The drum rusted and hence clothes came out stained black.
Calling Samsung was useless as they were unable to provide any help at all.
Would not recommend Samsung for whitegoods and would never purchase a samsung washing machine again.

I purchased the 9 kg Samsung in 2013 which worked well for the first few years and then started to self destruct on spin. I contacted Samsung and they agreed to fix it even though it was out of warranty. The problem was a faulty main bowl that the clothes go into and has a balancing problem built into the top of bowl. The machine worked perfectly for about another year and started doing the same thing when it came to the spin cycle. I contacted Samsung who politely told me that would not fix it again. I spoke to a washing machine repair company...
Read more who told me that this particular machine did have a problem with the balancing area of the main bowl and that the cost of replacing it would not be worth doing. I am extremely annoyed with Samsung as apart from the balancing problem the machine works perfectly and they should replace the bowl with a new and improved bowl to show people like myself that they are prepared to back their products no matter what the situation is.Purchased in for $877.

Worst machine I have ever owned. So noisy and clunky. Nothing but problems since I have had it (6 years), the inside started to rust after 2 years around the bleach dispenser - I never use it! - and has the worst filter system ever - clothes always coming out with lint and crap on them even with clean filters.
I will never buy a Samsung product again.

We bought this 9kg washer and after 3-5 people using it for less than 2 years parts started to need to be replaced and it just went downhill from there. It wouldn’t fill with enough water to clean, it wouldn’t clean the clothes even when it magically had enough water, it was loud, it started to rust, we live 2 hours from the beach and have a ridiculously expensive water filter so not sure how that happens. According to Samsung although so many parts had to be replaced in the warranty period and they recommended that we should only use the heavy duty cycle to try and get the water levels right (which didn’t work) the machine worked appropriately. I would recommend hand washing over this expensive piece of landfill.

Worst and most expensive washing machine we've ever purchased. It never washed clothes adequately no matter what cycle we used - played up from day one with a loud clicking noise from within the body of the machine and didn't want to proceed onto the next faze. Got caught with it going bung when we went to town and left it to do it's thing and came home after 6 hours to find it still clicking away with still 20 minutes to go on the wash cycle. It had got stuck in this faze and had been going ALL day! Now after 4.5 years it's PCB board has given...
Read more it up and the only way to get the washing out was to forcibly break the lid lock! We live in the country and it's too difficult to get anyone to service it. What a piece of crud. Samsung - we'll never buy anything with the Samsung brand on it ever again!!Purchased in at Masters Home Improvement for $876.

This is my mums washing machine. She had it repaired last year and now it has stopped working again. The water won't drain and Samsung support won't send anyone out as it is past it's use by date. We called a repairer and he said the PCB board had gone. This machine is only 6 years old. it should have last a lot longer than 6 years. My Fisher and Paykel is over 10 years old and still going strong. I put in complaints to ACCC, Samsung and fair trading. Samsung DOES NOT WANT TO HELP AN 81 YEAR OLD WOMAN. Very poor customer service. Consumer law does not apply as it's too old. Why can't you just repair it out of good will.

Not only agree with the other negative reviews about the poor wash quality, try dealing with Samsung for frustration. After being told it did NOT have lint filters it took a photo to convince Samsung staff that it did but even then they could not comprehend or advise how to get the gunk out of the area in and below the lint filters. It took a letter to the CEO to get action.
The lint filters fall out if a heavy load is run, I've just spent $40 on another pair.

This machine has never washed clothes properly. Leaves them dirty. I tried using a heavy wash for sheets and it has ripped the sheets. Adds stains from the washing machine onto the clothes. Constantly been horrible ever since I got it. I'm done. Had it under 4 years and I'm going to have to buy a new washing machine

I will emphasise that you do not use water softener with this machine. We have had this Samsung W/M for about 4 years now and changed from powder to liquid as would have thought would dissolve. Found either way that the stains do not come out, and every now and again have a terrible problem with muck left on the clothes. It looks like a gritty mess. Cleaned so many times but still the same. Told it was water softener.

Leaves so much lint on the clothes it looks like I've washed a sheep with them! Dosent clean very well at all. You cannot wash using 100% cold water - if you turn off the hot tap, the machine refuses to work. If you select cold wash, it still uses hot (the manual says some rubbish about the sensor needing a small amount of hot water to properly adjust itself) and the hot comes on first, effectively setting any stains and potentially damaging delicate items. A little off balance and the whole machine shudders so much the hose comes off the back, flooding the laundry. Never again will I be lured by the large capacity and lack of agitator. Happy - NOT.

Washes clothes poorly, doesn't put enough water in the wash cycle.
2 years old and it keeps flashing up with errors, this has got to be one of the worst machines I've ever purchased.
I strongly urge people to steer clear of buying this washing machine! Not worth the good amount of money I paid for it.

This machine has been a nightmare ever since I bought it. The clothes are never clean...they have lint on them, the simple stains/dirt never comes out. The washer now won't spin the clothes, so I am calling Samsung for a credit. We will see what they do...I am expecting nothing from them.

Today my machine overflowed and has flooded my house. The water doesn’t cut off so I have had to turn it off at the wall. Recently it would only let me wash on the Cotton cycle so I cannot use any other cycle. When I bought this machine new 5 years ago i thought I was buying a top of the line washing machine that would last me at least 10 years. Being a single mum with 3 small kids I cannot afford to just go out and replace this one nor get a fixit man to come and fix it. Does anybody know how to get it working again?
Our machine is 7 years old now and the spin cycle is always have a unbalanced error code is it worth fixing
The bowl is faulty and Samsung replaced mine out of warranty which I appreciated but only replaced it with the same faulty bowl and it ended up doing the same thing.
Purchased new around 10 years ago. Drum Self destructed after a couple of years and was repaired by Samsung without question. Balancing issue - 5 years ago failed and got that repaired….hot water master water valve corrodes and causes meltdown of pcr board during cycle. Not real certain that a Samsung will be my next choice.
Went through the same nightmare with the drum having a balancing problem. Samsung agreed to replace the drum out of warranty but they are replacing with the same faulty drum. Balancing problems happen...
