I have been going back and forth to the Toyota service department following up problems with my ute since 1000kms.
currently, my ute does not even have 20,000km, but it has a huge repair history.
All of these repairs have been problems caused by the manufacturer and not by me. I have not towed anything with my ute and I haven't even carried more than 1 passenger at a time and always serviced it on time.
It is currently at the dealership whilst mechanics and technicians try to figure out whats wrong with it this time.
I've had tail s...

After owning a ford ranger for 3 years and buying a Toyota hilux sr5 I can't be more happy. It's 2.8l has great pulling power And very quiet cabin. Ford had more torque but was heavier, slower and guzzled more diesel. Gets 600km + in city traffic. Great ute will keep it for the next 10years

As the previous owner of an SR5 and having had many reliable Toyotas in the family over the years, I decided to lash out and buy a brand new 2016 SR5. From the first day, I noticed an obvious jolt when braking at lower speed like someone is pulling on the handbrake. 3 visits to the dealer and one report to the customer experience centre and its still unresolved after 8 weeks. Was advised that this is a common problem and Toyota are looking for a fix. So why continue to sell the vehicle? Shame Toyota.

Hi everyone just letting everyone know what problem the new 2015 Hilux SR5 Dual Cab has.
When i slow down and stop the ute jolts and most of the time it jolts when you take off. Just had it serviced 10000K and was told it's the tail-shaft Toyota needs to act fast to fix this problem not good.

according to the toyota manual the new hilux has a 80 litre tank.
the low fuel light according to the manual comes on when there is only 12 litres left. well this does not seem to be the case i have ran the fuel tank to what i thought was empty and could only get 65 litres of deisel in the tank. this has happened on several occasions. it is like that the fuel guage thinks it has a 65 litre tank on board. maybe since the previous models are 65 litre tanks im wondering if toyota has put the 65 litre sender in the new tanks????
has anyone else got the same problem?
