Excellent
This is the perfect car for someone who doesn't want a sedan nor a massive 4wd. It handles well, seems like a safe car to drive, has lots of space, looks great, and is nice yet simple inside. Love love love it! My other half (mechanic) has now told me I'm not aloud anything but Toyota
Everything, bought second hand and couldn't be happier. Drives well, never had any trouble with it, love the room it has yet not a massive car that's hard to park etc. still looks brand new when cleaned. love the sunroof and 6 stacker, the carpet gets a thrashing and still looks new. I can fit all my horse gear in it and the visibility is great.
could have a larger fuel tank, I drive alot of km and hate fueling up

Very good design. Wife loves it. I drive it every opportunity that I get. It drives like a little sports car but that after I get out of my diesel landcruiser. Best new car that we have owned.
RAV4CVSport 5door Auto. Bought this for the wife to run around in. She absolutely loves it. Affordable to run, easy to park, very comfortable for a small to mid sized car. The auto will red line in every gear if you want it to. A smart safe zippy little car that is good for around town and the occasional country trip.
Nothing to add here

A very affordable and well put together car. Not an ounce of trouble from this vehicle. Does huge kilometres with no issues. Routine replacement spare parts are very cheap.
Intelligent interior design, lots of storage space for all the things you carry. Instrument layout is ver clear and easy to read for middle age folk. All knobs and buttons have stayed perfect in appearence and working order. Factory service costs are very cheap. Reliable mechanicals. Sunroof seals very well. Alarms when lights left on and ignition turned off. Sits very well ...Read more

Good
After a Camry Sedan, the 2004 Rav 4 Cruiser (with safety pack) is very comfortable for a small family around town. We couldnt be happier.
Easy to park, good visibility, great response and not at all sluggish.Has been used for city driving and long country drives and no problems yet.
A little cramped on the inside - 3 adults would have trouble fitting in the back seat.Fuel consumption is a little more than we thought, but with the bigger engine is to be expected.A few little whistles and rattles which are annoying.

Hi there..im planning to buy a rav4 2004 cv automatic but some people are saying the car is really good and some are saying these cars have a transmission issue..im confused would someone please guide me if i should buy or no ?
1 answer
Hi Nomi, The 2004 Rav 4 didn't have any more issues with the transmission then any other model. Generally, the auto's are really good. A test drive of the car will soon show you if it has any problems. Maybe take someone with you that has a bit of mechanical ability, when you look at it, so that they can put the transmission through it's paces. If it slips, noisy or even hangs on during a gear change, then you've got problems, otherwise grab it and enjoy the ride!

Is it ok to use the rear fixed points for installing roof racks, or should it always be the front and middle sets? I would like to use the front and rear ones for more stability but no one seems to do this.
