Thank you Craig..
we love our Little Guy and our daily coffee ritual. Recently we had an issue but after problem solving with Craig all is well, just our inexperience. Big thank you Craig, we are back to beautiful crema and well textured milk. We look forward to many more years of coffee heaven. Jeanette and Lyn

Love the Little Guy
The Little Guy may be small, but this machine is definitely mighty. Brewing coffee on the Little Guy is an absolute joy every single time and it consistently delivers espresso shots and textured milk that’s equal to any coffee I’ve ever had from a commercial machine. It’s also free of any moving parts or electronics, so it’s easy to clean and there’s virtually no servicing required. I’ve been using my machine daily for almost three years now and have never had any servicing issues. Recommend purchasing the induction top for seamless brewing. Lo...Read more
oks great on the kitchen bench and is small enough to store away when required or bring along when traveling. Love the Little Guy. Update: Pairs perfectly with the LIDO E manual coffee grinder for a complete setup.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

A Master Class in Coffee Making
It's functional, great looking and also demands its owner to really engage in the whole coffee making process. A wonderful kit that delivers gorgeous coffee and offers the fantastic experience of being a true connoisseur. Off course we want it too look great all the time on our stove so there's some commitment to keeping the Little Boy looking brand spanking, but again worth it. It's like taking care of a cool little vintage car that delivers a great experience. Indulge coffee maestros!

Expect to pay big on repairs
I’ve had this machine 3 Years - made a lot of coffee on it but it’s not worth the price tag or the repair bills - Since I’ve have this coffee machine the pressure valve has gone 3 times resulting in a $180 fix each time.
Get yourself an Atomic if your opting for a stovetop. The pressure valve on that one is much simpler to fix and can be done without opening the machine up.

Adore my Otto/The Little Guy.
For more than 7 years my Otto has been pumping out delicious coffee. It’s a pleasure to use. Easy and maintains the romance and ritual of having a coffee, unlike those terrible push button pods that end up in landfill. Cleaning is easy too. Results doing a second cycle are variable because of having to cool the unit. But not a big deal for me as that’s rare. To boot the customer support is exceptional. Love this product!!

Artful machine for the art of coffee.
Good and stylish design doesn't often come in such a functional package, nor does it come with flexibility. The Little Guy was a something I bought because it is absolutely stylish and would make coffee. What's more, it lets me expermient like nothing else does. And it does that, with style and flexibilty that you don't get with less than a commnercial machine. I get to have coffee all over the City and East and few places beat a Little Guy brew. It's also become a bit of a morning ritual. The induction top is a must ( I use it for so...Read more
me cooking as well ), as is the Steel Tamper, which I only recently got. What a revelation that was, as it truly gives an advantage. And all of this still well under the price of a reasonable quality automatic machine. The exploration and learing about blends, grinds and doses has brought me a lot of pleasure and this machine will teach you coffee. Ther are lots of videos and reviews to learn from and it was much easier than I thought. Once you hear Craig's story, you will be happy you didn't buy a brand name "kitchen appliance". Support a local guy who has put his heart into giving us a great coffee!Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

The best tasting coffee - bar none!
The coffee from the the little guy is just soooo good, and my partner agrees completely. I've had many a great coffee from cafe's and at home from other machines, but the flavour of coffee from the little guy beats all.
It's not difficult to use, especially with the induction heater, which I'd recommend.
Cleaning is a doddle, so easy to wipe over and such a smart looking item as well.
Equally important is Craig's after sales service. Simply awesome. It don't get any better than this!

Part of the family
Some things in life are actually perfect. Becoming famous for giving guests barista style coffee at home is one thing but waking up to this daily dose of bliss is a joy. It’s fun and easy to use. I never get sick of the process even though I’ve done it hundreds of times now. We take it away in our vintage caravan and we would miss it dreadfully if we went on holiday without it. Never had a bad coffee out of little Otto. I expect it will actually outlast me as it’s built to last. I can’t imagine anyone not being very happy to own this shiny little guy.

Little Guy a Big Hit
Forget bulky alternatives this stove top unit is compact and has great aesthetics but most importantly produces a top quality brew.
I consider it without rival as home brewing device and when coupled with its own specially made induction stove top is easy to use, and also provides scope to tinker with timing tamp and grind. Based on an icon and with engineering from the 21st century this unit will completely satisfy the most discerning home barista.

Fantastic
Brilliant piece of engineering: looks great & will last for ever & makes the best coffee. Took a couple of goes to get the coffee the way I like it - but SO worth it. Downside- doesn't work on all induction tops so you need to buy the mini induction

Absolutely love it!!!
I bought my 'Little Guy' over 6 years ago when it was branded as 'The Otto'. It's still going strong and making a fabulous cup of coffee every time. The build quality is fantastic and great to see some fantastic ingenious Australian know how at work. I take it away on holiday to rental houses at the beach so I know my good coffee will always be available wherever I am. I'd actually be quite lost without it now as it's such a Sunday morning ritual now to fill up the tank, pack the basket with coffee and wait for that fantastic double shot to come through and then froth the milk. It's definitely a keeper.

the 'crema de la crema'
I bought my little guy 2.5 years ago. Still makes fantastic coffee. The induction stove is also perfect with it. I boil my old 1970's kettle on the stove at other times. Looking forward to the little guy kettle ... I have emailed the odd question to the owner over the years with prompt, succinct replies. That's everything I want.
I love the design, not only the aesthetics but the fact that this lovely little piece of Australian engineering is virtually unbreakable. After watching some youtube tutorials and playing around with different beans/...Read more

Brilliant little coffee machine that makes brilliant coffee
Had this little guy for a while now, it's fantastic and makes delicious cappuccinos. Took some practice to perfect as it's not something that does the work for you but I like the ritual of my morning coffee.
Also Craig gave me personal customer service when I had a problem.

Best Machine on the Market.
I was a professional barista for 5 years in Melbourne, so not only do I love coffee but I have high standards of the coffee that I drink. Especially at home.
The little guy meets and exceeds my expectations for a home espresso kit.
Not only does it make cafe quality lattes and flat whites, it does so with a price tag half of that of any equivalent quality home espresso machine.
The taste and crema of the espresso, and the amount of steam from the wand ensures that I can have a top notch coffee every time I heat up the machine. Getting...Read more
your coffee grind and tamp right is obviously important to get the bets coffee out of the little guy. But I have literally never worked on a coffee machine where it wasn't essential to get these elements right. If you don't know how to match the grind and tamp, it's easy to learn. I've taught my wife and friends who have never been behind a coffee machine in their life. Once you get this right, the little guy will be your little friend. Easy to clean, just a wipe of the steam wand after use and a rinse of the handle and basket every week or so. Much easier than a home espresso machine, since it has much less gadgets and bits, and the internals of the little guy are compact and inaccessible so you never need to worry about dismantling it. Could not recommend this more. I've had mine for almost 4 years now & it is going as strong as ever.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Changed my coffee making/buying experience!
The Little Guy is easy to get going with straight away. However, did need some playing around with timings, dosage, tamping etc to get the best coffee. Once you've found that, the coffee is of a really high quality - the taste is so good that I now rarely buy coffees at cafes
It is easy to clean and keep looking pristine. My only problem was in cleaning up into the head itself

Cafe quality coffee on our road trip.
When we decided to go on the road for a couple of years or so in our camper the hardest thing to leave behind was our home coffee machine. Having spent 10 years in North Carlton and learnt to both appreciate and make really good coffee we did our research to see how we could make great coffee on the road. That's when we came across The Little Guy. And we are delighted with our find. It makes top quality shots and steams the milk to velvety perfection. And we've also had superb after sales service from Craig.

Amazing machine. Amazing coffee
I love this machine... it makes amazing coffee and is so beautiful and compact in the kitchen.
Its well made, easy to use, easy to clean. By far the best coffee machine I have owned. It is constantly getting used daily and the consistency of coffee is always the same.

Brilliant and Reliable!
The Little Guy is in a class all of its own. Perfectly engineered. Our machine has averaged 3 delightful cappuccinos a day for the last 7 years. That's over 7,000 coffees with not a problem. It's neat and portable in our motorhome. Every Motorhomer/caravanner can enjoy the best coffee anywhere, anytime. If your fair dinkum about your coffee- you should have one. Great investment at home or on the road..

Little Guy Blues
Had some issues with it since new, machine was replaced, steam wand still leaked. It finally blew and now at around 15 months old it won't work at all. Very stylish little stove top that when working makes a reasonable coffee but the quality and reliability is questionable. I have a 1960's Atomic that has never missed a beat. I'd say the little guy is Great when it works but is a poor imitation when compared to the real thing.

Hey to all TLG owners out there! Anyone know how to pull TLG apart completely? Specifically the group head with the internal silicon pipe attached to it. I think mine has just blown the internal silicon pipes apart - big steam explosion just as I was about to steam some milk and all the pressure dropped out!! I'm in NZ and I dont think there is a repairer here so if I can get it apart I'll replace the pipes myself...........Cheers Carl

Hey guys. I have a milk tip, and a question.
Tip- when texturing milk, only introduce air into the milk while it's cold. Once the milk is warm, introducing air will only ruin the texture. Also the milk jug will squeal for two reasons - not enough air in the milk, or not enough steam pressure.
Question- I struggle to get enough pressure to do a small jug of milk. My extraction is fine, I fill to the bottom edge, have the flame on reasonably high, and wait until the extraction is nearly complete to start on the milk. What am I doing wrong??
1 answer
Does extraction start before the 8 min mark? Is yes, try a finer grind size until extraction starts on the 8 min mark. Or try using the other basket insert with the small number of holes. That will help with getting the right pressure for texturing.
Sebastian B.asked
Hey team. A question, and a comment..
The comment is.. as a barista in a former life I have some milk tips..
-only texture (when the steam tip is near the surface) when the milk is cold. Once it's staring to warm, just spin the milk to the desired temperature. Introducing air into warm milk will split it. Also, the milk jug will squeal if there's not enough air in the milk, or if there is insufficient steam pressure.
Question- I'm struggling to get anough steam pressure to texture a small jug of milk. I'm filling the water right up to the bottom edge and my coffee is extracting fine. I wait until the extraction is nearly done to start texturing.
