Big size family car
Very good car, from the day we got this we haven't had any issues and never felt like of chose the wrong one. Adjustable seats is very comfortable specially when you travel for long distance. Rear seats are not so bad compare with others in the market around same pricing. Only bit of trouble we always have is parking when we go to shopping centre with narrow parking spaces.

Affordable family car
I had Holden commodore before, compared with Klugar. I think Klugar steeling wheel is more easy to maneuver, better visuability, more seats (also the third row is hardly can fitted in anyone), good for long distance drive. I had base model of Klugar which similar price with Holden and less features. Sound effects, temperature control and fuel is a big concern.

Good car
My 2012 7 Seat 2WD model Kluger is very nice. It has a lot of legroom, is very comfortable and the interior is nice. The car is not noisy at all but isn't very fuel efficent (around 12L/100km) but driving on a motorway or highway is pretty good because uses around 8L/100km.

Best car I have owned because it is my first NEW car!
Great family mover that is spacious enough and extremely comfortable!
It does use abit more fuel that I hoped averaging about 12-13L per 100km for city driving, highway driving is great at 9L per 100km.
So far the only issue I had was a flat battery after 13 months which when I took it to Toyota they just told me it needed a charge, it then went flat twice and they only cover 50% after a year so I took it elsewhere to have it changed!

Great car - Very Overpriced! Lost 45k in value in 3 years!
Purchased a 2014 Kluger Grande in late August 2014.
I cant complain about the car too much. I didnt have any major issues (break downs etc) everything worked with the exception of quite a few minor issues that were all fixed under warranty. It's just annoying when you have to keep taking the car back to the dealer to fix things.
Especially when you are paying 78k for "the most reliable car brand"
Issues i had:
Automatic boot struts replaced 3 times - under warranty - Needed replacing again when traded in.
Front radar - replaced once
Blind spot monitoring - Replaced once (tried to charge me $1k to replace - dodgy service dept)
Handles to control the rear seats broke off 3 times

Oh what a feeling
After having 2 Nissan x trails over the past 10 years, I thought time to get something with a bit of power and I wanted a 7 seater. Originally I was holding out for the new Mazda CX-9 but after I found out the pricing I couldn't justify spending $10k more on it. This car is an absolute pleasure to drive it runs so smoothly, and it has balls when you need it. The seats are comfortable and there is plenty of room. Even with all seats up you still have a but if room in the back to put groceries. At first it took a while to get use to the visibili...Read more
ty in the rear, I think that's because the xtrail back window was low, it is a big car and it did take me a while to get use to reverse parking it. The one thing is that beeping sensor when reversing has stopped which is annoying as I did end up relying on this a bit, so have to take it back to Toyota. Also, I wish I did get was front sensors, I unfortunately have done a scrape due to error in judgement ahhh!! Also my little gripe is the cup holders they are so big that when I have my coffee in it and go around the corner it spills. The xtrail had the best cup holders which I do miss, besides that a great all round car. I got the car in white and asked for extra dark tinting it looks awesome. Running costs aren't too bad for a V6 car, we go through one full tank a week. And that's us driving it each day, We purchased from Castle Hill Toyota and were happy with the service, no hard sell, even when it came to the extras.Similar opinion? Always been our dream car! Has lived up to our expectation...
When we purchased the Kluger 2WD we knew that we didn't go wrong with our choice in the first place, to be honest even if its a big machine it is the easiest car that I have driven so far. Driving experience wise, it felt so light, quiet and secured. The interior looks classy and the accessories are pretty straightforward. Petrol wise, its more economical compared to other 7 seaters in the market since its a 2WD and we couldn't feel any much difference since our previous car was a sedan V6 and the fuel cost is more or less the same.

Fantastic car.
Love our car. So comfy, big and roomy and the seven seats are worth their weight in gold. Superb ride and Toyota reliability.
Qualityeather seats and so much variable load space but drives like a luxury sedan.
Excellent in car entertainment and computer and pretty good economy for such a big lump.

In love
The handling on my two wheel drive Kluger is great! I had heard conflicting things about the difference between the 4wd and 2wd but for me the 2wd is great. It's smooth and easy to drive in the city, In carparks and on the highway. The room in the back seat is more then enough, the two rear seats can be quite small (depending on where the back seats are positioned) but that can be expected. The air-con gets through to all the back seats and the seats them selves at comfortable. It fits easily a pram, bassinet attachment and large amount of groc...Read more
eries in the back with alot more room for some other items. And for a large car I find it does well on fuel. I don't see myself driving anything but a Kluger ever again! A great fit for my growing family.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Best 7 seater
The best drive available under $100K. Amazing on long journeys with enough Technology to keep the driver and passengers happy. Great visibility makes town driving and parking very easy. I also use the boot area for work and can fit more tools and equipment in than any other SUV I've owned.

Super car
This car is one of the best cars you can buy super reliable and also has a lot of features one of the main things has heaps of room for all your friends and family levels are low.
Kluger is a well-resolved large SUV. It has very good on-road manners with real off-road capability. If you don’t mind the styling, a Kluger AWD (to the appropriate specification for your budget) should be on your shortlist.

WOW - What a car!
This is just like - wow. I never thought I would have an SUV, but due to my spouses disability we needed one. It has exceeded my expectations of what luxury you can have in a SUV.
It is so quiet and room - it is like a lounge room in the back. But does expand to 7 seats, if needed.

A very nice car, 2WD model can get away from you
A very well equipped vehicle, a pleasure to drive and be driven in.
The 7 seat capacity with air-con controls in the rear for your family will please all, and as normal Toyota always seem to make the coldest air conditioning of all the car manufactures (I think!)
The only issue I have with my base model GX 2WD is the power going into the front 2 drive wheels can make it a bit of a handful if you push it hard, use caution when going to over take a slow moving vehicle and building your speed up quickly.
All up, well priced servicing (10K) Fuel good around 9.9l per 100k for 2wd

Fantastic family car!
I have the base model 2015 Kluger.
Love the spacious interior, legroom and contemporary design.
Mine is not 4WD, and I do notice this slightly on rough terrain, however it does not guzzle petrol like my previous 4WD. It's smooth and quiet on the road.
Love the kids air conditioning control in the middle seats and the rear air conditioning vents at the very back. Love the Bluetooth and Voice Assist.
The back seats smoothly transition to a 7-seater in no time! Love the Console in between the two front seats. Reverse Parking beeper is wonde...Read more

My pride and joy
I love my new kluger, she is like part of the family.I was looking for a car that fits my needs, I looked at a prado great car, drives good, very comfortable and plenty of room, but was a bit out of my price range,so I thought oh well I have to wait a while to save for one and then I glanced over and sore a gorgeous black kluger on the showroom floor and fell in love with it straight away, test drove it and loved it. 11.9 combined, which is comparable to my previous kluger, that was a 2wd,and my new kluger only has 2000kms, so the engine will free up and get better economy. The comfort is great and ride and handling seems better than my previous kluger.Space and seat configuration is good and well thought out well.the build quality seems to be pretty good, comparable to the previous model that was made in japan and the new generation klugers are made in the usa and really cant see a drop in build quality, if anything there seems to be a inprovement in materials in the interior and leather seats are a higher quality .There really isnt thing I dislike about my new kluger, maybe offef thing like blind spot monitoring and radar cruise control standard across the range and have power adjustment passanger seat like my old kluger, but really im clenching at straws here,I love my new kluger and been really happy with my new baby, would recomend one in a heart beat.Similar opinion? Driving is such a pleasure
Picked up a new 2015 Toyota Kluger Grande from Canberra this time last year and I have driven a solid 40,000 kms at around 10.7km average (lower on Freeways). It drives well with the vehicle ahead alert on the cruise control, the car slows and matches the other vehicles speed unless you change lanes with no one in front and the cruise control returns to your previous setting. On long road trips this SUV is pure comfort with airconditioned leather seats, climate control front and rear, blockout screens for the rear passengers and large comfortab...Read more
le lounge seats for everyone. Although a genuine 7 seater the space for space for the rear two passengers are still squeezed in (however more room than previous Kluger models). The Applications, Sat Nav and Multi Media comes with a separate manual and gives a great variety of sound sources as well as a Blu-ray player to keep the kids (u18s) quiet in the back. I recommend getting most of the optional extras including the rubber boot mat which keeps the car neat and tidy. The other recommendation is to get a professional glass polish finish so as to protect the paintwork and making it easy to wash and chamois when it does get dirty. All in all, it suits anyone who likes touring around Australia in comfort and with the additional 12v chargers in the rear seat and boot - helps with powered portable coolers to keep your snacks drinks so fresh and cold. Take it for a test drive and compare it with the others by all means but you will see what I mean when I say it is an easy choice to make - Kluger - hands down.Similar opinion? 2016 Toyota Kluger Grande AWD model.
Car handles quite well, top of the line. Pros and cons.
Great family car, drives very well. Comfortable and roomy. Great inclusions like built in sun shields, tinted rear windows, and all the bells and whistles you could imagine (and some not necessarily needed). It is perfect for what I need a car for and is extremely roomy in the rear cargo (with seats folded down). With seats up there is a bit of room to put a few things at the rear of the seats. Plenty of leg room for kids and adults in front, and middle. We haven't utilised the rear ro...Read more
w yet so unable to comment on space for that one. Able to fit 3 child restraints easily across with out much drama. I have two babies in car seats and planning a 3rd. There will be enough room in the second row seats (middle), however as stated in previous reviews there are no anchor points in the third (rear) row. If there are three seats installed in the middle row, then there will be no access to the rear row, and certainly not for children who still require the use of a car seat (which most are in restraints these days until 8+). DVD player a hit, however I have had to go and buy actual DVD's due to the fact that this system does not use any form of USB or other media except for DVDs which is completely pointless. There is absolutely no rear view vision once the screen has been placed down for the children to watch. Plenty of safety features. There is a radar when cruise control is set. Upon approach of a car in front it senses this and slows down if it needs to (if car is going slower than set cruise speed), however sometimes the braking is applied sharply, and depending on the car behind you, if they have not left enough space (as many do not give proper spacing these days) it can brake hard and I worry a lot about the car behind either getting too close or not paying enough attention and causing an accident.Similar opinion? Hi, I just bought Kluger GX AWD 2018 model. I want to install navigation system in it and want to change the Ac panel and want to install climate control panel in it. Is it possible? If yes then how and where can I do it?
1 answer
Hi, I don't own one but am looking at buying one. I am confused as it says the GX doesn't come with sat nav. However looing at Carsales.com, I have come across 3 2018 model GX's that do. So either there is an option to upgrade the panel or some come with it. Don't know if this helps.
Belinda H.asked

i wanto kno why the kluger 2022 gear box changes gear all the time
1 answer
because it has a 8 speed auto transmission and the gear ratios are very tight. To save fuel on the 3.5L V6, the ECU always looks for the most optimal gear for the load.
