Exceptional service after breakdown outside warranty period
Really happy with the TV and picture quality, but two years outside of the warranty period the screen completely failed. With the intention of getting some troubleshooting advice we called the service line and were amazed when they sent a technician who replaced the motherboard, free of charge, no questions asked. Kudos to Samsung, that is great service in this day and age. Will recommend to others and happy to invest in the brand again because of it.
Purchased in August 2021 at The Good Guys for A$1,248.00.

Awful remote and customer service
Very disappointed with the remote - hate it in fact. TV sound and colour ok. Was watching it one night and the screen went black. Google tells the story of this TV and Samsung in general. Apparently a common problem and expensive to fix. Won't buy another Samsung. Customer service was very disappointing.
Purchased in March 2021.

Very good
We Purchased the Samsung Smart Tv 2 - 3 Years ago. No problems and easy to operate.
We also have a UA55HU8500Wxxy No Problems. I'm a Repair man for Washing machines and Fridges.
My opinion over Samsung : TV, OK --- Washers OK ---- Fridges look great and the price is right, but don't buy one.
That is just my opinion! Our Son bought one second hand ( 2 door / ice / Water ) 1 year old and I warned him, because I know they are no good. After 18 month stopped but he had the Warranty papers from the previous owner.
Inverter fridge with 4 electronic boards at the back plus the display board. 2 Mainboards have been changed under warranty. A week later stopped again but it recovered ???

Great TV with appalling remote control
I love the TV. Picture is sharp, clear and the colours are reasonably natural, not over saturated.
The sound is excellent for a 32 inch flat screen TV. (flat screen TVs are usually awful, my 21 inch CRT TV from 20 years ago sounded way better). I had small external speakers plugged in for better sound, but no longer use them due to a frustration which I will mention in a moment. The standard inbuilt speakers sound pretty good, but nothing special. (Most 32 inch TVs these days sound really dreadful, so that is actually a plus point for the S...Read more
amsung.) The inbuilt stand is solidly made, not wobbly like several other TVs we looked at. Our cat hasn't knocked it over yet... There are two or three annoyances with this TV, first the big one. The remote control is DREADFUL. It is very small and so doesn't have a couple of wanted functions, including a "last channel" button. Most TVs have a button so you can flick between 2 channels easily. The Samsung doesn't. There are also no numbers on the remote, so you can't enter a channel number, you can only press channel up or channel down. So if you are watching channel 2 and want to keep an eye on channel 99 for a coming program, you have to scroll all the way up to 99 and all the way down again to 2. (I know, first world problem...) Also the remote is curved to make it fit in your hand, but it is so curved that it doesn't sit flat on the table. When you put it down it often wobbles side to side and sometimes rolls over sideways and presses its own mute button. The small size of the remote means Samsung were limited in how many buttons they could fit on the top, so the mute button has been stuck on the left side. It is really annoying, when you pick up the remote, pass it to someone or bump it accidentally when putting it down, you hit the mute button. Despite having only limited real estate on top of the remote, they have wasted a button on a "soccer mode" function which over-saturates the colour and brightness, and turns the sound up really loud. Each time it is pressed, it makes a loud roar, trying to simulate a cheering crowd. I hate that button. I have never intended to press that button but have bumped it hundreds of times. The remote has a small touch sensitive bit in the centre for navigating smart TV functions. It is clumsy and insensitive to use. When keyboard input is required, the process is awful. A keyboard appears on the screen, and you point the remote and move it to make your wanted key light up, then select each key. It is very slow, inaccurate and cumbersome.Similar opinion? Good TV, Have Not Complains
I have bought it one year ago and the TV is working good. Only I prefer to have control button on TV as sometimes is not easy to find remote control. Slow response another issue. Apart from these don't have any other problem. Happy with the purchase and the price what I have paid.

Good smart TV
We got the 65" Model about 23 months ago.
It is a very good picture, with good sound also.
It connects to our home network via Ethernet cable, though it also worked wirelessly.
We can watch just about any format movie from the network on it without problem.
3D isn't as good as I'd hoped. I have watched all the big 3D movies, but the 3D has great depth into the TV, but nothing jumps out of the TV like I was hoping for

Does this model have built-in Freeview?

I don't think so. From memory when we bought our TV, we asked and they told us it would come with an update at a later stage. I have never checked to see it it has updated. How would I check?
