Can this be mixed with milk instead of water ?

Jesse R.The Man Shake
Our recommendation is water. However milk is also fine. We recommend full cream milk or unsweetened almond milk rather than low fat milks (they tend to be higher in sugar)

Can I still use my man shake powder past the best before date?
1 answer
Jesse R.The Man Shake
Hi there,
Thanks for your email - great question!
We have checked with our manufacturer regarding the longevity of ingredients after the Use By Date. We do not recommend you use the product if it is past its Use By Date due to it containing dairy.
To ensure you have the most effective, freshest product possible it would be best if you did not use these.
Many thanks,
The Man Shake and Lady Shake Team!

Hi Terry. You can use one sachet from the variety pack to make one shake..... or from the bulk bags (840 gm) you use two scoops to make one shake
2 scoops from your weekly bag and add 400ml of cold water. The sachets are only samples out of the variety pack, each sachet is one complete meal, just add your 400ml of cold water.

Hi, my husband and I want to try a month on the man and lady shake, but I want to know why the lady shake has to supplement 2 meals a day and the man shake only one, can I use the man shake instead of the lady shake. Regards Bev.

pretty sure they both say replace 2 meals a day, if you feel you only need to replace one meal a day then do that. My doctor told me to stop taking it altogether to stop damaging my kidneys. These shakes are designed for athletes or sports people whose bodies use the extra protein to mend their muscle aches and pains.

Hi Bev, both the Man Shake and Lady Shake programs recommend replacing 2 meals per day with The Shakes and it is perfectly safe for either gender to consume either Shake!

Does taking man shake cause constipation ?
Also does man shake flare up Crohns disease?
1 answer
GeorgieThe Man Shake
HI Dorgie
the man shake is just a food source high in protein, fibre and low in sugar. So like anything if you change your diet drastically you may experience symptoms if you currently have a bad gut. However this will settle down after a few days and the man shake contains pre and pro biotics to assist gut functioning. do you currrently suffer a bad gut or Crohns? thanks

I work on a mine site and was wondering is it ok to have fruit during the day or do you stick with the plan. Cheers
2 answers
fruit should be fine i eat either grapes usually the green ones and avaccado just go easy on the amount
GeorgieThe Man Shake
Hi fruit during the day is fine but for energy and low sugar I would stick to a banana, apples, oranges, berries as these are lower in sugar - grapes are quite high in sugar so a small handful is ok but the other fruits will keep you fuller for longer cheers

Hi been on the shakes for 2 weeks now. 2 scoops and 350ml water twice a day. I have one in the morning and another for lunch. Have a piece of fruit in between or the manbar. We have been having smaller meals at night meat, veg. Turkey salad wraps. No junk food. As of now weight has not changed at all, gut still feels the same. The wife is on the ladyshakes as we are doing this together. Her results appear the same as mine. Not sure why nothing is changing. Love to hear feedback . Cheers Dave

Hi Dave
I found that in the beginning I was losing weight around my shoulders and thighs and there was no noticeable change to my waistline for the first 6 weeks, its always the last thing to change. Do you have scales? Keep an eye on your weight and you should start seeing it come down over time. Here is what I do:
Meals: 2 man shakes per day and for dinner a Greek salad only dressed in a modest amount of extra virgin olive oil and some fresh lemon juice and 1 lightly salted small eye fillet of beef. No dessert, no man bar. I do this on weekdays. On Saturdays its 1 man shake in the morning, lunch at the golf course is a hamburger and chips followed by a beer, and dinner is something tasty with 2 more beers. Sunday morning is 2 poached eggs on brown bread, man shake for lunch and weekday salad and eye fillet for dinner. When I drink anything its always black coffee, no milk or sugar or plain water - except the 3 beers I allow myself each week.
Exercise: I got a standing desk at work and I stand for about 3 hours per day or walk around and aim to do about 10,000 steps per day according to my Apple Watch - that burns about 2,500KJ on week days which completely reversed the energy I put on with the man shakes. On Saturdays because golf I end up walking about 10 kilometres or more. I dont consider my exercise to be exercise at all since I do most of my walking at work.
Ive been doing this regimen since July and lost 10kg from 96kg to 86kg so far. My goal is 80kg as apparently thats the right weight for my height. For me this all started because I went for life insurance and my premium was massive due to being overweight and having high cholesterol.
Let me know if I can assist further.

Is it ok to have it with almond milk
3 answers
I have mine with water and that is thick enough for me. They say you can have it with skim milk. The key is to avoid sugar so I would maybe try it with unsweetened almond milk?
GeorgieThe Man Shake
HI Ben yes we dont recommend with skim milk as you are right higher in sugar but unsweetened almond milk is good cheers
GeorgieThe Man Shake
Hi Gerry yes just make sure its unsweetened almond milk thanks and enjoy
