A personal approach; not just a standard form letter
Like many people I was concerned at losing the value of my pre-purchased vouchers, so I wrote in some hope that perhaps vouchers could be exchanged for "takeaways" instead of "Dine-in": or perhaps extended by many months. the answer I received from Marvell was a model of assistance, good will and understanding. Always a good experience
I purchased a dining experience through Scoopon that had to be cancelled because of the Coronavirus. Scoopon was great in immediately offering me a refund. I dealt with a wonderful staff member named Charlee, who was very helpful!

This is a copy of a post I put on scoopon facebook page hoping to get a response. "Been sending emails and telephoning all to no avail our booking was on 19th March in New York at the Bowery 50 hotel as I was unable to get response from scoopon contacted hotel direct.The Hotel 50 Bowery were happy to cancel booking but could not find booking under my name or booking number given to me by scoopon. Corona Virus travel assistance - no contact received
I was supposed to fly out to Bali on 28 March. I tried managing my booking online but was only offered new dates in May. I have sent 2 emails and tried ringing multiple times. I am on hold for 2 hours and then the call cuts out.
I then saw you made an option to put the holiday on hold. I did this only to get a message I need to book new dates by 30 March - again before end of May.
I have emailed the hotel (Sofitel Nusa Dua) directly. They are happy offer flexibility to extend but need changes made and communicated by Scoopon.
Please contact as soon as possible. I have flights also that need to be considered.... or change options online to extend dates for rebooking. Then we can self-serve.

No reply for over 48 hours
Trying to refund a restaurant voucher I now can’t use. Have sent requested form twice via Scoopon website, but no reply. Groupon by comparison, refunded a voucher to my credit card within minutes via online chat. Lift your customer service Scoopon. No company, no matter what, should ignore their customers.

No joy at the moment but hurray things changed
Tuesday I’m waiting on the phone for someone to get back to me I have sent 2 emails re a booking I have made to Sri Lanka - circumstances have changed due to the virus! It is frustrating and stressful!
After all of this Its Friday and I have been dealing with Cecilia and I am so thankful that now things have been sorted out Thankyou so much Cecilia really looking forward to the holiday in Sri Lanka corona virus has had a big impact on so many people it’s nice to know Scoopon is a reputable business - I can’t wait to travel again!!

No response re COVID-19
Hi Scoopon Team, I have sent a request about an upcoming Bali booking as the hotel said they cannot help me without your authority. I sent it 3 days ago and haven’t heard back.
I know you must be receiving a high volume of queries from people desperate for help but why not send a bulk email or put an announcement on your web site as a start to helping answer customers?

Response please regarding corona
I have a Hoi An holiday booked in two weeks and have contacted Scoopon several times by email after the hotel told me they cannot take any action without Scoopon authority. Scoopon has not published a Corona policy and action plan - unlike other similar agencies. Scoopon please respond.

Terrible Customer service
I have tried to contact them Scoopon by phone on numerous occasions sometimes on hold for hours no one ever answers the phone. Sent numerous emails no answer. I am so frustrated and disappointed how can a company treat people in this manner. Happy to communicate when booking the holiday but when you need assistance they ignore you!

Very poor customer service and no response
I’ve been trying to contact scoopon in relation to an accomodation voucher as flights have been cancelled due to corona virus. I’ve emailed numerous times and sat on hold for extended periods all to no avail. I understand there will be a lot of people in a similar situation, however even an automated response to say we’re inundated and will contact you with an estimated timeframe. We’re due to use the voucher Saturday so need to know where we stand. Instead of no communication and no returning emails or calls. Very disappointed
As we buy regularly through scoopon.

Impossible to get hold of customer service
I have been trying to get through to customer care since Friday. No answer on the phone lines even after 45 min on hold and no response or acknowledgement of emails sent. I have tried messaging on Instagram and Facebook. I understand these are challenging times but there really needs to be a better response from Scoopon to reassure customers!

Have been trying to contact Scoopon to no avail about a cancelled booking, two emails over 60 hours ago and numerous telephone calls left on hold for 1 1/2 hours plus and still no joy, no customer service no care factor and no response - don’t ever buy a travel deal or use this company ever you have been warned

Terrible Customer Service
Further to my review on Product Review on Thursday last, where I had had no response from Scoopon regarding a terrible experience we had at The Hyatt Regency Sydney, I finally received several private msgs from [name removed] at Scoopon via Product Review after I had written my scathing review. The left hand doesn't appear to know what the right hand is doing at Scoopon, as one of the msgs stated that I had a booking for Friday 13 March at 6 p.m. which is completely untrue and ridiculous as the voucher was for Saturday or Sunday lunch at 12 pm ...Read more

Their final msg to me stated that as we had been booked in last Sunday that we would have to forfeit the voucher at a cost of $89 but that they would give me a $20 Scoopon credit if I took down the review I had written previously! I declined this paltry offer and will NEVER deal with such a disreputable organisation again. I'm just glad I hadn't bought a holiday from them otherwise I would have been out of pocket far more than $89.1 comment

I've tried to contact Scoopon about a refund (for a dinner voucher that we cannot redeem as the restaurant is now temporarily closed). The restaurant referred me to Scoopon.
