Smart and easy to use
This unit was purchased to replace a 14 year old 52" Sony HDTV, mostly because the old unit lacked USB connectivity.
The most noticeable difference is the actual physical dimensions and weight. It's physically smaller despite the larger screen and weighs about half as much.
Set-up was quick thanks to the guided menus and even though the remote looks overly simple (with only a handful of buttons) it not only is easy to use but controls our IQ3 as well.

Better than expected
Upgraded from series 7 so didn't expect much more, however, sooo much better. Immediately connected to 5 KHz, more features. The only negative (initially) is how to navigate the new all in one remote. But was fun learning. Samsung smart things app just simply had TV up and running in no time at all.
I would recommend this to anyone in the $1000 odd range.

Dead panel after 1 day - black bar top to bottom
Brand new. Installed on the afternoon of delivery. Everything worked well. BUT, black bars on the screen 3" wide appeared from top to bottom with glitchy white patch at top. Rang the Samsung Help Line, they are sending out a repairman to take a look.
UPDATE: New panel installed by technician and things are working again. However, I now own a brand new repaired TV. Kind of takes the lovely NEW feeling out of it. I have no idea why it just wasn't replaced with a new one which would have been a more efficient option and given me back the lovely NEW feel. Other things: -Feet for table mount are too close together, our original Samsung soundbar doesn't fit on feet (rounded and slightly angled) and won't fit between them. Move them outwards 4" and it would fit nicely under the panel. -New remote is good. But the volume and channel up down is not instantly user-friendly. It looks like a press rather than toggle up and down. Unable to directly access channels anymore - ie can't press '22' as there is no numbers.

Love my Samsung TV
I purchased this TV about 8 weeks ago and could not be happier with my selection. It is my first Smart TV therefore I was apprehensive at first as I do not consider myself very 'tech savvy' but have been pleasantly surprised with the ease of the operation.

This replaces a similarly sized Panasonic that is 6 years old and a lot less advanced.
Pros:
Natural picture, hi-res, easy to adjust.
Excellent remote that is intuitive and small.
Built in Netflix, with a simple app for Stan and SBS OnDemand etc.
Sleek footprint, tidy at the back.
