you need to level dishwasher so the door lines up with the body by using the legs by unscrewing up and until you have squared the washer up and the lights will go to normal .push power switch and then select cycle hold start/pause button.

Turns out if was a fault with the closing mechanism. The latch had broken. SMEG technician came and fixed.

Hi,

I have a DWAU6315X that seems to need a reset. All dashboard lights are on and remain on, including the 'lock key' and the 1h timer - all buttons are unresponsive. It doesn't commence a wash. I have left the unit disconnected (plug out) for an extended period and upon reconnection I am faced with the same lights. Can you please provide direction on this (+ the reset procedure)?

Thanks
Liam

The lock on the door maybe broken and needs to be replaced... I had the same problem... on mine the was a red light on the quick set button (reducing the time of the wash)... if so this is what happened to me... service man replaced the lock and it was all good again.. I have had this dishwasher for a few months now and I have had two problems already... under warranty and they acted quickly but a bit of a pain on a new product that is supposed to be great. Hope this helps.... your reset procedure is correct as far as I can see but I don't think it is the reset.

My 4 month old machine of above model number has stopped working. Following it's last cycle, it shows --- on the display but won't take any input from the program buttons, just stays at ---
Then it switches itself off automatically after a few minutes, so I guess the timer circuit is still working, but just not taking any inputs from the cycle buttons.
Is there some way I can reset the processor?
Thanks

Just installed a DWA16314X model and have tried multiple loads and programs yet non of them are drying the dishes they are still extremely wet. This is very disappointing as the 2 Normal ECO, 3 ECO, 4 Intensive & 5 Ultra Clean have the dry cycle.

Dear AJB. Thank you for your enquiry. Are you using rinse aid? Rinse aid is necessary to help dry the dishes.
Hope this helps

Hi, we bought this dishwasher 2 days ago and the dishes are left very wet. We’ve tried multiple different cycles with the same results. From what I can see, if you’re using tablets (so using the flexi tabs button), the rinse aid will not be used?? Is there a way to use the rinse aid AND the tablets? I shouldn’t have to go and buy separate salt and detergent for the dishwasher to use rinse aid and actually dry the dishes.... This is not a cheap dishwasher and you should be able to just pop in a tablet and have it do a proper job..

Hi Jen,
Thanks for your enquiry. We recommend to de-select the tab function so the dishwasher will dispense rinse aid in the final rinse. Unfortunately, not all tabs have sufficient rinse aid built in to achieve the desired drying result.
Hope this helps

I have a smeg dishwasher that is over 10 years old and was already installed when j purchased my home. It has been repaired once and is currently not working and basically I have not used it for over 5 years. My question is should I get it repaired, given age and durability of parts etc, or simply replace. I have no idea of the ‘shelf life’ of these appliances. Your advice please

I have a DWAU6314X dishwasher, it is just over 2 years old and the door lock mechanism has broken, this is going to be repaired under warranty, my questions are, 1- the metal part of the catch is what broke, is this a common problem with this model, and 2-is it usual for such a basic part to take nearly 2 weeks just to get to the service agent and then they will only schedule the repair after the part has arrived.

From what I've read error code E3 is when the dishwasher isn't heating up. That's solved by replacing the heating element. Sounds like you need to speak with Smeg service.

Hi Daveo1970,
Please ensure the dishwasher is leveled correctly as this can stop the door locking properly and therefore the machine won't start.

Dishwasher is almost 2 yrs old now and we are starting to see issues. We clean everything monthly and recently the LED panel in the middle no longer lights up when we start it. We can start any cycle however as soon as it comes to the part where the tab needs to be released the dishwasher beeps twice and the cycle stops. Water has started pooling at the bottom and the tap dispenser is still closer. Called the customer service and they tried to reset over the phone, which didn't help and now we need to wait 4! weeks to get someone to service it which is frankly quite ridiculous. Anyone here who had the same issue and can help so we do not have to call anyone in?

Hello,
We have a DWA6315x dishwasher, purchased in March 2017. We now keep getting a E06 error message on a regular basis. We have removed the filters in the bottom of the machine and cleaned them, but it doesn’t seem to make much difference. Where else should we clean to solve problem.?

Maybe check for a drainage problem elsewhere (like the drain pump). You could also call smeg Australia on 07 3266 0444. Hope that helps

Please check the the drain spigot where the drain hose is connected to house plumbing as this a can become blocked.

Graeme

Thanks, the drain spigot ( New) had an excess piece of plastic that was protruding into the opening and catching debris and slowing flow down. All cleaned up now so should not have any more issues, thanks for the tip.

Our DWAU6315X IS SHOWING EO1 and a pump is constantly running.
turning off and on doesn`t help.
any ideas ?

Dear D T,
EO1 is indicating that the anti flood device has been tripped and the Dishwasher would need to be inspect to ascertain the reason for this. If you could please forward your details to [email protected] and the service depart will arrange a service call with our local service agent.

Our brand new Smeg DWAU6315X which we had installed 10 days ago is not dissolving the washing tablet correctly we are finding it in the bottom of the washer although the dishes are perfectly clean, I'm also having a problem with the dinner plates which cause the rotating arm to hit the tops unless we lay them down almost flat, they are a normal size, do you have any suggestions ?

1 answer
Smeg
Rodney M.Smeg

Dear JenniDW,
Thank you for your feedback on your new Smeg dishwasher. Tablets don't dissolve in quick wash program. We recommend a powder detergent or to try another tablet brand which dissolves faster. Make sure you have the FlexiTab button activated. The middle basket is height adjustable in three different heights. Please refer to your instruction manual on page 35 (version B) which shows you how to adjust the basket to suit the size of dinner plates you are washing.
Hope this helps

It's Christmas Eve and this dishwasher has failed. Six months old and a dud. Unable to program, unable to close the door. Have heard this d/w is made in China now- is this correct? So very disappointed with this machine.
Will have to go back to the property developer and proceed from there. Process will take a very long time .

Hi Fifi the door will not close if the middle basket is not on the same level on both sides, and it is made in Italy.

I have a question about the knocking noise coming from our DWAI6315XT. It seems to be related to the detergent dispenser as it only starts after the detergent is release and can only be stopped by opening and closing the door. The detergent dispenser flap is being hit by the upper spray arm. We have the upper basket in the lower position to give plenty of room for tall glasses. Dishwasher is still under warranty an I would like it sorted before it runs out. We already had a Smeg service guy out to fix the door rope which is a bit of a worry when it's only had 4 months use. Any ideas?

I don’t think I can help really. Our machine is working well. I have not to date had any concerns about the dishwasher. We have not had any odd noises or any other peculiarity. It is now about 4 months old and so far no problems.
