Sizing is off.

published

I'm a 30/32inch waist and opted for a Medium size, unfortunately they were too small. It's great they send you a free pair if the sizing is wrong, but it'd be a lot cheaper for Step One, and save my time, if they updated the sizing on their website.
So if you're in doubt on the sizing always go bigger. Apparently a 32inch waist is a large.

Disappointing and Lacking Practicality

published

Whilst these underwear are soft, true to size and wash well, that's where my satisfaction ended.

I thought these would be great for wearing under skirts but they constantly ride up so need adjusting. And they are unable to be worn comfortably under fitting pants as they don't sit properly and/or the hem line shows. The gusset is extremely small and sanitary pads do not sit/fit properly in these underwear either so, if you have regular cycles, there's multiple months a year you won't even be able to wear them.

Great for sleeping in or wearing around the house but that's all I've been comfortable to wear them for.

Love these but they ride up

published

I absolutely love these. They are the best thing I’ve found that help me deal with sweating and chafe. The only issue I have is that the legs ride up and the waist band rolls down every time I bend down. I am constantly adjusting them through the day. Would love to see them with a narrower waist band and rubberised legs to stop rolling and riding up!

Replacements Promptly Sent

published

Purchased for my husband in September 2021 and again in December 2021. 5 pairs have been thrown out in Jan 2022 due to holes, another 4 pairs have since developed holes, all in the same spot. Chay was helpful in organising prompt replacements which is appreciated.

cups for the boys not large enough despite trying 3 different sizes.

published

The cups on niether the large, nor extra large nor extra extra large cover my whole package, surely this is a design fault, the stitching rubs my testies instead of running under/around them, Every step i make feels like a saw being rubbed against my nuts..........i usualy wear size large in other underwear and size 34/87 pants. So my testies are iether massive or the cups on your underwear are incorrectly stitched to properly envelop a mans whole package.

Ok, but for form, fit and function there not great value.

published

Trunks are ok, but for the money there are sports brands out there which offer 3 pk of trunks for $45 and honestly just as comfortable and breathable.
May not be as bright and colourful.
But it's all about, form, fit and function.

Not what colour they may be underneath.

Love the trunks, however ride-up is am issue

published

I like everything about these, especially the bamboo fabric, and i have several pairs. However they do ride up and bunch up at the top of the thigh. I've yet to find a brand that doesn't. It would be good if they came in briefs to eliminate the problem.

Disappointed

published

I bought some of these actually bought four pair, wish I hadn’t. I have worn 2 of the 4 and they ride up my thighs and settle in my groin, very uncomfortable. So disappointing. I thought they would be awesome but they’re not.

Great fabric & design, not-so-great longevity

published

I bought my husband about 5 pairs of long boxer briefs. They are amazing to start with, he loves how soft & comfy they are and that they don't ride up his legs, however, I'm a little disappointed at how long they have lasted. Within 2-3 months I was noticing hanging threads, seams unraveling and elastic hanging out. I bought the latest pairs at xmas time, and by June almost every pair is falling apart. I would continue to buy these if they lasted because he absolutely loves them, but I just can't justify the price if he won't even get a year out of them.

Step One Bamboo Underwear

Details

Step One sets out to makes men’s bamboo underwear with simple aims in mind: to be really comfy, to remove the ‘permanent front wedgie,’ and to fit well, all for a fair price.

With an impressive 4.7 star rating from almost 4,000 reviews, this bamboo underwear succeeds. Many happy men reported that their new underwear was exceptionally comfortable, that it fit them well, and that there was no riding up or chafing.

According to Step One, thanks goes to the bamboo fabric, which breathes well and wicks away moisture away to ‘keep you dry and comfortable all day.’ Step One credits the underwear's good fit to a 3D contoured pouch with elastic stitching, which supports the crotch area and stretches to fit.

Step One is an ethical company with BSCI certification, and they use organically grown and FSC certified bamboo.
