Excellent
Judging from the reviews on here, I was reluctant to get this pram, but I am so glad I did! I really can't understand what people are complaining about. The wheels are easy to control, you just need to lock the two back wheels and leave the front ones unlocked, works excellent then. If all the wheels are unlocked it sways all over the place. If people read the manual provided it is easy to use. For the price it is well worth it. The lie down feature is great for a new baby and the mosquito net is fantastic to keep bugs off your baby. It has ple...
Read morenty of shade and plenty of room for your baby. Highly recommended to anyone! Reversible handle, fully flat lie back, large basket for storage, storm cover, mosquito net and boot cover included. Affordable price for what you get. Solid and safe pram. Nothing, it does everything you need it to.- 11 reviews

Basic
I purchased this before having my first child. I wish I could go back in time and purchase a much better pram, I had no idea of babies back then and just purchased what the salesman recommended. I only used this pram for 6 months and found it extremely difficult to work out how to fold, I am a strong woman and I had huge difficulty getting it to fold. I had to purchase another pram after my second bub was born (i had two under two years) because the Acclaim cant attach a toddler seat. I was so happy when my firstborn could be in a cheap stroller.
The acclaim was terrible in any sort of dirt tracks.
basic, easy to clean, warm in winter
hard to fold, heavy, no toddler seat can attach

Excellent
I thought this was an excellent pram for the price. All the reviews which complained about the wheels going all over the place were due to user error. As the instructions says, depending on which way the handle is positioned, the wheels closest to you need to be locked. If all wheels are unlocked, it is impossible to steer and is not meant to be used this way!
Compared to 3 wheel prams, this pram is narrower, lighter and more stable. I think some people who buy 3 wheel prams think they will go running with baby but in my experience they are on...

Cheap and rickety
I bought this pram while pregnant with my first child and while it seemed like a good idea at the time, I came to regret buying it very quickly. It has some great features, like the reversible handle and the rain and boot cover included but they are over shadowed by the prams numerous faults.
To start with the wheels are unstable when walking on any surface that's uneven, like a foot path, and they buckle almost immediately. You can't go too fast with the pram or the wheels buckle and you definitely can't go backwards or the wheels buckle whi...

Good for a newborn
We were given this pram, so it was a bargain and we decided to use this pram while we were working out what features we liked in a pram and what features we didn't need.
First off, this pram is great in that it is reversible, so we're glad we had this one initially with our newborn as we liked to be able to see her. It also lays flat, so that is also good for a newborn.
It comes with a boot cover, rain cover and mosquito net (although as ours was a hand-me-down we didn't get the mosquito net). I haven't used the boot cover as it was summ...
Read moreer with our newborn and too hot, but the foot rest comes up and essential "encloses" the pram anyway, which is nice. It also has a narrow frame, so it will fit through any aisle and doesn't feel too wide, which is opposite to so many of the newer prams like the Strider or the Bugaboo. Downsides to this pram is that it is quite bulky and heavy, the wheels are too close together (makes it hard to walk if you have long legs) and the wheels themselves are awful and difficult. Each wheel base (which have two wheels on each) have their own brake, which is difficult and makes it annoying to change wheel directions. They also seem really flimsy and if you have the front ones locked and you want to pull the pram backwards towards you they seem to go different directions and almost want to pull off! I'm not sure as to the quality of this pram in regards to the wheels. Decent for a newborn pram though, but we have since bought another pram with features that we like and a pram that is easier to go walking with. Reversible handle, included boot cover, rain cover, big basket, narrower than a lot of other prams Bulky and heavy, wheels are a disaster, not good if you have long legsJust want to say I completely agree with everything you've written about the wheels. :-)

Great value first pram!
Fantastic first pram. The reverse handle feature was a big selling point for me, as I wanted to be able to have the baby facing me to begin with and then outwards later on without having to purchase a whole new pram. Very easy to move around, and can be set up or packed down with one hand!
Reliable, great price, loved the reversible handles, easy to set up and pack away, durable, sturdy, came with sun shade and rain protector which is a great bonus!
Only 2 seating positions, laying down or up right

Terrible
The only place I can actually use this stroller is the supermarket- but only if I'm not in a hurry and only need to get a couple of things. For all the reasons stated above it was a terrible investment. I love the reversible handle but it is the only redeeming feature. The wheels and breaks need a serious rethink.
Reversible handle, large basket underneath
I can't believe anyone actually likes this stroller!!! It's terrible!
The wheels are too close together, one has to walk like a catwalk model to avoid kicking them, they also wobble all over...

Great Multipurpose Pram!!!
I haven't had any problems with this pram, it lasts well as it is now on baby number 3 and has hardly any fading, all bubs have enjoyed using it. Obviously not a good jogging pram as it is not designed for that but we have taken it everywhere without much issue. Great multipurpose pram.
Very fade resistant fabric, fully adjustable footrest, removable arm bar, large basket, reversible handle, large viewing window, 3 recline levels (laying flat, mid level and upright), easy to collapse, mesh breeze cover for hot days, value for money.
It gained a squeak within the first few months but i can live with that.

Good pram
I liked using this pram for my son. I like the reversible handle function, so I could walk with the pram and he would be facing me.
I actually bought this pram secondhand, I don't think I would have bought it from a store for the full price
Reversible handle
Bulky, gets annoying folding into the boot of my car. Wheel function and the brakes and locks on it also annoying

Not the best..
I bought this pram 19 months ago for my son. This pram is not good off road or on any ground that is not level, as the wheels start to skip around and bend like they might break off.My son is only short and has already grown out of the pram by length. The hood is good because its nice and big and same with the viewing window. If you were to use it just in shopping centres, its a great pram then! As long as you have smooth ground! I like that the footrest comes all the way up as you can "enclose" bub in without the boot cover. The removable back is ...
Read moregood too as bub can keep cool on a hot day and the mesh back still protects them from the bubs.Basket is great too as it has access from each side of it, top and front. Good pram for shopping centres Read description!Would not buy if I had my time again
My advice is really test it out before buying this pram. I got this before my first child was born, it was only once I started using it on a regular basis that it started to annoy me.
The main reason why I don't like it is the wheels! I kick them constantly! Because they are the double wheels there is not enough space for your feet to fit between them when striding normally, so you have to adopt a supermodel walk, one foot exactly in front of the other, to fit between them.
Also, the proportions are a bit out, I have to hold the pram way out...

OK
Overall a great stroller for the price. It does feel a little 'cheap' but to a degree you get what you pay for. The reversible handle is the best feature as it allows you to keep an eye on baby and for baby to feel secure with parents in sight. The basket is deep but when the back rest is in full recline it is almost impossible to access making it quite useless. Full recline is not completely flat and the handle has to be in the correct position for folding and putting on the rain cover which can be quite inconvenient. Can be difficult to turn ...
Read morearound easily because 2 wheels need to be locked in position at all times, this also makes reversing difficult. Would have been helplful to have a lock function once folded to make picking up and carrying easier. Still, happy with our purchase for the price. Light and quite compact, deep basket and reversible handle Quite difficult to manouvre and the brakes don't feel very secure. Rain cover difficult to put on and access to the basket is near impossible for the newborn stage.Find out how Steelcraft Acclaim compares to other 4-Wheel Prams & Strollers

Good value for money
After reading reviews of this pram I was very unsure about buying it, but am extremely glad I did. I love the reverse handle, and the lockable wheels (regardless of whether it is front or rear facing) make it super easy to steer. We're very happy with this pram, and given that it's one of the more reasonably priced ones (we paid the RRP of $349, although I know it's available a fair bit cheaper than this online) it does everything it advertised it would - what more can you ask?
Light (9kgs), very easy to collapse (it collapses into one piece, n...
Excellent
I love this pram, it is strong and very smooth to use. it can be reversed to suit the weather/sunlight and it is padded and smooth.
I like the reverse handle, to reassure my son that i am there, and when walking into the sunlight. i like how the storm cover completely covers the pram
Shade mesh is only a half type cover, so if an insect flew under it, it would be very hard to get it out and away from my baby. The wheels were also squeaking after only 2 walks.

Excellent
My baby loves it - falls asleep very quickly when on strolls or around shops. I really like the pram and lets face it, steelcraft is a fantastic brand.
I recently purchased this pram and think its great. Reasonably priced, reasonable quality. Colour is good as far as keeping clean visually. The Reverse handle was a huge selling key point for me to buy - who doesn't like to be able to look at their own baby! The net suncover actually does stretch out to fit around and thats a good feature too but not particularly obvious if you read other reviews.
Haven't found any as yet.
Excellent
I'm so glad that I bought this pram, I chose it because of the Reverse Handle, Side access for the under basket & You could lock in either front or back wheels.
I definitely recommend this pram to anyone looking for the same things in this price bracket.
Prams have a very short warranty, so short that it usually runs out by the time you have your baby, so I would suggest taking it for a test as soon as you get it, as I have read that some people have had problems with their prams.
We've been using Pram for 4months now.

Good
1st time mum, did not do much research on prams but knew i didnt want to spend $$$ on a pram knowing that I would get a second stroller/pram later on. So, my only requirement was for a pram for a newborn to 4-6 months baby. This pram did the trick as it had the net (great to keep wandering hands and insects away); boot cover for cold weather and rain cover for windy/rainy days. It is a proper big pram so the weight was understandable as most big prams are usually heavy (if comparing to others big prams it is considered light!).

Great pram!
This pram has made it through two babies and it still fantastic! It has a great truning cirle and suspenision. Both me and my partner love pushing this pram becue it is so easy.
Great turning circle, Great suspension. Great value for money.
Becomes a bit more difficult to manouvere when child get older, but I'm sure this would happen with any pram.

Its alright, lots of negatives and positives.
As a first time mum I was a total novice when choosing a pram and relied heavily on the sales assistant to guide me to this choice. Its a nice pram, I do not regret buying it however I dont this I would recommend it to a friend -there are too many minor draw backs that another pram might provide? They seem very popular at the moment, ive seen lots of mums around using them. This pram has 4 large wheels which seems to provide alot of stability verses the 3 wheel varieties of pram which can often fall when tilted.
Good looking pram which is over ...

Value for money
For a $300 pram my opinion is that it is good value. We don't have the money to spend on an expensive pram and this has done a great job for us overall. reversible
Inexpensive, attractive, reversible handle is fantastic.
Wheels can lock up if you try to walk fast or run.
Horrible to steer
Bought this stroller at a reasonable price from my baby store but have had nothing but issues with it since. Would definetly not recommend this stroller
Comes with rain protector, boot cover and mozzy protector
Very hard to steer, the wheels buckle when going over bumps and get stuck in one place so you can't continue on until you fix the wheel. Very bulky to put into boot and awkward to lift. Nowhere for parents to put drinks or keys etc. Hard to get into the basket when stroller is reclined for baby. Can not walk backwards with the stroller as you have to lock in the wheels to either go forwards or backwards, makes it very difficult navigating shops or doctors office etc. Would never buy a steelcraft item again due to these issues.

Good
Other than not being able to go backwards, we love this pram. My daughter slept perfectly when she was a new born and as a toddler she's very comfortable in the pram. Great to take shopping. Fits through all shopping aisles. Would highly recommend this pram. Check that you can go backwards when you pull it out of the box and get it replaced if you can't.
We love that we could reverse the handle. It has one of the best baskets I've ever seen on prams. The carriage part is so comfortable for my daughter. Fabric has been very durable. After 16 mon...

Good
This was a great purchase for us, it was cheap and we have not had any problems with the workings of this pram. We have been so happy with this product that we made sure that we purchased another Steelcraft pram as we now need a double.
This has been a great product for our family. The basket is a great size, the reverse handle is excellent, great sized canopy, breaks are easy to put on and take off.
This pram does take up a bit of room when in the boot of our sedan. We found that the clip to hold the pram closed when folded closed does not ...

A good pram for the price
We bought this pram second hand but my husband sheered a wheel off one day when he wasn't closing it correctly, so we bought another of the same pram (also second hand), because we'd been pretty happy with it at the price it was. It can be a little tricky to steer sometimes but it has a good turning circle and I can push it one handed, especially at the shopping centre which is where we typically use it. It is a good size for the shops, not too big. Our son has looked quite comfortable and supported in it, though we might upgrade to a stroller ...
Read morein a few months (he is 9 months old now). We haven't used the boot cover, though we have used the rain cover a couple of times. Reverse handle, easy to fold up in one piece, suitable from birth, baby loves seeing us through the viewing window, good storage underneath, fit in the boot of our small car, reasonably light for a pram Bulkier than a stroller for older kids, a bit bulky, not particularly trendy, questionable quality of the wheel attachment- 6 reviews
OK
i loved this pram while my son was newborn; he had plenty of space and i loved the fact that i could look at him but also have the option as he got older to have him facing the other way. Its sturdy enough for me to go for walks but really difficult if walking on grass or off the path. Its also confusing turning all the wheels around when wanting to face baby the other way.
the reversible handle and it came with the net and rain cover.
my feet kicked the wheels when i walked. its fairly heavy and too hard to use with one hand while holding bub, especially backing out of places
