Incredible Music Artist Library App for LG TV
Surprising to find out that better than the Spotify app on the Xbox One S 500GB game console is the Spotify app on my LG 65" product-reviewed 4K TV. Took a while to play around menu's search button if entering the artist's name eg "FKA twigs", you would definitely get albums and songs available from the artist, but if you enter the title album "LP1" you will get many artists of different genres with albums of the same title. When using the LG TV remote control, and by clicking on the artist's album from a massive digital song/album library such...Read more
as LP1 - FKA twigs and pressing the PLAY button that needs to be un-hidden by moving the cursor up underneath the title album heading, so that you can choose to play the whole album in order, or repeat by pressing the repeat symbol once, or just repeat one song from the album by clicking on the repeat symbol twice. New release albums tend to be louder in volume compared to old classic albums right from the early 60s-70s era. Excellent Dolby Digital sound output from the TV's optical audio socket to 2012 model Yamaha receiver 5 mini speaker home theatre system. Because I chose monthly unlimited data from service provider Dodo at around $70 per month including home phone package, I decided not to take Spotify's subscription paid option and their free service is an absolute generous bonus to those on a tight budget, even if the Spotify ads are very rarely repetitive and annoying.Similar opinion? Cancelled Spotify subscription completely but they keep charging me for premium!
I signed up to Spotify Premium for a couple of months, then wasn't using it. I cancelled my account entirely and got the confirmation goodbye email, so I can't login anymore, but they have continued to take $11.99 from my credit card each month. You can't ring them, you can't just send them an email, the only options are on their site, where they tell you to log in and try to cancel again! What a bunch of criminals, I am going to call the bank tomorrow to find out if their charges can be blocked somehow. I've discovered by searching the internet that this is quite common. I would not recommend to anyone to sign up to Spotify at all, they need to be shut down.

Where is the ad free?
Opted for Spotify premium, as I did not want ads continuously coming on, when trying to sleep while playing music. Premium is supposed to be ad free, guess what I’m still getting ads, disappointed that I wasted my money

Could Be Better
The good thing about spotify are that you can get any music and trust me i love that but the bad thing is the includes they are the worst. Personally i would rather pay for the app music than deal with listening to includes more than the music i actually have put on my playlist. Most of the time i have no idea what i am listening to. Once i got like 10 includes in a row and i’m like come on that unnecessary. Also I absolutely hate how i have a certain amount of skips, i mean whats the point, its just really annoying. If i made spotify my version would be much much better. So in conclusion spotify isn’t really that good of an app. So if you want good reveiws fix these problems and it will be a much better app. I’m just saying.

Can't even get premium
so you go to pay for premium with your mobile plan; however spotify is not capable of doing this and greets you with a lovely 503 error. extremely disappointing that you can't even get premium due to inability for them to provide a mean of getting it other then paying. much rather use a free application with better service.

Frustrating!
Can't listen to favourite albums... Search facility is very limited. Looking for some other way to play & listen to music. Spotify was given to me as a gift - not happy.

Spotify Is Amazing
I have been using Spotify free version for a couple months and find the experience fantastic. Easy to use. Works fine on smart tvs, PCs, tablets. The only issue I have experienced is on my IPhone it only plays in Shuffle. Have have access wide variety of songs and so easy to create your own playlists. Spotify have definitely changed the way I listen to music

No give but all take
Spotify has a broad range of music but much less depth of individual artists. I signed up to Spotify Premium's 3 month trial for $1.99. When I logged in to try to use it, it still kept telling me that I had to sign up. I thought maybe it didn't process properly the first time and signed up again, it still would give me access. After being charged twice and not gaining access I cut my losses on my $3.98 and gave up on it until I noticed they had started charging my card for the full service. I messaged their Facebook account to please CANCEL my...Read more
service and you wouldn't believe it they hit my card again the very next day and won't respond to my messages. If you use Spotify, just use the free service, not worth the hassle. Still trying to cancel my service...Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Great Idea but sever limitations
Right off the bat; Spotify manipulates it's results because of special agreements that;
do not allow users to exclude explicit content and
do not allow users to exclude rude, explicit, sexist, inappropriate artists!
We wrote to Spotify and only after several e-mails, where we disproved all the crap with which they responded initially, did a higher level operations person reply and say that yes, because of agreements they were not allowed to include a facility that would allow users to exclude;
-Explicit (rude, vulgar, inappropriate) w...Read more
hich Spotify appear to be proud of having as they allow you to choose their Explicit Compilation of 100 Tracks, 5 hours, 26 minutes but will not allow the exclusion of said tracks! - Rude and Vulgar artists which appear not to be able to make a music piece with out swearing, or abusive language; can also not be excluded.Similar opinion? Cannot prevent explicit content from playing.
Don’t invest in this streaming service to play where kids are listening. There is no option to eliminate explicit songs from being played. They are forced onto you. I found out the hard way. Top 40 music in the car and the little ones subjected to f and a etc. This service is not family friendly, despite offering a ‘family package’.
Let me choose if I want to hear explicit content. Don’t force it on me. Off to Apple Music or google music.

Absolutely love it
I took the premium subscription after a one month free trial of it. I had bought a Sonos and so I subscribed to Spotify to play on it. I only use Spotify through my pc.
Love:
So many choices of music from Gregorian chants to modern day music.
It has genres to choose from when you just need to choose quick music
Easy to use.
Dislike:
The volume control is very little and a bit fiddly to work but the speaker has a volume button so I can get it to the correct volume through that.

Don't use Spotify / My account got hacked / Took a week to get back on air and they just didn't care
Don't use Spotify.
I did and I'm regretful.
The service was good up until I got hacked.
I kept getting 'kicked off' in July 2017 - Spotify telling me that I was using my subscription 'elsewhere' (than my iphone). What?! Located an unknown device using the account so deleted it, changed passwords, logged out all devices and then logged in again. All good!
Until I contacted Spotify on their chat service to find out how some other device got on my account?? Googling this comes up with heaps of links of people talking about their accounts being used by others, playlists deleted, songs being added in foreign languages etc.
[name removed] was who I chatted with at Spotify Live Chat. ...Read more
I told him what had happened and asked him how this could have occurred...as I suspected my account details had been compromised at SPOTIFYS' END. Without asking me if it was OK, or telling me what he was doing [name removed] i took the liberty to change my password, log all devices out, and delete my payment details. Telling me to get back online I'd have to provide them again to him directly. That just didn't feel safe...I've heard stories about Credit Card details been stolen by contact centre staff. I replied that I didn't want to do that and could someone call me? All of a sudden the chat went dead. What do you think happened? I'm pretty sure [name removed] didn't want to deal with me and disconnected me. Spotify subsequently told me it was a 'technical glitch' and then later when I called them out on their high tech terminology (technical glitch) they said in fact the chat had continued and [name removed] had continued to try to talk to me...but the chat must have disconnected on my end only............. (wow. really?) i got an email as soon as the chat window had shut saying my account had been cancelled. After more than 48 hours of tweeting/FB messaging and emailing spotify I finally got a response. They wanted me to verity that the account was mine and to do this I had to send screenshots of banking and receipts that had come via email. This makes me wonder how hi tech spotify is, seriously Screenshots? Of Bank accounts and receipts? Isn't there a better way to verify me? Why would a fraud hacker contact you anyway to say his account had been hacked? This also makes me think if this is how they run their verification then how seriously and sophisticated is there data management and account security systems....not very if I got hacked (and at this point no other service/bank account/email my PC or phone run has been hacked.... curiously it's JUST the spotify account) Throughout this episode I just feel disrespected. I just felt that the one thing Spotify had for me above solutions or good customer service in helping me resolve this issue was contempt. I'm certain the initial consultant i spoke with hung up on me. Subsequent emails all come from different people. I haven't spoken to the same person at Spotify more than once. It's entirely impersonal, at arms length, they're not engaged or care really - they told me there is no phone service only email. But on email they ignore questions that are asked and don't provide answers continually asking for screen shots. ok so I gave them the screenshots and after 8 days we are ready to start again But seeing what I've seen this week and seeing how hard it is to get through an issue that should be simple and straightforward and resolved in 20-30mins rather than 7 days + ... I don't want to restart with Spotify. I think this is the kick I need to find a better streaming service. There are lots of questions I have that Spotify didn't answer in relation to this issue, lots of things that worry me (like how did I get hacked) why are all these other people talking about their Spotify accounts being compromised online etc... that now make me uncomfortable to use the service. Finally I asked if they would consider providing some goodwill to me for this episode. Consider that Spotify is less than 10 USD per month. They refused. They said they didn't have to give me anything hahah well if that isn't the shiny biter contemptuous cherry on top of it all...after it's taken me a week and I'm sure your consultant ditched me - FINE! Let's call it a day. Don't use Spotify. they suck.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Wasnt what it said it was
I thought this app was great and subscribed to premium. Then a week later i started getting ads. Asked to watch a video to get rid of the ads, not good for limited internet service to say the least or the fact that they say subscribe to premium and no ads!! On a big car drive with no internet service or mobile reception we COULDNT listen to my "downloaded" saved songs. Wasn't what i was told i had paid for. Disappointed in the lie.

Actually can't live without this now
Absolutely loving Spotify right now. Despite the (AU) $10 per month subscription fee, you have access to limitless music from every genre that exists to play on and offline. I travel alot for work so it's excellent to be able to simply plug in and listen, and tune out the airport noise. Also so easy to find music you want, and discover new music you would normally have to trawl for on websites. Awesome app.

Lots of great music
Whenever people come over, I play music from spotify. It's much easier than buying the songs. I don't even need to know what's popular, just find the right playlist and that's it. There's advertising, but that's not much different from regular radio. Because it's integrated with Facebook, I sometimes send links to tracks to my FB friends. Discovering good music and sharing it with people is a lot of fun.
Lots of music. Easy to find good tunes
Have to pay to listen on the mobile

Hi TLiang,
Sorry, I can not speak to Spotify's policies and procedures. I suggest you ask Spotify.
I did look on the Frequently Asked Questions page and could not find an article pertaining to your question. So I suggest you go to this page;

and contact Spotify directly about this.
Good Luck.

If you close you’re Spotify account you will lose all your playlist. Don’t think it should affect your playlist if it’s only a temporary thing.

Signed up for 'free' Spotify and now I've been charged 9.99 Pound. Did I miss something, is this an ongoing cost?

My understanding is you get one month free then it's a cost month by month from a certain day. You can unsubscribe easily enough.
Thanks, I couldn’t find anything in the terms and conditions about it.
