Excellent Kitchen renovation
We used the Good Guys Kitchens to renovate our kitchen and we had an overall fantastic experience. The customer service at the store was amazing as they helped us choose our appliances and allowed us to pay them off which I found great. We also used the labourers that the good guys recommended and we were very impressed with them, very friendly and great communication. They did a great job installing our kitchen. I felt that the Good Guys Kitchens kept us up to date and informed of all processes. I would definately recommend the Good Guys Kitchens to everyone I know. We love our new kitchen!!!
Nice Kitchen Upgrade
We used Good Guys Kitchens for our cabinet upgrades and are very happy with the result. For the new benchtop and splashback we used a separate company. We kept the same cabinet footprint as the old kitchen but the designer was helpful in suggesting some improvements. The installer also was helpful when he came for the check measure, explaining adjustments needed and how the cabinets would be put together. Cabinet delivery was on time and all components were complete and correct. The installer arrived as promised to dismantle the old kitche

Only complaint would be some coordination problems with the electrician and plumber to return to finish off the project. There were a few days when we were a bit in the dark about when they would return. However in the end this was only a minor issue and we are very happy with the finished kitchen

After a recommendation from a relation we decided to go with the Good Guys for our new kitchen, From the design stage to the installation it was a great success. The kitchen has added much value to our home and we love it very much. Thank you Good Guys.
Very happy with the result
A reasonably lengthy, but worthwhile process. Overall experience with Good Guys was very good. Everything was done through the Good Guys - from original quote to design to purchasing new kitchen equipment to installation.
The online portal was easy to use and correspond with the Good Guys team.
The installer of the new kitchen was excellent.

Kitchen Reno Success
I was a little mislead by some reviews but decided to give the Good Guys ago and I have to say I was not disappointed the designer came and listened to what I wanted and then designed a wonderful layout, next the installer came to do a final measure and after chatting with him we changed a couple of the details that ensured I lost no bench space, great outcome I organised all my trades which was fine.
I am so happy with my new kitchen its exactly what I wanted delivered on time and on budget. I would highly recommend the Good Guys for your kitchen renovation.
thanks Good Guys.
Changed my kitchen from the 1980's to the 2000's
Their service from the designer to the installer was top notch. I would recommend them to anybody. The kitchen will have put so much more value to my home. I'm rapt.
Very practical and well constructed kitchen.
We were very happy with the installation of our kitchen. Got excellent communications and every thing was completed when scheduled. The finish and attention to detail was very good and the trades also very efficient.
Our New Kitchen
Couldn't be happier with my new kitchen. Would highly recommend the Good Guys Kitchens. From the product, to the team of installers and even the minor problems we had, where all dealt with wonderfully. I've always believed that its the Customer Service provided when there is a problem, that makes a company stand out and they were wonderful. We are loving our new kitchen.
Our new Kitchen.
To the Good Guys Team. My wife & I purchased a new kitchen through your Good Guys Kitchens. We have been very happy with our kitchen & your service through the whole process. We were always kept up to date with developments & I cannot speak highly enough of our Kitchen Installer Steve Ihle who was absolutely fantastic. We are very happy with the quality of our kitchen cabinets & our kitchen design which we were involved with right from the start. We Love it.
Sincere thanks, Anthony & Carmel Horrocks.

Reasonable value, but poor project management
We went with The Good Guys Kitchens because we were impressed by the professionalism of the designer. The quality of the cupboards and fittings is fine, although lack of flexibility on cupboard sizes has led to significant lost storage space in the corners. The old kitchen was removed on 20 May last year, and the new kitchen is not quite finished, almost 10 months later. Some three months of this was due to delays in an insurance claim through no fault of The Good Guys, but the primary cause was inadequate project management. The tradies who carried out the work were friendly and highly competent. The Good Guys Fyshwick were helpful in selecting and holding appliances for us.
Fabulous new kitchen from the Good Guys
The designer came onsite and spent over 6 hours ensuring every detail of our kitchen was designed perfectly. From there it was fairly seamless with minimal issues or delays. Our installer was very experienced and extremely helpful with advice for finishing off our kitchen from bulk heads to tiling. I am very happy with my new kitchen and highly recommend the Good Guys Kitchens.
Excellent kitchens professionally delivered
It began with a thought provoking designer who led me through the a process for my perfect kitchen design. I was then handed on the installer, a cabinetmaker who is an experienced craftsman and gentleman. The installation process was completed with the minimum of inconvenience and when completed I couldn't be happier. I highly recommend Good Guys Kitchens.

Just needed a kitchen
Bench incorrectly measured and cut and developed a crack soon after instillation. Two patch up jobs with still a cracked bench.
It's hard not to be disappointed in the good guys after spending over $30,000. I simply want the new bench I paid for.
Do not go ahead with a Good Guys Kitchen
Do not buy a kitchen from the Good Guys unless you like trying to manage and arrange a variety of subcontractors.
Had to do the project management myself after paying to have is done. Three separate contracts, 1 for the kitchen cabinets, 1 for the glass splash back, and a separate one for the tiling.
Had to pay 6 separate invoices. Kitchen cabinets, Kitchen Install, Electrician, Plumber, Tiler, Glass Splashback installer.
The project has taken over 3 months and it is still not complete, trying to get the contractors on site is a nightmar
... Read moree and a huge draw on my time, and to make matters worse one of the kitchen bench tops was cut at the wrong angle and has to be redone (more delay). These kitchens come from the same factory as Freedom Kitchens, l have used Freedom before and would recommend them over the Good Guys.Love my new Good Guys kitchen!
My installer was fantastic. He installed all in one day, and did a brilliant job. He also provided me with advice on follow up with a great builder to replace my bulkheads and with a painter to repaint the kitchen and dining area. The tiler also did a beautiful job, and the electrician and plumber were extremely professional and provided excellent advice on matters that arose during their parts of the job. I'm extremely happy with my new kitchen.
A GREAT DISAPPOINTMENT
So very disappointed with the Good Guys, They don't deserve even one star.
We thought they would project manage the whole thing but we had to deal with all the problems ourselves....and they were never ending.
Right from the start measurements were wrong, wrong kitchen parts were sent to our house,CONTINUOUSLY! trying to deal with anyone to help was impossible as they could NOT understand any problems, they couldn't grasp basic building skills, like measuring things correctly.

In fact in the end we had to get our own carpenter to fix all the faults & finish our kitchen, even though we had to pay The Good Guys kitchen up front, and it wasn't cheap!!.Great customer service, expensive product
I was recommended GGK by a friend who used them and said their price was very competitive.
I paid a deposit on a $12K kitchen. After reading all the reviews I panicked and decided I wanted to cancel. I phone Goodguys the following Monday, 7 days after paying my deposit and cancelled.
Within 2 days the money was refunded to my credit card.
Can't complain about customer service at all! It's been really good even though we didn't go ahead.
Only negative is that their product is overpriced, we were quotes $12,100 for a supply only and

We had a sales person arrive to our house on the 4th of January. We wanted a bar and office installed. By the time the sales person left at 1230pm we we happy with what we ordered. When the installer arrived he said that we could not do a certain feature in the bar so we had to change (Head office comment was "you signed of on the change") The office I kept on questioning the height of the desk, and after a couple of months I was finally advised that they can't make cabinets that low as they only make kitchen cabinets, not office height product
... Read mores. We then cancelled the office yet had to proceed with the Bar or we would have to pay a cancellation fee. The Bar was installed and the high gloss front panel had spot marks on it and I complained and they sent another installer to replace. Prior to him installing it we looked at the panel and we noticed a couple of defects and the installer made a call and was told to still install the panel. I called the Good Guys and they informed me along the lines of "Australian standards dictate that if the defect can't be seen from say 60cm then it is not a defect". I resisted and circled every defect and finally got a manager to come over and look, and his comment was "Its a shame the installer did not have the common sense to not install" and I said that he made a phone call and was advised to install, and again the manager said "he should not have with that defect. So fast forward to November from January sign up and lets just not go into the fact that we asked for cabinets to go from here to there in the bar yet had 5cm fillers either side (but you signed off on the plans)((if your not in the industry can you read the plans)) we had 6 front panels for a bar arrive all with defects. I was offered a $500 customer service offer to keep it as it was, and I agreed as I just wanted the process to end. On the same call I said I wanted to keep the panel that was derived that day and they agreed, so as far as I was concerned I was going to receive $500 and keep the panel. Then the next day I get a email from GGK for me to sign a document that stated I will get $500 and the panel as long as I agree to not tell anyone about my experience and also not tell anyone that I were to receive $500.Cancel your order for no good reason, and no reply to your inquire at all
I would give 0 stars if I can. Not happy about cancelling an order (for a bargain though) for no good reason.
Ordered a bargain only, as advertised by the Good Guys, but then got order cancelled saying it's out of stock.
Checked online, the item is clearly in stock.
The email refer to somewhat T&C saying they have right to cancel the order, but they won't bother to reply my email for asking a copy of T&C.
the Good Guys has been crossed off from my shopping list
If I could rate 0 stars, I would
This was a few years back now, but from reviews here it seems the same things are still happening so thought another review may help someone.
I have never done business with a company who have made so many mistakes and had so little comprehension of what they are doing, as GGK seem to have. What started out as a great project to work on, with clear vision and outcomes has resulted in the absolute worst service experience I have ever had.
Our first contact with GGK was with one of their designers. At the onset, they were great to work wi
... Read moreth and helped us to design our dream kitchen. On the DA plans provided, there was a clear section set aside for the kitchen and they clearly showed the amount of space we had to work with. The design was comprised of three main parts – a galley style kitchen against the wall with a fully integrated fridge and pantry at either end and the sink in the middle and an island bench in the centre of the room, running the 6m length of the kitchen. The third part of the design was a framing feature around the ‘galley’ side that we could highlight with lighting and would clearly define the kitchen area within the larger open plan section of the house. When it was time for a site measure, it became clear that the kitchen they’d designed so oversized that the walkway on one side of the island bench would only have been around 20cm. Obviously, we had to change the design to fit the size of our narrow house. Major disappointment #1.Fantastic new kitchen-love it!!!
Very happy with my new kitchen, all the way from the original quoting to the finished installation. Great communication throughout the whole job process.
Good service, great quality ! Really happy with our new kitchen
Good guys kitchens were professional and detailed. From the first in home consultation which was fantastic with plenty of ideas, to the customer service, to the delivery and installation of our kitchen! Very happy with the product and range of products available.
Horror Stories becoming our reality
This is a work in progress. Our new TGG kitchen is progressing very slowly. Reading these reviews was very helpful. I only wish that I had read them before dealing with this company. In fact, our kitchen manufacturer isn't TGG, it's a kitchen company in Sydney. We have had to deal with corrections to design and installation all the way through our project. We have been fortunate the we have good mates who are tradies who offered to help. They have been involved from the beginning and have gone over the job along the way and given us grea
... Read moret feedback to take back to TGG to help them get it right. They still failed to get it all correct even after being told what and how to do it. We have all our cabinetry installed now and it looks great but it took a lot of time and communication to get it to this point. We are currently in our 'benchtop phase' which is proving another nightmare. As a past employee of TGG I purchased our appliances directly from them at a better price than I could get from the sales guy. After giving TGG all of the brand and model numbers of the goods we purchased from them they still managed to get the cabinetry wrong under the cooktop which now sits about 3mm off the benchtop. The installer is coming next week to correct. Oh, did I mention that our dishwasher doesn't fit into the space provided for it. Yep, it doesn't fit. He is going to correct that also. Our Serrafina benchtops arrived yesterday. They came in the back of the tradies one-tonner and had a nice, thin, flimsy piece of foam around them. After being told by our check measure guy to treat them like a new baby when they arrive and not to touch them until they get back to install them we were surprised. We weren't surprised however when we discovered that the cutouts for sink and cooktop had already been done and that the sink section was cracked (how disappointing after waiting for about 4 weeks longer than told). Another section had a significant chip out of the edge. We were told that I would be covered by the splashback (which it seems that TGG and their tradies do not do - organise yourself). It would be covered but only if I use a 6mm splashback over the sink area (very expensive and not necessary for this area). I then noticed that one cut along the wall varied from about 2.5 to nearly 5.5mm from the wall and was not straight. This was in an area that would be seen constantly by all. Trying to correct by caulking will look terrible. I am now in the process of getting some new benchtops cut from the supplier. Our current situation is that we will have to wait ANOTHER 2 weeks. Ah well, Having a family of 6 living out of a microwave and camp oven for the 3-4weeks that we were told was doable and had a novelty aspect. We are now at about week 7 with the prospect of another couple assuming that things go according to plan (Oh, is that Murphy talking in the background). I would recommend everybody to do lots of homework before buying a kitchen, particularly from TGG Kitchens. They are a whitegoods retailer, not a kitchen manufacturer and this is not their specialty. Get quotes and advice from a local reputable kitchen manufacturer. It will be worth it. Wish me luck. February 28th 2017 Update: Horror Stories becoming our Reality II Okay. An update on our work in progress.Never again!
Terrible service when trying to get a refund for a faulty product- Wouldn't refund the postage even though they sent out a faulty product "They said the money has been spent and so we can't give it back to you"... It doesn't state in their refund policy that you only get a refund on the item only, it says you get a full refund of the tax invoice which includes postage. Never will i purchase off them again.
Loving my new alfresco kitchen
I was looking to install an alfresco kitchen at my home and so did a bit of research into the different kitchen supply companies. The Good Guys showroom assistant was particularly helpful and took the time to walk me through the various options for cupboards and drawers styles as well as appliances. She also arranged for a designer to come out to my home to design and quote on my new kitchen. I was happy with the design and placed an order for the cabinetry but used my own trades.

With my hectic schedule and pre-Xmas delivery, the Good Guys portal provided sanity to what could have been a stressful time. Now installed and christened over Christmas, I love my new alfresco kitchen and the quality of the fittings. I will be contacting the Good Guys again to quote on my main kitchen renovation later this year. PS there was a small mark on one of the drawers. No problem! The installer phoned it in and within a fortnight I received a new drawer and he was back to fit it without a drama. Very happy.Love my new kitchen
I noticed the Good Guys Kitchen display in store at the Sunshine Coast location. The quality and style of the cabinets and colour scheme were exactly what I was looking for in my new kitchen. The in store representative was very helpful and knowledgeable, gave us several samples to take home and scheduled our design appointment. Our design appointment took some time but we felt out consultant was knowledgeable about kitchens and also gave us some insight with regards to overcapititalizing on a kitchen renovation. He came up with a design we we

While I've been told we could have used a private cabinetmaker for a cheaper price I wanted the high gloss cabinets I'd seen in the store and felt the quality of the products were of a good standard. We signed the contract at a price we found acceptable. All communication via the portal was very efficient. Approval of documents, payments, changes to plans etc were handled easily and efficiently. Our installer came to do a check measure, scheduled a day for delivery and install and everything was done in a timely manner. Our install could not be completely finished on the day as we did not have our microwave oven delivered in time. The installer came back at a later time to complete the fit out and we are very happy with the finished product. We sourced our own bench top and splash back and used our own plumber and electrician also. I have no complaints about the products and services provided by Good Guys Kitchens. I cannot comment on the price as I did not do a lot of comparisons but we were comfortable with what we paid. The look and quality of the kitchen is exactly what I wanted. I especially love my spice drawer and large storage drawers in my pantry. The high gloss cabinets also look fantastic. What a scam!!!!
Run!!! High pressure sales scam that conveniently comes in at your price range with about 80% markup for a crap kitchen in their budget range after a scammy 'Let me call my manager' at 9:30pm job.
We asked for a quote on a small kitchen to be updated with cupboards and benchtops.
The women in the store showed us a lovely range and organised someone to come and give us a quote.
We were asked what our price range was at this point - I'm not a fan of being quantified at the first meeting as I will pay for what I want. I gave an estimate of 10

Initial consultation was very helpful, designer has great vision and excellent experience, delivery was on time and installer very clever to go around all challenging situations and delivered on time. all traders done their jobs perfect and they were communicated with each other to finish on time . Follow up from Good Guys head office was great and responded very quick to my inquiries.
Good Guys Kitchen & Trades
Great customer service and prices from start to end with absolute professionalism, especially all the trades who helped us achieve our gorgeous kitchen in a quick timely manner.
excelent service and product
the initial consultation was great and very helpful. It made it a lot easy for us to decide what we wanted. All the follow-up work was done on time and we had our kitchen delivered and installed as we were promised. Great service and product.
Reasonable material - Disgusting service - Never again
Our kitchen was ordered last year thinking we were dealing with a reputable company that would have customer service as a high priority.
The sales lady changed our desired layout to make the layout work. She did not allow enough space for the pantry door to open if the fridge was located centrally in it's recess. With the fridge pushed hard against one side of the recess there is a gap of 3mm when you open the pantry door, so you have to be careful with your fingers or when children are around.
The sales lady knew that the 3 overhead cupboard
A Trouble-Free Experience
I was impressed by the quality of the display kitchens and the attention of the sales consultant in the store. There was no pressure at the time and we were encouraged to have a design consultant visit us at home. This was a good experience where we had some robust discussions and settled on a realistic design that was affordable to meet our requirements. The process from then on was very seamless. The installation went very well and the installer picked up one problem with one of the doors which was shipped in about a week and was replaced in a couple of days after that. The factory made quite a few contacts to ensure things were going well and a final quality check when the job was finished. You are really in charge of your job. We just ordered the cabinets and handled the counter tops, splash back and appliances ourselves only because we had contacts in the industry. I was really impressed with the whole experience given that the pricing was very competitive with other kitchen manufacturers.Discussing They Rob you
I am in the process of getting invoices iteamised very interesting to see the reviews, the rude man that another customer said she experienced I experienced this also I am in the middle of sorting this out with court and its great to have the reviews on this page to back my evidence even more. In the end we were satisfied
We contracted the Good Guys kitchens to replace our kitchen . We had a few hassles with the plumber and the drawers not matching up. These were sorted out eventually.
Make sure you read the contract as the installer is hired independently.
Overall we are satisfied.

Our kitchen was designed just how we wanted. The installation was flawless. The designer was very knowledgeable and helpful when it came to colour options. The staff instore were always helpful when we were choosing tiles and flooring to go with our kitchen. We love our new kitchen. I have already recommended The good guys to people when they have mentioned they were looking at doing their kitchen.
Poor experience with rude kitchen contractor
I was looking to get quotes for a new kitchen or a face lift of my existing kitchen. I contacted a few companies and good guys was one of them.
Will who came from Good Guys i found to be quite offensive and made my whole experience just disappointing. When i told him im considering a face lift for the kitchen or a new kitchen and that my budget was about 8k he laughed in my face and said it couldn't be done. When i informed him that ive recieved quotes within that budget he went on to assume the other companies we spoke with were poor qualit
... Read morey. He also mocked us for buying a house for too much that we couldn't afford to spend a lot more on a kitchen. He even went on to say the view we had from our house wasnt great either. Good guys had a deal on where if you spend over 8.5k on a kitchen then you get 20% off so it sounded like a basic kitchen not including appliances was possible for 8k. If this wasnt the case it should have been clarified or at least mentioned over the phone when booking. My experience with Will actually made me really upset and angry when i should be excited about my new house. Will should have offered alternatives rather than spend the time bagging other cabinetry companies and mocking my spend on the house. He actually did offer me one alternative.. to go to bunnings where i can buy cheap china cabinetry there for my budget- yep his words oh and also saying buying from him is like buying a bmw but buying from the other companies is like buying a hyundai. I wanted him to go and politely tried to tell him numerous times but before he would go he told me he had to measure up or good guys will ask why he didnt give a quote. He then went on to email me a quote days later knowing it was not in my budget. Im sure he didnt mean to be rude and it was just his personality but Good Guys maybe say somewhere that if spending less than 8k for a new kitchen to not bother contacting you, rather than waste peoples time including yours or avoid sending people to make them feel like crap. I have since found a great cabinet maker. He gave us a great quote and even helped us remove the old kitchen and was prompt on installing the new one. We even spent that little bit more to get some new appliances to match the design so it ended well. I just think no one should be made to feel like crap to get a new kitchen, it should be an exciting one.Crap service, stay away as far as you can
Had the initial salesman come to measure up for a quote, scheduled for 6pm, was still here at almost midnight, was thinking do I need to give him breakfast. After working all day then having him arrive to do the measurements, some very off picked up by my husband not him the so called expert. The initiation and co-ordination of The Good Guys Kitchen was handled professionally. The quality of the end product was outstanding. We will recommend The Good Guys service to our friends and family.

The Good Guys Rep was nice but he made a lot of mistakes and quoted us for things that we didn’t want or need. He put into the quote a bulkhead which we were not aware of nor did we feel we needed. ... Read moret sounds better than saying 11 weeks which is how long it took. We were looking to relocate our stove and microwave into an existing pantry cupboard and asked The Good Guys Rep if it was possible. He measured it and said it was. It was only again when the Good guys installer said that it was not possible unless it was all pulled apart inside. This was extra cost which was not allowed for or discussed with us by The Good Guys Rep. The Good Guys Rep also quoted for a cabinet for the range hood but in fact the range hood is a canopy type and doesn’t have a cabinet. Once again this was picked up by the Good guys installer. I was contacted by The Good Guys Rep via a phone call and he said that the cabinet is not going to fit the range hood (This is before I found out it doesn’t have one) and asked me to measure the range hood. I told him it was 600 wide and he sounded confused and said someone has made a mistake I’ll have to get back to you but he never did. The Good Guys Rep asked us if we wanted tiles or a splashback, we said tiles and that was the end of that conversation. On what was supposed to be the last day of the installation the Good guys installer rang me asking me where the tiles were. I said what tiles and he said the wall tiles. Now not being a tiler, builder, since nothing was discussed about me having to get new tiles I assumed the old ones were being reused. So now I’m in Altona at work and I have to run around trying to get tiles. Which I might add I had to choose without my wife with me (Not good) I asked the Good guys installer how much I needed and he said 4sqm would be plenty. He was wrong it wasn’t enough and the tiler had to go out and get more. I got a phone call from the good guys office and a girl asked me what the dimensions of the current appliances were. (Stove and cook top) I said they were 600 wide but the rest I couldn’t tell because they were built in. I said I would have thought that the Good guys installer would have got the measurements. She said Umm wait a sec and put me on hold for about 5 minutes. She came back and said it’s ok all sorted whatever that meant. I got a second call from the Good Guys office this time asking me what the dimensions of my fridge were. I asked why and she said so we know the correct measurements for the cabinet. I said there is no cabinet for the fridge. With that she put me on hold again for about 5 minutes came back and said all good and that was the end of that conversation. When we got an exact date as to the start of the kitchen I specifically asked the Good guys installer how long it would take and he said and I quote 4 days, Thursday, Friday. Monday and Tuesday. I asked him are you sure because I have someone coming to put new flooring in and want to book him in, the Good guys installer said yes he was sure. He would be there for the first 3 days and the other trades on the last day. It took 5 days finishing on the Wednesday night. When I got the final plans for approval I looked and noticed that it had a double sink when it should have had a single one. When I notified Good Guys they amended it but this now put everything back 2 more days. During the installation of the kitchen they must have done any cutting of materials inside the house because the whole house from one end to the other is completely covered in dust and that is not an exaggeration. There was ample room under cover outside for this to be done. I now have to employ someone to come in and clean the house. After they all finished aside from the dust, they left the walls dirty, rubbish lying on the floor as well as outside. This included screws, shelves, plastic, paper. I also got a call from the plumber asking me if I need him there on that day. I said I have no idea shouldn’t you be calling the Good guys installer? He said Oh ok I’ll give him a call. This part I cannot express enough how angry I am at what happened. The Remote control to the roller door was left in the meter box and the back door unlocked so the tradies could get access as we were not going to be home. On the day the Electrician and plasterer were there one or both of them have left for the day and left the door remote in the kitchen and the roller door left open. So there was access to my garage and the house for God knows how long. My wife came home saw the door open with no cars around and thought someone who shouldn’t be may be in the house and she panicked.Extra Information
