake. the added features to download such as wrist watch ( my favourite on busting the kids eating snacks) is an added bonus. Best swimming/running sportswatch I've found - at a price that doesn't break the bank
After owning the Samsung Gear Fit2 Pro smartwatch for nearly 3 months and using it regularly for swimming, running and cycling it's hard to pass up at the price (below $200). I specifically like the long, thin format of the screen (rather than the 'round' watches) as it makes it seem less bulky - and the high quality and clarity of the display still allows a lot of info to be displayed.
It reliably counts my swim laps, records lap times, and even records heartrate during the swim - the first waterproof wearable I've found that does this reli...Read more
ably (though I haven't tried an Apple Watch because of the price). So far I've had no issues with the waterproofing. I've followed the general guidelines that apply to all waterproof watches I've previously owned - to NOT press the watch buttons when the watch is submerged. Also make sure you have the Fit2 PRO, not the Fit2 (non-pro), which is NOT waterproof. It has in-built GPS so can track your run or ride as well as recording speeds, heartrate, pace, etc without needing to take your phone with you, and also has built-in memory so you can download MP3 music/audio files to the watch and listen to them while exercising, using your bluetooth headphones/earbuds. There are many different customised watch faces you can download from the Samsung store, so you're sure to find one that suits you - though they all pretty much report the same stats. Being a smartwatch, it interfaces with your mobile phone via bluetooth to display SMS/email/facebook/etc alerts. It also has built-in WiFi that you can use to allow the watch to directly access websites (e.g. for weather information). The only drawbacks are that maximum functionality and access to apps is only available if you have an Android phone that has more than 2GB system memory (no not storage memory). I mainly use an iPhone and, while it works ok generally, I have to put up with a somewhat limited level of functionality (not all apps are accessible from the Samsung store when you try to download via an iPhone). Before you ask... no, you can't pair the watch to more than one phone to download the apps through the Android but use it day-to-day with an iPhone. You can only pair it with one phone at a time and, as soon as you pair it, it resets the watch back to defaults - wiping any apps you may have previously downloaded. It also has limited integration with common health apps and relies on the 'Samsung Health' app to facilitate this (doesn't happen directly from the watch).Similar opinion? Worst purchase ever
I bought two. The first is turning off by itself. The other one the battery drains 10 times faster. On top of that one of them lately dropped down from 20cm table and the screen cracked. The replacement guess what (80% of the original price). The last Samsung product for me.

Expensive piece of garbage
My Gear Fit Pro 2, turn off by itself, don't recognize battery charger or won't turn on. It is really frustrating because I have a Samsung phone and I bought the Gear Fit to connect it to my phone and can't use it at all. It was normal for a few months and after the last update started acting funny. When you try to ask Samsung why, you found out that a lot of people are having the same problem and there is NO Solution. They should be taking the Gear out of the market. Very, very disappointing.

Great except waterproofing
Works great even after more than 1.5 years. Perfect at keeping pace. Count steps, calories used, heart rate, exercise. GPS works great. The only issue is its not waterproof. This has been fixed in the next model.
It helps to keep track of water intake, caffeine intake. It also helps track stress levels. The inbuilt timer is very handy. Lots of free watch faces. Battery life is pretty good. I have been using it continuously with only charging it when i am taking shower and getting ready. If i do that everyday, about 30 min or so, then although it doesn't get fully charged, it lasts well beyond 24 hrs and so effectively, i have been using it continuously.

In summary excellent product so far . I am very pleased with the purchase and would recommend it to anyone at this point.

Very poor service and quality
I purchased this product from DWI Int, 6 weeks into me having it, it turns faulty, switching itself off and on constantly, the back of the watch getting warm, it stopped tracking my movements.
I contacted the company and the replied in a very intimidating and at times threatening manner saying they will charge a total of $90 in postage plus additional cost to do the repairs on the watch!!!!!
I am totally shocked by this as the watch was only 6 weeks old i am, we are all covered as consumers by manufacturing warranties and customers guarantees.
This company should not be allowed to trade with these policies in place im totally disgusted in them, STAY AWAY!!!!!!!

Waste of $ due to easily unsnapping
I liked it a lot but lost it at work, the clasp to keep it closed on your wrist often unsnaps... A waste of $ and to think I purchased one for a family member and lost mine a month later. It was first list in my vehicle because it easily comes off with the half secured, magnetic band clamp. This time I lost it at work and I'm praying someone is honest and turns it in.

Loved it at the start but not reliable
I loved my Samsung Gear Fit 2 when I received it as a gift, that lasted about six months maybe. I run and the watch stopped tracking the distance which was very frustrating. I did a hard reset and it worked again but that only lasted a month or so before it stopped tracking distance again. The only way I can track distance is to take my phone which kind of defeats the purpose.
The battery life leaves a lot to be desired, I only get a days worth if I exercised, two if I didn't, three on power saving.

limited battery life
Battery life is, without a doubt, one of the biggest factors to consider when purchasing a fitness tracker. But limited battery life.
It features the same dual-core Exynos 3250 clocked at 1.6GHz found in the Samsung Gear S2, way up from the custom M4 processor that ran at 160MHz in the Samsung Gear Fit.
FOR:Refined look,Broader compatibility,Impressive value
AGAINST:Barometer issues,Doesn't feature an alarm natively,Limited battery life

Hopeless with faulty replacements
I received a Samsung Gear Fit 2 Pro as a Christmas present. It worked fine for the first month or so and I really liked the watch. However, the problems then started. Every time I tried to use the workout app, it would start and then stop as soon as I moved my arm. I did a hard reset of the watch multiple times and the issue continued. It was still under warranty so I sent it into Samsung for repair. It was returned with the wrist bands on the wrong way so it then had to be sent back again for its second repair. Within a week of receiving the w...Read more
atch back the same problem was still happening and the workout app was not functioning. I then had to send the watch back into Samsung for its third repair. When I got the watch back they stated that they had detected a fault and repaired it. However, the workout app was still not functioning. I spoke to Samsung about a replacement or a refund and they stated that under warranty, the watch needed to have the same problem three times before they would consider providing a replacement. This is because the workout app on a fitness watch was considered a minor fault…..go figure. After this going on for about 7 months, they finally gave in and provided me with a replacement watch, even though I had requested a refund. In disbelief, the new watch had exactly the same fault. I called Samsung and said I’m done with sending the watch in for more repairs and requested a refund. The watch first had to be sent in for assessment before they could make their decision. The assessment was done, fault detected and paper work has finally been sent out to organise a refund. And even after sending in a copy of the receipt with every service they are still requesting multiple documents to demonstrate proof of purchase…. Very disappointed and will never buy another Samsung watch.1 comment

NOT accurate
I have had 7 gear fit 2 pro's. I keep taking them back for being faulty. It's the only way to make Samsung pay cos they don't care. Most of them count about 9 floors when you have done 28 and the steps are way out. I get out of bed. Walk down stairs make a brew and I've done 1200 steps. Should be about 200 max. Useless. I only had one out of 7 that was accurate and the strap broke so they exchanged it for one that was inaccurate that am taking back as faulty. When Argos send all these watches back to Samsung, maybe they will take note.

Inaccurate
Always had suspicion that Gearfit2 pro was not accurate. Today did a 11.7km measured walk. The Gearfit2pro measured 8.9km nearly 3km short. This means step count is inaccurate by 30%. I have been comparing results with an Iphone watch and iit is accurate compared to Samsung, very disappointing. I wish Samsung would fix it but no one wants to help.

Useless - Worst purchase ever
This would have to be one of the worst purchases I have ever made. DO NOT waste your money on this. It is totally inaccurate for recording distance and you can't read the display when you're in sunlight. I purchased so I could track my distance as I regular run. I recently went in a fun run that was 14km. The gear fit pro tracked me as only doing 10 km. It is always out approximately 2km on a 5km run. I have wasted hours on the phone to Samsung talking to someone on the other side of the world who could not help with my problem. After sales service is non existent.

Not designed to get wet
The gear fit2 pro stopped working after 3 months of use. I sent it in for warranty repairs and was told it had water damage and warranty was void. Samsung customer service refused to help at all. I was told that swimming could damage the watch even though its advertised as a swim tracker.
