Excellent quality and service
We have built our first home with Stroud Port Macquarie. When we originally looked at builders, Stroud was on the more expensive side compared with some other local project home companies like Adenbrook and Coral Homes. We spent a long time doing research, and in the end Stroud came out on top for value and quality for money, and included a lot of the things that we would be paying to upgrade with other builders.

f effort and care into helping us build our dream home, and we are so pleased to have worked with them all. The build was well managed throughout the process and we are very satisfied with the quality of the products and workmanship. All the finishings are as described and are of good quality. The building process was not without issue, however, these were handled in a timely and professional manner by the Stroud team. We have identified some minor defects before Christmas which Stroud were prompt to investigate. In regards to cost, we made some minor additions and upgrades to the home throughout the process, however, this did not add greatly to the projected cost as we had made some allowances for upgrades at the beginning of the process. Throughout the process we had been able to ask lots of questions and been given information that helped us make informed decisions about our build. Thank you Joel, Alla and Allison for all your hard work and commitment to our project, we are extremely happy with our new home and it is more beautiful than we imagined. We are so pleased to have chosen Stroud to build with, your communication and organisation throughout took a lot of the stress out of the process for us, no doubt this may have caused you all to shoulder some of the stress, so thank you. As happy as we are in our new home, if we ever did build again, we would 100% choose to build with Stroud Port Macquarie. In the mean time we would definitely recommend this local company to anyone thinking of building: the price might be higher than other project homes but if you're looking for a great build quality, excellent service and upgrade quality inclusions, this is the place. If you're interested in building, have a look at their display home, that's exactly the quality you'll be getting.

We Sam and Maddy living in Portmacquarie-2444 would like to share our Experience with Stroud homes. Stroud homes build our property in Thrumster last year 2018. Everything went smoothly in each and every aspect starting from signing the contract till handovering the building. orporate builder because of promotional deal they offered.We paid an initial deposit of $1500 to get plans and specifications.The other builder hides the construction costs in each and every aspect and mentioned some of the items were free in the promotional deal. After paying deposit of $1500 that builder keeps on adding costs even for those promotional items which they mentioned absolutely free. When we approached Joel director of the Stroud homes he gave the quote black and white without any hidden costs. Besides building construction he also took care of Landscaping, Turfing, Blinds, fencing, ducted air conditioning, Driveway. Both of us working full time and asked Mr. Joel to take care of everything. Mr. Joel gave us just one quote for each and every item what we needed and most of the builders won’t do all these jobs besides building construction. We have to find different trade persons for the above mentioned jobs. Finding qualified trade persons take lot of time and bit hectic to get invoice for each and every job and we have to exercise lot to follow up. He gave each and every thing as promised in the contract and finished the building beyond our expectation. The Voxer communication what they offer is really good and gave us up to date information about the various stages of construction with photos. I never ever regretted for losing $1500 with another builder as the quote i got from Stroud homes is far better than what i got from other builder. We saved couple of thousands by proceeding with Stroud homes. We had made the right decision by proceeding with Stroud homes,Port macquarie. Both Alla and Joel directors of Stroud homes are very friendly and helped us in each and every aspect. The property was occupied by the tenants from known reference on the next day once we got the keys from Stroud homes. The tenants were so happy with the home and extended their lease by one more year because of the attractive features and quality inclusions given by our Builder. I leased the property to Tenants without a property manager and tried to manage on my own as i got our tenants from a well known reference. We had got few issues about the maintenance and cleanliness of the property. Mr.Joel advised me to find property manager instead of managing on my own. Once i find the property manager i came to know that my property was maintained by the tenants very well and all issues were sorted. I never forget Joel for the advice he offered me. Both Alla and Joel were very kind to us and did a good gesture for fixing the dent in our investment property caused by tenants. They also fixed the dent in our own home free of cost even though my own home was constructed by another builder ages ago. Alla director of Stroud homes is an amazing personality and always respond to customer concerns promptly and quickly. Her attitude towards their customers is always positive and gave me all the information whatever i requested. She always responded to all my queries in a timely manner and very few builders would do like that. She responded promptly to my request and arranged annual inspection of my property to fix the things that comes under builder warranty and maintenance.

Stroud Homes Port Macquarie first home
We made initial contact with Joel after a major problem arose with another builder. Joel was able to help and the issue we had was not a problem for him. He was not only able to build our custom design at a better price but included more. Through the build process Joel and his team always went the extra step to make sure we achieved an even better outcome than we expected. Following completion of our home Stroud's customer service has been great.
If the opportunity arose to build another home, would we use Joel and his team at Stroud Homes Port Macquarie? absolutely.

he first clients that they built for, and you were fantastic. You did have some specific requirements with the engineered flooring product and the solid stone vanity basins which required some clever flooring and plumbing work. At initial contact, Joel, Alla and Port Macquarie Stroud Team presented a professional attitude with a friendly and supportive manner. We felt confident our build would proceed without complications.
Workmanship was of the highest quality.
Range of inclusions were beyond our expectations, other builders would class as “extra costs”.
We have just been contacted by Stroud Homes for our 12 month maintenance review and are delighted to report that we have no issues to report.

Our perfect bush retreat !
We came to Stroud after a pretty horrible and costly experience trying to get a custom build off the ground. Immediately we felt at ease with Joel and the team and they really did everything possible to ensure our build with them was going to be a positive experience.
Our build was managed with complete professionalism from the entire team from Stroud Port Macquarie. Every tradesman and woman that was part of our build were fantastic and such a dream to work with.

much trouble for either the tradesmen involved or the team in the office. All identified issues were very quickly resolved and fixed properly. At no time were we concerned that something would be left unfinished. We too made some small changes along the way and not once were we made to feel like we were being a nuisance or being difficult. We were very mindful of the cost of building our home as we did the whole build for cash. The price at the time of signing is exactly what it cost us (apart from some variations we asked for). The process of making progress payments was smooth and there were never any hidden extra's. The invoices were always sent to us when we expecting them (so no surprises with early requests for payments) and receipts were always sent immediately. The entire contractual and financial side of our dealings was extremely easy which reduced any unnecessary stress. We cannot express enough our gratitude and thanks to Joel, Alla, Allison and Sara. stunning Montego 393 Skillion Façade. You had a clear vision for the home which included a lot of unique features. Some of these features involved some challenging construction methods and time setbacks, however you all worked together to keep everything on track and achieve the desired results. You were very understanding and respectful of the construction and variations process. To share with anyone reading this review, some of the beautiful features you included were: - Custom Orb cladding to the entire façade, with the exception of stone columns.Many thanks for the feedback. Money Grabbing
Finally in our supposedly dream home - with no kitchen splash back, walk in robe that no one can reach and has to be rectified, broken tiles, lousy painting. Project management was nil to hopeless and now when you try and contact them they hang up on you. Worse day of our lives when we walked into their office. They maybe ok building Stroud plans but useless for a custom build - houses started 3 months after ours and they are already in occupation. This is the second review I have written and all head office could say was the build was on time.

Although there was a minor mishap with your Master Bedroom not being able to accommodate your king size bed head, I am glad to hear that the problem was able to be resolved by yourselves and the team with minimal impact.
