I have just had a home phone service connected and all the phone does is say that it is SEARCHING and that is happening with both phones.

i rang the new Home number from my mobile phone and it just goes straight to Voicemail.

I had the phones stored in their packaging with their batteries removed and well before my new connection was about to take place I unpacked the Elite 9135 phones, inserted the batteries to charge them up.

My Elite 9135 + 1 has a problem in that when calls are made or received there is no audio in the earpiece if either phone. The microphone on each phone is fine and parties on the other end of the calls can hear my voice clearly.
I have reset the base station, de and re registered each handset, without any success.
Any advice would be welcome.
Thanks

Is it possible to buy a new base looks like mine has died and if not is there a way to get to the phone book cause the handset is stuck in searching. I’ve tried to register the handset (Following you above instructions) but it doesn’t work because the base/answering machine isn’t working I know this because the lights are not on and none of the bottoms work.

Get hold of a replacement power adapter for the base. I doubt the base is the cause.

I was given an extra handset - how do i get it to work on my existing Elite 9135 Series that I have (which came with 3 handsets. it says out of range and when i put in base (of our existing phone set) it says check base power. My other handsets work fine. I have tried 'end and # for 10 seconds and nothing happens except for a beep.

Hello,

Can you add numbers to a speed dial list on this phone? If not are you able to rearrange the phonebook so important numbers are at the top for quick access??
Another question, is there a way to hangup on an incoming phone call who is taking up the line? for instance, if I need to use the phone and a scammer calls am I able to hang up then make my phone call or do I have to wait out the call or answer the known scammer??.
Thanks,
John.

My Uniden ELITE 9135 answering machine will not work on my Optus NBN. It worked just fine on Optus cable network.
If you ring the home number number it hangs up after 8 rings and get an Optus message that no one is at home.
If I set the phone to 6 rings, the answering machine comes on and then the call is disconnected.
I paid a lot of money for this phone and it should work like it always did.

Agree with the above. You need to connect the phone through the modem into the socket for the phone.

Get a telephone lead and put one end into the modem telephone socket (the telephone modem socket has a telephone symbol) and the other end into the telephone wall socket, by doing this you connect all sockets to the modem.

The base has stopped working while I was away on holiday. I have checked connections. I have tried another power point. Dead as a door nail for no reason. Any ideas?

I would say that the reason would be the power adapter connected to the phone. Try and get another or if you have 2 uniden elite phones, swap the power supplies around and see if it works. My guess is that it will. Good luck.
