Stay Away from Good Guys Kitchens
Some of the Good Guys staff are competent, but most the contract trades people are incompetent & completely unprofessional. I've been trying for over two months to get them to make a couple of important repairs (which broke FIVE months after installation) and they are not responding. My next step: a formal complaint to Fair Trading. STAY AWAY from Good Guys Kitchens even if you have to spend more with another provider.
Planning our kitchen!
Sam helped us with all our finishes today and was a great help! Can’t wait for it all to be installed!!!!

I have recently signed a contract for a new kitchen with Kenross Kitchens. They told me I had to arrange for any new appliances, so I went to the Good Guys at Erina Fair to look at Rangehoods & Sinks. On my arrival the first person to greet me was a lady sitting at a desk who asked could she help me. I gave her my story and she asked why I didn't get a quote from the Good Guys for my new kitchen. I told her that we typed in "Central Coast Kitchens" in google but there was no mention of the Good Guys doing kitchen renovations. I obtained 3 quotes and finally signed a contract last Wednesday. As I am a regular customer of the Good Guys I thought I would bring this information to your attention for investigation.

Worst experience of my entire new house build
The first appointment with the consultant was good, she was very helpful. Ongoing contact from [name removed] at the main office is NSW was always pleasant and helpful, BUT... from the moment the kitchen went to production the nightmare started. The delivery was delayed by 3 days as they were unable to have the full kitchen completed by the date they submitted to us and therefore the truck was unable to deliver, . which then delayed the installers who were not available once the kitchen finally arrived, we paid for 3 days pre paid installation ...
Read moreand they could only give us 1, once the installer [name removed] (who was fantastic) arrived he noticed that incorrect pieces had been supplied so it would need to go back to production, Given it was the 21st December they had closed. We then realised they had made the fridge opening way way to big which looked ridiculous, they sent out a assessor ([name removed]) who agreed that a problem had occurred and suggested that GoodGuys Kitchens (AKA Courtsean PTY LTD) supply a wine rack in the opening to compensate for the error which we accepted (unhappily) They then accused us of removing a load barring wall !!!!! which would be the reason that incorrect measurement occurred for the fridge opending (AS IF - of course this had never happened) [name removed] at the customer service centre was given our file, after weeks of back and forth emails and phone calls they gracefully offered us to have the wine rack at a reduced price of $1200 (screw that). Only when we began legal action did they finally after 3 months of paying the final bill of $30K supply the correct bulk head pieces and the correct colour of the incorrectly supplied panels. We still have a large fridge opening and will look at it with disappointment (until VCAT has a outcome) We have dealt with rude and arrogant staff and have been lied to on many occasions. We are only lucky that we recorded every phone call (with admissions of error) and kept all emails so that the legal action we are now involved in can happen (fingers crossed) As first time owner builders we will forever remember the terrible treatment we have received from THE GOOD GUYS KITCHENS and will ensure that everyone we know is aware of this so they can source out a better supplier.### Do not use them ###Find out how The Good Guys Kitchens compares to other Kitchen Renovators

Perfect!
I highly recommend The Good Guys Kitchens. The staff provided helpful guidance and advice. I experienced only one little hiccup which was rectified as soon as I brought it to a staff member’s attention. I love my new kitchen and wouldn’t hesitate to use The Good Guys Kitchens, again.

Terrific kitchen we are very happy with it
All trades people were on time and did excellent work. We were very happy with the electrical, gas work and tiling. The cabinets were well made and look great in our kitchen. We quite like the granite bench-top.

Do not buy a Good Guys or Freedom Kitchen
I have no idea where to start. As soon as you have signed on the dotted line, it is all down hill from there. I signed up thinking it was a custom kitchen, little did I know it was not. When my kitchen was delivered we found over 12 issues and to date that still have not been rectified over 2 months on. We have two young kids, and a kitchen we can't use. They have acknowledge the stuff up, they have said they will rectify the issues, but for 2 months now they have been telling me 'it will be delivered this week, and still nothing. No one will r...
Read moreeturn my calls, and when I keep ringing demanding answers, they tell me they can not access the information to find out the issues We paid over 17k for a kitchen without bench tops and we have been treated extremely poorly. Save yourself the headache.Disgusting
Discusting experience it cost me 15.000 to correct the kitchen they put in. I had it ripped out and re down.
They said it was going to be to the plan, it ended up being a kit kitchen. Overcharged when asked for invoice of break down was not supplied.
I am in the process of getting accurate affair to a story.

Terrible!! Consumers be warned!!!
After our kitchen was delivered to our house it took them nearly 3 months to fit it correctly. The installer who is sub contracted by them left our microwave on the floor as he said it wasn't in his drawings to put it in the tower unit. Our drawings clearly show it does! The bench top is 4mm out of level and slopes towards the wall. There were lots of defects too many to mention. Upon complaining to the Good Guys they come up with ridiculous answers e.g "get your tenant to sign an agreement that they will mop up the pooling water sitting on the...
Read more bench top" Rather than I'm sorry we will come and fix it. What is wrong as a consumer is that you have to pay up front or you don't get your kitchen!! All consumers need to be aware of this company, so please share this post to put a stop to this joke of a company.- 2 reviews

Terrible experience - Do not recommend
The whole process in dealing with Good Guys Kitchens is far more complex than it should be. Whilst I don't blame Good Guys per say, they use a group called wholesale kitchens as does Freedom kitchens and their processes are very slow with too many people involved so information is quite often lost.
Their process is all about money first. I parted with thousands of dollars before they would even give me CAD designs and when I saw the CAD designs, there were so many errors for what I thought was a relatively simple design. Seems there CAD design...
Kept cancelling design meeting.
My wife and I recently booked a kitchen design meeting with the Good Guys Kotara. On making the booking we found that the kitchen design business was actually another firm called Wholesale Kitchens, who traded from within The Good Guys. We booked online, only to receive a call from the firms area Manager who cancelled as they had a design team meeting at the booking time. We then booked another design meeting for 2pm the same day with the area manager. We confirmed our attendance at this time. On Monday 2nd Oct (Public Holiday) we missed a ca...
Read morell from Wholesale Kitchens. No return number was given and being a public holiday their main office lines rang out. On Tuesday 3rd Oct (Day of Appointment) We rang Wholesale Kitchens to re-confirm our appointment, only to find out that they had cancelled our design appointment again because we'd missed their call the day before. When we complained about the late notice cancellation they replied that they had already allotted our designer to someone else and that we had to rebook at a time that would be suitable to them. Sorry, but not good enough, if they expect us to spend tens of thousands for a new kitchen, then I expect better service. They made it quite clear that inconvenience to us was of no concern to them. They don't give quotes!
As we are renovating our house and the kitchen figures large, need to get some quotes so that I know what sort of budget to work with. Is it going to cost $5,000? $10,000? $20,000? I already had a plan in mind for the layout, just needed it populating. Had seen kitchen cabinets that I really liked.
Now... had an appointment in store (for 3 hours!) Told the lady I was after pricing so I can budget. She flatly told me that they are not a quoting service (why was I there then?!) and specials that applied today may not apply tomorrow.
Exactly how does one work out how much the kitchen is going to cost if you don't quote on it. She offered to quote to a set budget. Wrong. You just lost 2 kitchens!
Worst experience of my life!!!!!
From start to not finished! My husband built our house 15 years ago so now it was time to renovate. We were looking forward to it. We left the kitchen to last and so far we had loved all the trades people and companies that had come to work for us. This is where it ended. From the time the designer arrived and measured, so many things were so badly and incorrectly measured. We wanted everything the same size as we already just new as we were renovating. This shouldnt of been hard at all to re measurean old kitchen. How wrong I was, we found out...
Read more that my benches and cupboards were all measured incorrectly and much shorter than we asked. Having to deal with that and getting them made to the right size took another couple of days on the phone. Then finding out he had been let go after designing my kitchen and was now working in a local carpet/flooring shop??? The installers did an extremely bad job, from cutting a kickboard that was only 1 metre long in half and installing it which now is an eye saw. Fitting things badly and not level. Cutting huge holes around pipes coming into the back cupboard to the sink. Didn't put stops on draws to make them soft closing had to ask them to come back and do that. Filled shadow line over some cupboards after asking them to but not over all the back wall cupboards. No plugs put in drill holes where kickboards were fitted so now I have holes when I open the corner cupboards. I could go on all day. My cupboards/drawers also came with dints scratches chunks out of them which I took photos of and sent them to the office. I was informed that I had to deal with someone new in the complaints department instead of the girl who had dealt with us the whole time. Finally they sent someone out to look at the kitchen. This man was just a guy with a crayon bag. He looks at the colour of your kitchen gets his crayon out and colours in your draws and cupboards??? Nothing was fixed, half of these dents, scratches were on the outside so now a couple of months later you can see them again. I have never heard back from anyone concerning any of these problems. I would never buy anything from this company again nor recommend them to anyone.- Verified
Your Right worse company that I have possibly gone through!!
Ok this is to the CEO of Freedom Kitchen and CEO of GOOD GUYS as they work together .. Started with their expert designer, measured our kitchen area 3 times and still was 275 mls short Don't forget were told by designer that needed a installation plate for wall oven .. charged for it but it doesn't exist ! but am grateful as he did not note it but after they did calculate that there was a price rise for no reason and was rebated for this. Had to change draw sizes & cabinets so that it reached to the end of the wall. Asked for a corner unit righ...
Read moret through with designer kept saying yes have that in plan. Cabinets come 2 square ends, cabinet not functional need to climb in bottom cupboard if I need something on contract showed was still 100 mls short so was going to deliver a 1650 instead of a 1550 but of course a 1550 cabinet arrived.. . We even advised that we would cover the cost of having this changed to a corner unit, they sent a supervisor spent 5 mins said no issue, we told him there was 3 issues the corner, they delivered a wall oven tower that is designed for an oven with a separate grill & microwave but we only have 2 appliances with an oven with built in grill (he left this off the report of course! further training might be required) wonder if they pay him commission for each kitchen he marks as so Freedom Kitchen has no responsibility? Back to the facts. Even the pantry door -ask for a 2 door got 4 bottom ones useless. Rang may times trying to resolve this most of the time no call back had to chase them for answers (lack customer service). They did come back with 3 proposals to fix issue - never came to measure all design did fit our kitchen would have gaps, our stone bench has been cut as they said to change to corner cabinets will not affect sink or cook top .. well with their suggestion the sink will not be in the middle of the window to the side with a gap near the side wall the dishwasher will have to be moved across there will be gaps in the other parts of the cabinets as well. Freedom have now flatly refuse to make correct size corner unit. This is our 3rd week of trying to resolve this issue and now are left with no option but to get a outside subcontractor to make the cabinet. Shame on you Freedom Kitchens .. No cameras like on the the TV show The BLOCK so you can treat your normal customers like this? I would never recommend Freedom Kitchens to anyone if they want a functional fuss free install to their requirements. Zero rating ...DISH WASHER
great service from good guys melton very happy with dishlex dishwasher installed for my use. always wonted one so now I am right
