We paid just under $2000 for $20,000 worth of work and 3 years into it we have only got $600 of work, they tell me i am getting 50 leads a week, when in fact i lucky to see 20 in a year, and try ask for my money back and get told NO, they are thieves

I signed up for 6 months thinking it was going to be exactly what the overseas caller had told me "a surplus of jobs" in your field (electrician) . Instead it was actually a lack of jobs, I called up and complained but they didn't really do anything they just kept saying the jobs would pick up, they it never did ... experience has left a sour taste in my mouth

I have been a Tradie on Service Central for about 2 years.
In the beginning, it was okay. Job leads were low, but I did make some money.
Now I get nothing.
When you ring these people, they don't answer the phone.
When you email, there is no response.
This website doesn't even appear prominently in Google searches anymore.
Looks like the managers have abandoned this website and moved on to another, or maybe just gone out of business.
BE AWARE - Trading Post own Service Central. Both companies are a disgrace. Stay away from Service Central and stay away from Trading Post.

I paid $ 4,400 for my business to be listed with service central and have not received one job in the 3 year I have been with them .. Huge rip-off and they don't get back to you after calling them several times, tradies do not use this company as they take your money and give you nothing.

I expected a tradesperson from my area but instead got one from 1/2 an hour. He did not properly diagnose the problem or fix it. He worked on my dishwasher and knew the problem was intermittent. He took my money, gave no receipt. I would not recommend this service. I gave feedback to service central and they gave me his response. I am wondering if they gave the tradesman my feedback without my permission. There is a safety aspect here as I have no idea who he was. He gave no receipt, I only have a phone number. This concerns me and I have told Service central this. This review asks for proof of purchase, but obviously I have nothing. As one other reviewer said these are not tradesman of the calibre you would wish for.

They came, took our oven door away for repair and $400.00 and GOODBYE! We have been unable to find them again, and we cannot get our oven door back either.

i dont think these are the kind of people I'd like to work on my next property, honestly i dont really think they're good enough or polite enough. would not recommend...

We paid 2000 and have done 2 jobs in almost 3 years.
All we get is Friday funnies and when we enquirer in what the hell is going on deafness falls upon us. This was the greatest waste of money I have spent in 30 years and if you are looking at using them do me a favor give the money to the children hospital at least it is helping the kids. We give always to them and I get better satisfaction then I get from this inept shambolic and dodgy business.

Beware tradies, this company will constantly harass you for your private company details and will treat you like crap if you request to remove your listing. I have just found out that this brand is now part of APN media and nothing has change in the way they operate. DON'T USE THEM AT ALL.

BEWARE,paid $1000 upfront because I was promised all this work to which I only had a few leads that were so far away.to add insult they start sending me Friday funnies by email,how pathetic.

Tradies beware!
If you are a tradesman then don't say you haven't been warned. These shonks will promise you heaps of work and great value for money, ask for $2000 then $3k then $4k until you end up in court with no return on $$$. Trust me, there are so many better companies out there with pay per lead without thousands up front, so leave Service Central to die out like all the other dodgy internet companies.

We paid almost 2000 for this service.
Had nothing but issues and have had 12 jobs in 2 years and some were even gone before we had a chance to even accept.
We also have trouble logging in the jobs are few if any.
Wasted our money but we might get one job to do.
We are a cleaning firm.
Better with hi pages or service seeking.
We had more success for less outlay.

After paying nearly 2k up front for leads/jobs I've had about 3 jobs sent me in almost 12 months, and even then the jobs were well over an hours drive away. Basically I've just thrown $2000 in the bin. *Tradies do not use*

A message to all tradesman, if you pay these guys up front then don't expect anything in return. Like so many other advertising companies
out there they are just the same so DONT PAY UP FRONT!!!!! They will lie to your face.

Having used Service Central for many years and with a lot of success, I made a request for kitchen renovations on the Mornington Peninsula, never heard anything from any tradesmen - very disappointing.

We have many properties and are always needing something fixed, replaced, renovated. I have used Service Central for years. I found the best painter ever on here, roof repairer, fridge regaser, carpenter etc.
Ring with your job then the tradies will call if they are available. It is up to you to then read the tradies reviews before you accept them for a job. I am happy with service central and find them much easier than looking up the White pages or local papers trying to hunt down a tradie.

I've used service central a couple of times and have been generally happy with the response. I do agree with the other comments if getting some responses or no responses. I think this has to do with the tradespeople choosing jobs that need to be done immediately rather then wasting their time providing quotes only.

We used Service Central a few years ago to get quotes for a few jobs. One we got one response and they turned out to be a great find, but the others we didn’t even get a response. The idea behind it is great but there are others sites that do the same that seem to get a better response.
