I live in rural Victoria and this was my first experience buying electrical appliances on line. We needed a new oven, a new cook top and a new range hood so we thought we'd give it a go. fordable - in two parts, as I was informed initially, by two different carriers and really quite painless. One was delivered while were not home, we simply had to ring the carrier to arrange an alternative drop off - no problem whatsoever. I am definitely buying from the Electric Discounter again - am in the process of ordering a dishwasher. Great Price
I bought a Panasonic TV through TED and was very impressed with the price. It arrived fairly quickly from their Brisbane store to Central QLD (6 business days) in perfect working order. The guys were helpful and contactable but as other people have mentioned were hard to pin down as far as a set date/time for delivery. Just a coincidence that I was home at the time.

Excellent service from these people
I used Electric Discounter (ED) to purchase a sund alone cooker.
Website was easy to use. Confimration by email and follow up in person by Michelle next day.
Delivery arrangments (from Brisbane to Sydney by ED was seamlessly organised, and an actual time for delivery not only arranged but spot on time by a very helpful driver.
A couple of fixing nuts and bolts were missing (manufacturers fault - NOT ED), and Shane and Mark at ED went into overview to rectify issue.
Top stuff - Top organisation - Top people!
Cheapest (beat competition by $150 on an $110 purcahse), organised, efficient and kept me informed

Excellent - and just before Christmas too!!
I recently made an online purchase of a Euromaid - 5kg front loader from 'the electric discounter' and had no problems at all in dealing with them. I found all staff to be very helpful, very friendly and I also received free delivery...Wow...

Easy to deal with, I wanted a LG Roboking so called and checked availability and ordered online,I live in Brisbane and picked up same day from the warehouse so didn't have anything to do with their delivery service, but friendly guys and $300 cheaper than Harvey Norman around the corner it was worth it.

Mixed service
I purchased a Fridge Freezer from TED online and although I was nervous at the lack of commitment to a delivery time, went ahead with it and duly received it after minimal effort phoning up and chasing them on a delivery date.

lled to discover that firstly my order was empty and then, that the company concerned had failed to pick up the delivery. I am dubious about the company loosing the delivery because when I first called up the operator could not find my order, despite giving the details I had available including the order number. I think what more than likely happened is that the order from TEDs system was entered wrongly or something similar to that, rather than the factory loosing the order. Overall, they are a nice bunch of people, but their lack of commitment to a delivery date undermines the prices they offer and I would sooner pay a bit more if they can guarentee that I would receive a product by a particular date. I've used them twice, and although I have since had my money back for the failed purchase, I'm now sceptical about returning my business that way again. Such a shame that in this day and age that a little improvement in service could have resulted in not only a commited customer, but also continued business growth. Excellent Customer Service
Purchased a Front Loader washing machine stand from 'The Electric Wholesaler', which is rare to find at the moment. I had a small problem with the online payment that was most likely my computer mucking-around. I sent off an email enquiry regarding this issue and what I was doing wrong and within an hour I had a phone call with a resolution for my problem made within 15 minutes. This was at closing time, so I appreciate their efforts.

Hours later I had another phone call to confirm that everything was ok and they are sending the item out ASAP which it was. I am very impressed with the level of customer service which is surprisingly greater than normal in-store retailers. For their staff to call you instead of emailing was a fresh change of old-school actual commitment to customer satisfaction with reasonable prices. Great, Fast and a lot cheaper than in store and other online shops.
I bought a washing machine from this online store and I have been very pleased with the service. I was contacted straight away about my order and it arrived within a week. This site had the washing machine for $200 cheaper than electrical shops here in Mackay, and that was without delivery! So I basically saved at least $250.
Saved a lot of money through this site!

I bought a Dyson vacuum, the cheapest online. I received a call the day i placed the order and the guy told me he'll get it delivered to my home free of charge as i requested to pick it up. He told me up front that it would take a week. One week later, it was at my house. No complaints here. will buy again if i need something else.

Terrible Experience - Never Again
I finally received all my goods nearly 7 weeks after I placed the original order. Plenty of excuses to why there were delays. "It’s currently not in stock at the warehouse, Panasonic are waiting on the next shipment from overseas", "It's been at the warehouse all along, we didn't realise it had come in." Not Good Enough
We have attempted to purchase goods through the Electrical Discounter and have found their service to be completely lacking in responsiveness & timliness. As I write this, I am expected by their delivery service to wait between 12pm and 7pm for my fridge! Stock availablity is an issue (where it doesn't seem to be on other sites) and seems to take 2-3 weeks longer to deliver (pity we didn't check other sites first). On the whole, while the prices are competitive the service is painful & worth paying the extra for.

Excellent!
We've bought a few big ticket items from The Electrical Discounter now. Every time has been good experience. Customer Service from the Darra Warehouse is great, the goods arrived from the manufacturer when expected and in good condition. I don't know why you would pay hundreds of dollars more in one of the other big stores (i.e. Harvey Norman) and be treated like dirt while you do.

Good service, great product, free delivery!
Purchased a washing machine from these guys last week, and within a few hours of placing the order was called to arrange delivery. Someone called me when they said they would, machine was delivered on time, no trouble at all.
Only dropped them a star as the machine has a dint in the side - totally cosmetic though so I'm not too concerned!
Would very happily purchase from them again.

Had excellent dealing with this company. Very prompt and efficient service. I have not previously purchased such a large item online (bought a TV & Home Theatre system) and was a little concerned about having to pay such a large amount of money upfront. My concerns were not warranted, the products were delivered within about 9 days and was very satisfied with the company overall. Shannon was a pleasure to deal with.

to take the dryer back to the warehouse in Melbourne before I could get a refund (no more of this model were available). Businesses that I have dealt with previously have always picked up any faulty goods and either replaced them or give a full refund. Service...what is that?
I have recently had a run in with this company and i must say no wonder the retail industry isnt going to well when you a treated and spoken to in the way this company chooses to.
Firstly they demand payment, however can not guarantee they will be able to get the item you want, and then fob you off to the so called manager that tries to justify why they can do this?
Be very very careful!

to address any problems that may occur. If this complaint is from the Customer we think it is, then the product ordered has now been fully paid and fully delivered through us. The item in question was available from the Manufacturer in the customer’s area, BUT in limited quantity. To get the goods delivered in the time frame required, meant a direct delivery from the Manufacturer to the Customer and not via our Warehouse. Therefore payment had to be received first before the order could be placed on the Supplier to direct deliver. “Demand” is a fairly strong and incorrect word for us asking for payment first due to the delivery arrangements required. The other problem is that there is many Retailers in Australia ordering from the Manufacturers and it has been known to happen that by the time the money has been paid and the order placed that the stock has been taken by other Customers. We believe in being completely up front with our Customers before the purchase, hence the cannot guarantee the stock immediately if we missed out on the current stock that was available. This is information that will always be advised by us before any payment is taken, so that our customers are aware of the situation and the potential issues that may arise and how we would intend to deal with these, allowing our customers to make an informed choice before proceeding.In responce to your comment. Excellent service, cheapest price and prompt delivery.
Ordered washing machine on line on a Saturday, they called back within 2 hours to check details. They then contacted me again on Monday to confirm washing machine was in stock and order had been processed. Delivered into my laundry on Wednesday.
Couldn't be happier! Would happily recommend to friends and family.

The sale in question was a Samsung washing machine and one that whilst we did not have the stock on hand in our own Melbourne warehouse, Samsung did have it in their warehouse. Samsung offers delivery directly to the Customer once we have placed our order with them, and this should allow for a quicker delivery service for our Customers rather than waiting for it to come into our own warehouse. The system with our Manufacturer’s who direct deliver, is that they contact the Customer themselves to arrange a suitable delivery date and time, and the circumstances were such that deliver should have been expected to happen on Tuesday 23/10/2012. We placed your order electronically, which means that Samsung received this order directly into their system within 30 minutes of our sending the order. This order was sent on Friday 19th October. With electronic orders we should receive an order response within an hour of placing the order and this happens with most of our B2B trading partners, Samsung is our biggest exception to that rule, as they shunt some orders into a side file for manual consideration every now and then. Your Sales Person Scott, true to his word to you, followed up with Samsung at Midday on Monday 22nd as we had not received a response to your order. We were told that the order had been shunted sideways for Manual inspection. Scott and our own purchasing office followed up with them on countless occasions over the next couple of days with the same answer from the frustrated Samsung staff every time, that the order had to be approved by some unnamed manager. After you understandably cancelled your order on Wednesday, I wrote a cancellation email to Samsung myself telling them at the same time what I felt about their Company’s incompetence. A funny but sad fact is that within 30 minutes of my sending that email we received an accepted order response for your washing machine, which means that it would have been delivered on Thursday 25/10/2012. Admittedly not the ideal result. Samsung does make good products and these products are in demand in the market place so we have no option but to include this Brand in our range of products offered, however it never ceases to amaze me how such a large multi-national Company can have such an unreliable ethic towards Customer service. On investigating your complaint from our own point of view we feel that the one thing that Scott did wrong was that he did not update you as to the situation. As Scott is relatively a new member to our team we have now instructed him that whenever something like this happens it is his responsibility to keep the Customer informed. Once again we apologize for this bad service and assure you that we will follow through with the head of our buying group to endeavour to get this situation corrected. Regards Kevin Clarkson
