Very nice tea if you can afford it. There's a cheaper alternative at Woolies.

Great tea

published

Love the extra strong tea but the bags often break - that’s a nuisance and a waste, as the tea isn’t cheap! Please address this problem - not the first to complain

great flavour but expensive

published

We love a strong robust flavoured tea and this tea has it
No over powering scented smell and taste
Have been using this brand for two years now
Although it looks expensive it works out better if brought in bulk when on special-sometimes half the usual price
Now using one Twining's with another brand to eke it out when reached $11.00+ a box of 100 bags because it is our favourite brand

No Where Near As Good As Previously

published

I have been buying these for years but have lately noticed they are nowhere near as strong as they used to be. I no longer think the extra cost is worth it and have found the strong tea bags from Aldi are actually preferable. Lift your game Twinings if you wish to remain the tea bag of choice. I love a good cuppa so this is disappointing.

Taste is now weak I use two bags now as I have 100 to use up. Will be searching for a new brand. Dont be fooled, there is nothing English about this tea brand as its made in Poland check the box.

Excellent!

Not only is Twinings tea good, but their customer service is outstanding! I received broken tea bags and contacted them about it, and they promptly sent me a few boxes of tea as compensation!

Disappointing drop in flavour

published

I've always loved the full-bodied flavour of English Breakfast and wouldn't drink anything else. Recently however, I have been extremely disappointed with my purchased boxes. Initially I thought I had put in too much milk, as the tea looked insipid and lacked the usual flavour, I tried it with little or no milk and noticed that the tea was just not getting any stronger, no matter how long I left the bag in. Has the composition of the bags changed so that we are now getting cheap 'tea dust' along with the leaves? I don't mind paying the higher price for good quality, but this latest batch is no better than the cheap teas! What's going on? Is it a plot to make us buy the less economical Strong bags?

Why do the tea bags have so many holes in the bag?

published

Lately when you purchase a large box of these bags, a tea strainer is required to remove the excess tea leaves.
Have not seen this problem with other tea labels.

Love English breakfast more than the others but

published

English breakfast is my favorite but this box of 100 I have at the moment so many bags are breaking, very annoying. I won't stop buying but is anyone else having the same problem? They are more expensive than other tea but taste wins. May the next box I buy be okay.

Love this brand of English Breakfast tea.

published

I think that this is the best tasting brand of English Breakfast tea that I have tasted so far. English Breakfast is my favourite tea and Twinings definitely does it justice. I use it as an occasional treat and use normal tea more regularly, this way it is cheaper and more special when I have it.
I love the taste and freshness of this brand.
It is a bit more expensive than some other brands so you have to decide if the better taste is worth the price.

My favourite tea

published

I really enjoy Twinnings English Breakfast tea. It has a really full flavour that always satisfies. My husband and i drink it without adding milk sugar or any other additives, we share a pot and have found that one teabag is plenty for both of us. Not the cheapest box of teabags but reasonably priced
and well worth what you pay for flavour

Best tea to have at home.
As I mentioned, the individually wrapped ones seem to have a fresher, nicer taste but even the boxed ones are fantastic.
I wasn't going to try this at first because of the price but when you compare them at the supermarket (you can do this now cos most supermarkets have changed their tags and show per bag price) anyway they end up being around the same as Lipton which is way more dull than this gorgeous Tea.
Beautiful taste, reasonable price
The individually wrapped packs of 10 seem to taste better than the box, where all the tea bags are jammed together.

I really like the Twinings range of teas that they have available they have something to suit every set of taste buds. I personally really enjoy the one the English breakfast range as it takes me back to visiting my nana she would always make a lovely cuppa tea!! I like the fact that you can get them in small packs too as my mother in law drinks the Lady Grey Tea by twinings so I find it handy that I can just buy a small pack for when she is down to visit as no one else in the house likes it.
Really nice cup of tea that reminds me of being back home in england.
Nothing really Twinings is a really good brand of tea and i really enjoyed drinking a cup of there tea.
