Would love the product if it didn't keep failing.
Truly, this is the 5th electric blanket I have had that has failed within a season. The controller suddenly stops working. Every year it is back to Farmers to get it replaced under warranty. Originally I thought it was my fault because I had washed it, however, the last two didn't get washed and still failed. Love the blanket but won't be purchasing it again or any other Sunbeam product. They know there is an issue, yet still keep producing these products. This says a lot about the company.

Our blanket has developed a very strong aroma of, what I suspect is, glue used in the padding. We air the blanket outside regularly but just cannot get rid of the smell. Otherwise, it works fine.

Only lasted 2 months and the controller failed, tried the other controller and still failed with the fault is one side of the extricate blanket. Also found the edging spits in several places and moves on the mattress.
I would not recommend at all and buy another brand.

Bought first blanket in March this year, one side stopped working within two months. Myer has replaced now with second blanket again after 2-3 months it has failed again. Such a fire risk I will NOT continue to use with just one side heating!! Will pursue a refund, but will opt for cheaper brand as this has been such a waste of time & money. Being the end of winter though I am having trouble sourcing a new one anywhere.
Purchased in at Myer Online Store for $440.

When you pay over $700 it disheartening to have one side control break after a year. I called Sunbeam and 1 replacement control would be almost $200. I declined so only half the blanket worked. Then after 3 years it has stopped heating completely. Was told unable to repair so bought a cheap no name brand at $130.

All through winter. You're supposed to take it off your bed for summer but I forgot to last year
Excellent product, really love it. I was scared of electric blankets previously but after visiting relatives in Tasmania who all have them I realized that my fear is unfounded. The main thing is to keep them from being folded and compressed so you don't damage the wires an cause hotspots. They do say replace every 3 or 5 years but I'm going on 4 years and quite happy. I hope to get another say 4 or 5 years out of it.
Purchased at Myer for $220.

As reading the below comments I would like to add we have had the same problem our 5th Sunbeam Electric Blanket wool fleece which is a nice blanket to sleep on but the problem being each time the controller has stopped working we bought them all at Harvey Norman who has replaced the blankets each time as they have still been under warranty. I think this is us for us we will try another brand now, very disappointing!

I bought this heat blanket for my parents last week and they love it so much. It is very soft and thick. Very easy to operate and warm up fast. The design of mode is quite useful.

The controllers do not last. Google the flashing blue light. If you buy these products you will just forking out for controllers. Not worth the excessive cost. This is not a quality product.

Not sure why this states discontinued as you can still buy them from the Sunbeam site and no mention
Not sure why this states discontinued as you can still buy them from the Sunbeam site and no mention of being discontinued on their site and I just brought this from Myer in May 2016.
I previously had an older Sunbeam quilted electric blanket which lasted about 5 years and just stopped heating on my side so off I went in search of another.
Seems electric blanket aren't as popular as they used to be, there are not as many to choose from.
Got this one from Myer online. It does not have as many timer options as my last one and does not seem...
Read more to heat as much. The fleece smells, hoping that will fade. Timer is 1 or 9 hours, my last one also had a 3 hour option which I predominantly used. Also no boost button on this one like the last model. Have read that a lot of people have had multiple fails with these new ones. Am keeping the receipt handy just in case but last one gave me 5 years which was pretty good so fingers crossed.Find out how Sunbeam Sleep Perfect Wool Fleece compares to other Electric Blankets & Heated Throws
