Shame there isnt an option for 0 stars
Purchased first gear fit pro 2 in July 18, August 18 swapped out for a new one as the one I had had major issues... fast forward a year, and Sept 19, issues again... send watch to Sydney from Western Australia to be told white screen not present during testing, $40 for watch band replacement... well now March 20 and again having problems with a screen that fades out mid use, white screen again, reboots whenever the hell it wants... I was a Samsung gal that introduced Samsung to my Family but looking very quickly now at swapping again

Absolute waste of money
Contacted today that it was going to cost $270 to repair, it is still under warranty and it is the second time in 18months it has gone in for repair.
This time caught in a never ending rebooting loop, battery life was hopeless spent more time on charger than arm, to put into battery saver mode is unreadable. Going into bin!
Purchased in August 2021 for $300.00.

Rubbish product
Finally threw this rubbish product away after 18 months use, both band straps broke off, can't be replaced, terrible product not worth the money paid. Stupid Samsung wanted me to send the product to their Sydney service centre, I live on the Sunshine Coast. Will never touch another Samsung wearable again. Purchase a Fitbit which is far superior, half the price of the Samsung, works well, is accurate, 7-9 days battery life wearing 24/7

Great daily driver for non-intensive use
I've had this watch for three years now and it's still going strong. Love how small and narrow it is. I've had to replace the band once, mainly due to my own doing (got stuck behind a chair). Tip: replace the standard band with a metal link one. I bought a third party band online and it makes the watch look quite classy. Some reviewers here get very angry over a broken band, it is a small and cheap effort to replace it.
There is one catch: I don't use it for intensive exercise, got a chest strap for that. I don't think the watch is water proof as even sweaty palms can throw it off balance. It is perfectly fine for running, cycling and hiking though. Live the built in GPS.

Didn't meet my expectations
The Gear Fit 2 Pro was my first fitness tracker. My main activities are swimming (both pool & open water) as well as walking, running and cycling. Many of my swimming friends were using fitness trackers and smart watches to track their workouts and events. A large bulk of them had the Apple Watch which produced some really good maps of swims. h. I purchased it through a Speedo Shop, and it was sold to me as a great swimming watch featuring the Speedo On app. It was not cheap at the time with a price tag of around $300+. Yesterday after my swim it appeared to be flat but on return to home it had apparently died. Couldn't even charge it to do a reboot. I've had a chequered history with this device but feel I am done with Samsung Wearables. Most of my compatriots that aren't using Apple Watches are using Garmins and have very favourable experiences so I moving over to them. Overall my view of the Gear Fit 2 Pro is that it's probably ok for someone involved in base level recreation and fitness activities but not ideal for hard core training, especially for swimming. Pro's are: It looks good and feels comfortable to wear, Good resolution screen, touch screen that is easy to use, 2 simple push buttons which are easy to navigate, has it's own built in fitness apps but also supports other apps such as MapMyRun, Strava and Speedo On, It connects and synchronises really well with my phone as well as receives notifications from various apps and phone calls. Cons are: It died after 2 years (I exercised daily with reasonable effort), HR sensor inferior to Apple and Garmin (slow to pick up HR, sometimes read double actual HR at rest and often froze when performing activity at higher intenisty), Very Poor Battery (without doing a workout requires recharging after 1 day, but flattens very quickly with a work out, often dropping from 100% to less than 30% for a 30 to 60 min workout) Poor GPS (takes some time to acquire GPS and Maps of routes are often incomplete due to this and drop outs), Poor performance as a swimming tracker (Speedo On works ok but not always accurate in the pool. When I first got the Gear Fit, the Speedo On app was so poor I stopped using the whole watch in the pool, but then there was an update and it did improve markedly. The watch also doesn't manage open water swimming well, unable to even remotely record adequate distance and maps), Poor durability of the watch band (In the 2 and a bit years I had the watch I had to get a new watch band. To Samsung's credit the first band was replaced under warranty, but after a year the outer layers of the second band were peeling again making the watch look shabby), Small screen makes it difficult to read if you use glasses, especially in the pool, also tricky to read in the sunlight. Overall, I don't think the Gear Fit 2 Pro is a bad product, but it's not heavy duty enough for semi serious to serious athletes who want spot on accurate data. My confidence with this wearable is not high due to the reasons I've given above,so I won't be looking at their other models. I bought my wife an Apple Watch 3 last year and it absolutely trumps this product, which is disappointing as Samsung is such a great brand. The only thing stopping me from moving to an Apple Watch is that it can only pair with iPhone and I am more than happy with my S8. My research and feedback from friends has lead me to the Garmin. Not really water proof. Band easily breaks. Otherwise great little watch.
Great device. Bought myself and hubby one
1. Water proofing not good. Had to be fixed in first year. Now 2-3 months later went in surf watch will not turn on even after rinsing. Looks like another trip to repair, as I suspect its a leak again I hope it comes under their warranty. Not willing to pay for it just to leak a 3rd time.
2. Hubby's band broke, Samsung dont supply spare bands and want to charge to put one on as it's not covered under warranty. Got generic from ebay which broke, got 2nd from ebay, lasting well.

Poor Quality and Terrible Customer Service
Samsung customer service is the worst! As are their products. I have a Samsung Gear Fit2Pro watch that only lasted 2 years. They refused to fix it. The band is separating from the main watch face and is now unsafe to wear. I asked to speak with a manager and was refused. I will be replacing a lot of electronics in my house this year and non of them will be Samsung. I will never purchase another Samsung product as both their products and customer service are trash.

nd they said none were available to speak with me and refused to have one call me at a later time. This is terrible customer service for a faulty product. Bad battery life, impossible to charge
I've had this for just over 2 years and im totally over it. Charge lasts less than a day and the charging dock is extremely unreliable. I put it on charge and it sometimes never charges, its a bad design. The band has also worn badly and looks shabby.

My Gear Fit 2 Pro is 16 months old and today just went blank. The sensor lights were still working so I knew that it was turned on. After trying to find numerous fixes online I contacted Samsung Support. The operator told me that it must be a software issue and asked me to remotely reset the watch via my phone. I did so with no success except now I have no sensor lights either. With it no longer being attatched to my phone, I can't tell if it's on or not. Could be better
I purchased the Gear when I bought my Galaxy S9+ thinking it would be a good replacement for the 2nd Fitbit that broke down. I was wrong! Battery life was so bad I had to charge it every night, in comparison to the every 3 nights with the Fitbit. Wouldn't do too well whenever I go off grid in my travels. The Gear is also quite a bulky watch and stood out on my wrist quite a bit - I have small wrists. The watch also only lasted me 16 months before the strap broke totally away near the face and can't even be fixed or replaced. So now I'm not tracking anything as I can't decide whether I want another tracker, but if I do I'm just going to go with a cheap one like the Garmin Vivofit. Maybe it will be a Xmas present to self :-)

I received this watch as a present for Christmas last year. After a couple of days of wearing it (not at work, I have a regular gear fit 2 for work and used the pro as a "going out watch") I noticed the sensors had stopped working (the sensor to auto turn on the screen, pedometer and HR) and googled to find the only fix was to flatten the battery all the way then recharge. I recently smashed the screen on my gear fit 2, so decided I'd better sort out my Pro before the warranty runs out, but on returning it I was told that it had "signs of shock" and therefore would not be covered, as I hadn't claimed it straight away. Also given a $230 bill if I wanted to pay to fix it. Why offer a 24 month warranty if nothing can be claimed after a certain time? This watch had no real shocks (it was literally worn less than 15 times, and never at work, never even for any fitness activities. The biggest impact it would have received would be getting thrown back in the drawer to let the battery die again) Also, why would a shock void the warranty for a watch designed for fitness tracking in the first place? wife also has one that has had a few glitches but now ok. just waiting for it to fail now.
not worth the hassle of getting repaired cos second hand ones are cheap but most likely will fail also

Save your money and don't buy this product or you will be left out of pocket. This watch is not waterproof and it is easily water damaged even with sweat.

Been repaired 2 times now going back again.
Been sent in 2 times for repair. The last time the screen was replaced at $220. New screen lasted 2 weeks now flashing again. I will be looking for a refund on this. I have a 2nd gear fit pro and I hope it lasts. Samsung tells customers we damage them. No it's your product that's at fault.

Faulty bands, terrible battery, heart rate not working
Got this watch for Xmas. Wore for less than 2 months and one band connection broke. Was told no warranty because of 'trauma'. Argued the fact and they finally agreed to replace one half of the wristband. Also complained that even though I hadn't even downloaded a single App, I could barely get 24hrs out of the battery. Was told battery tested fine. 1 month later second half of wristband broke. I ended up buying a full replacement band however then the heart rate monitor now completely stopped working. Faulty wrist band
I am on my second gear fit 2 pro watch in less than 2 years and the wrist band has broken again. Samsung has refused to give me a refund. Its obviously a faulty product if it can't even last 12 months. Im not happy and very disappointed. It doesn't give me much confidence for all the other Samsung products around my house if something went wrong with them.

Bought two they both died after 6 months, never been wet. I sent for warranty and returned it without repair. As if nothing had happened, total disrespect. More than $ 500 in the trash. I still have them to show to other people include the invoice.

Worst fitness tracker ever
Regularly stops registering my heart rate no matter how loose/tight you have it. Doesn't register activity, stops midway through a workout if heart rate reaches above 98 bpm. Seriously its awful i have more screaming matches with this pathetic watch than i do my kids. I just completed a 45 rpm/spin class i get my heart rate to 171 i push hard and yet my watch says i did a "light workout" for 19mins. I'd like to replace my watch band with the exact one it came with. Where can I buy them from? Amazon has bands for the watch, which I purchased but of course not the same quality. As well they do not attach properly as the original band did.
