Worse than useless
Difficult to use with the remote control and extremely slow to respond to all commands. Difficult to connect and stay connected to wifi due to bad internal antenna design. Video streams constantly buffered and froze even on a 50Mbps LAN connection. Many of the apps were non-functional and/or duplicated. Just a bad experience all round. Contacted Strong about firmware improvements and got a smug CBF reply asking what did I expect from an early unit and should get something better. Literally ended up smashing it with my fist in frustration. No more Strong for me.

You might as kiss it good by some how if you get infected with a fbi ramson malware, you can not do anything to fix it except send it back to the supplier and pay another $35 to $45 to get it fixed and pay for postage and handling, instead of the supplier having a patch for the problem they suck more money out of you, almost its not worth the money you paid for, might as well throw it in the bin, thats my review of this product .. Thanks for nothing strong, bad as microsoft themselves ...

Poor quality
Unfortunately this unit is of very poor quality. I have liaised with Strong about the unit i've had for only a little over a month and it wouldn't play all my videos on an external HDD. The i started having issues with the player playing music when i press play on my remote control to resume/start a movie. The unit was replaced with a brand new one according to Strong and the 2nd unit, I only had it for less than 4 days and it also broke. Half way playing a movie, it stalled. The remote control wouldn't respond and the only way to disconnect...Read more

Get what you pay for
The SRT AN4 is an awesome invention which would be perfect if it ran without faults. Hoping they will bring out a newer model with a large built in hard drive to prevent loading issues and failures with an external reset button
If you already are an android fan you will appreciate it but bare in mind it has it flaws but for around $150
what do you expect???
watch nearly any movie via youtube through various sites watch and record, catch up tv and the ability to play games or your fav apps on the big screen

ck within 5 months (freeze up will not restart) needs an external reset button sometimes wireless connection is lost although within meters some applications freeze up set (youtube occasionaly) could be a flash player issue? and only way to fix is to pull the power plug from set and pray that it will turn back on

Works well after initial setup problems
When I first got the AN4 several features didn't work. I couldn't get any of the catch-up tv services to work, and the recording to USB drive function didn't work. I considered taking it back to the store.
A hard reset (as recommended by tech support guy) fixed all but the recording problem, and a firmware update (from Strong website) sorted out the recording problem.
I suggest buying a wireless keyboard with a track-pad (eg: Logitech K400) or a wireless keyboard and mouse as the provided remote makes navigation difficult (but not impossible)...Read more

Disappointed customer
This unit, which I hoped to give people wi fi connectivity and smart Tv capability, has displayed more faults than a tectonic plate. Slow on wi-fi, won't start sometimes, catchup not working, loses sound on digital FTA, got to keep disconnecting device to get HDMI to work. Going to try another unit and if it displays the same faults I will be writing a second review.

My strong android model srtan4 Won’t start up . It keeps resetting . This happened after a loud beep on main page of this device And then it reset and won’t load up. I only see three loading pages switch between each other . A screen saying “ Android “. Then moves to a screen saying. “ Chipset or something. “ then after that screen it shows a white screen saying “ strong, not just by name”.
Then the cycle starts all over again. .
Who else is having this problem?
It worked last night and now it doesn’t .
How do we hard reset on this device . There is no little button tthat I can see . It’s Not even under the sticker . “. I thought all devices should have a reset button . Factory reset ability’s when like this happens .

My Android SRTANA4 For TV
Can’t even make it to main page anymore . It just shows a screen saying “android”
. And then after a few seconds, it does changes to that chip set page
, and then switchs to another page saying, “Strong not just by name “
And then switchs automatically through all my inputs of hdmi 1 and hdmi2 and hdmi3 and my vga I puts on my tv and then finds my input I’m ususing for the device . And then it starts again.
Showing android load screen . Then switchs to another page again . Saying. Strong not just by name ..
It keeps retreating and resetting and not getting to main page .
And if it needs a update. I can’t even do tthat because I can’t even get to main page after loading/ turning on my device . Last night . M It was working fine . Then I noticed it slowing down and YouTube wouldn’t even work . And then I clicked settings to try look for update section . But couldn’t find it . And then I got my phone found a page to explain how to update software on the strong website . And tthen I said stuff this . I’ll do it another time . So then I waited a few hours and turned on the strong device again to see if YouTube will work now .so I went to check . And now I can’t even get past the loading screens like I explained above .
Iv left messages on there help line and tech support and nobody is getting back to me. .
