Great power
I am extremely satisfied with the machine's ability to blend, it seems to take off every time I turn it on.
It does extremely well with both solids and liquids.
We love blending nuts and finishing hot soup in the blender.
The only dislike to this machine is that it is quite loud, however this is a happy compromise as it is so powerful its never on for that long.

Do NOT buy the A3500i
Overheating issue- If you have the blender spinning at low speeds for a length of time, the machine will actually OVERHEAT. Error code E3 20. When contacting vitamix, they are aware of the issue and the solution is
" That error code is the machine overheating. Please make sure you are blending on the top speed if you are using the dial. You want to be on 10 in 5 seconds. If not it can cause the machine to turn off and give that code."

es when at max speed, this one does not. I am often left with a chunk of mango or chunk of pineapple that needs to be "chopped" by lowering the speed. If I leave it at lower speeds for too long, I will be left with the OVERHEATING issue. Moisture trapped between blade assembly and jug- My vitamix ascent jug has moisture trapped between the blade assembly and the container itself. It is clearly visible when looking at the blades from top view while the container is clean. When my previous machine (Pro 300) had this issue, all it took was running the machine on high while empty for 1 minute and the moisture would vibrate out. For this model, that did not work. I have tried to get a replacement jug from vitamix since March 2018. My old Vitamix Pro 300 didn't have any overheating / vortex issues, and while it did have moisture trapped, there was a fix for it. This machine is a real downgrade. Really unhappy with this machine and I have advised everyone i know not to buy one.

Best smoothies ever!
Love this machine! It easily blends, pulverizes, and liquifies any foods without straining. The result is a smooth mixture with no lumps or clumps. Even nuts and ice come out smooth! There is a pulse button, or you can use continuously, increasing the speed as you blend or as needed for different food. It’s effortless to clean—-just rinse with warm water and you are finished! Well worth every cent!
I make a quality, high protein shake everyday and feel that the Vitamix is helping me get and feel healthier everyday.
Bravo Vitamix!

Never knew you could love an appliance so much
I absolutely love my vitamix, it would have to take 2nd place favourite appliance behind the coffee machine but that's only because coffee machine is a life line. I use the vitamix almost everyday, if not multiple times a day. Being a vegetarian has made life so much easier in making even more healthier dinners, and I definitely eating more vegan meals with amazing recipes from pinterest. My $1500 vitamix was a gift because I didn't want to pay $1500 on a blender...but I would buy it all over again now I know how great it is. If anything happ...Read more
ened to my vitamix I would buy another one (this model) again in a heartbeat. Although it has a 10 year warranty so not likely that anything that will happen that I have to buy again. Never had a problem with blending anything. Soups have never tasted so good and they are so easy to make, roast some veggies then blend them up, best soups are cauliflower, broccoli or pumpkin. cashew pasta sauces are amazing, as good as any restaurant. smoothies are amazing and go without saying, no comparison to old blenders. Admittedly I love my vitamix so much I don't let other people use it, sorry but I can't trust anyone else with a $1500 blender. I once had a friend break a cheap $100 blender by leaving a spoon in it when blending so maybe I have a phobia now, plus warranty not covered by stupid mistake like that. I have also bought the smaller accessory cups to blend with, I use them about once a week for sauces, tzatziki, salad dressings, salsa, anything where I am making a small batch for dinner. I haven't progressed to nut butters yet or nice creams.Purchased in June 2021 at David Jones Online Store for $1,270.00.

I thought I loved Nutribullet until I got a Vitamix!
I had had my Nutribullet for some many years and believed I had a great product. When it died, I replaced it with another Nutribullet, however I found that the motor strength just wasn't there despite purchasing the model with the highest powered motor in their current range. This lead me to explore my other options. I ended up with the Vitamix A3500i and have NEVER regretted it. The warranty from Vitamix is second to none, the machine has an incredibly strong motor and I use this machine daily and still love it. This was well worth the extra money I paid for a quality machine.

Thank you Nicky for your amazing review - so glad you are loving the Ascent 3500i. Make sure you also check out the blending cups and bowls as it makes it easy to make a smoothie on the run or blend your own spices and flour.
I already have the blending cups and bowls. I purchased them at the time of purchasing the Ascent 3500i. They are great for whizzing up dips and nut butters. Vitamix is such a great product, I'll be a customer for life!

Love this machine !!!
We purchased our new Vitamix Ascent 3500i last week after reading reviews on here and looking at YouTube reviews we decided to take the plunge and go for the top of the range as it was our first Vitamix and I have to say WOW we are thrilled with it, We have always wanted a Vitamix and have heard so much about them for years and now I know why people who own one say they're not just a blender! It's much more than that! We use it every morning for our green smoothies and its fantastic everything is so smooth even chia and flax seeds disappear, nu...Read more
t butter in mins with nothing other than nuts added amazing, but what really impresses us is the soup function literally piping hot soup in mins and there's no heating element just the speed and friction from the blades. We also purchased the optional 8oz cups to blend small quantities which are brilliant and come with storage lids to go straight in the fridge we even bought another two yesterday. Plus the Ascent machines all have a 10- year warranty. I would totally recommend this Vitamix Ascent series machine to anyone we love it and use it every day and look forward to trying many more recipes, in fact, we have a Thermomix and I think we might just love the Vitamix as much.Purchased in June 2021 for $1,195.00.

They don't make 'em like they used to.
The vitamix a3500i ascent series replaces my vitamix professional 500 series (similar to vitamix 5200). Although the a3500i looks great and is well featured, it did not take long before I came to regret replacing my old blender.
When safety means something else
Ascent series blenders sold outside North America inherit a "Safety feature" that negatively impacts their utility and versatility. Containers are region locked by way of a "Safety" mechanism that prevents the blender from operating if the canister lid is removed. North American models...Read more
do not include this feature, therefore they can not be used in any other region. In order to accommodate the additional "Safety" sensors, the containers have extra plastic protrusions (internally) that do not affect blender performance, but do make them a little harder to clean. Many of the new accessories such as the thin profile container, dry material container, and aerator, are only available in North America and can not be imported due to the region lock. According to vitamix, there is currently no scheduled release date for compatible versions in other regions. Much of the benefit of the ascent series, over older models, is lost because of this. The lock is an inconvenience for those tasks where it might be useful to blend without a lid, or those customers who want to import compatible containers to make the most of their blender. There is no legal requirement for this "Feature" to be implemented in new zealand or australia, so if it were truly in the interests of consumer safety, why is it not implemented in north america, home of vitamix?Purchased in January 2021 at Harvey Norman.

A Perfect Blender
We bought this blender on 28 April on sale from Myers, after our Ninja Professional died within 3 years. We found the blender is lot quieter when compared to other blender, but comes with a hefty price tag, which is justified with its 10 years warranty. The only drawback at this stage is the Dry and other containers haven't been lodged in Australia. Also, It is 3 times more expensive in Australia when compared to U.S. A wonderful machine, which can do lot more than any other blender available in the market.

It comes with a 10 year warranty!!
I've wanted a Vitamix for years and I finally bought the A3500i and it's fantastic. It smashes everything into a perfect smooth, smoothie every time. The self clean is awesome (I've ALWAYS hated cleaning blenders).
The built in Bluetooth technology is great so it knows what type of Cup or Jug and size you've put on and adjusts the motor as needed plus, if it detects you haven't locked the lid 100%, it refuses to run which is awesome as I've forgotten once or twice in the past and ended up with my smoothie on the roof.
The list goes on but fin...Read more
ally, it's from a very well known and trusted company and comes with a 10 year warranty. That alone says a lot about the built quality of the motor and overall machine which does look fantastic and will suit any kitchen design!Purchased in January 2021.

Best blender!
An amazing blender! I have been using it daily and absolutely love it. Makes it very easy to fit cooking into your life - whether that's easy smoothies in the morning or pesto and hummus in time for dinner!
- It blends everything easily - smoothies with lots of frozen fruit/ice, hummus and other dips, pesto, curry pastes, pastry, ice cream and raw desserts/nut butters
- Because it's so powerful, smoothies and rinks are amazingly fluffy and light compared to other blenders
- Love the soup feature where it heats up the soup as it blends.

The BEST blender you'll ever get!
Firstly the overall look is beautiful and sleek! I really love the new touchscreen, it's easier to clean and also function and blend.
- The timer feature is so helpful.
- This blender is much more quiet compared to the other ones.
- The see through lid is convenient as you can see from above how the mixture looks as its blending. Plus the sensor that will stop the blender if lid is removed! The lid also clicks on and off really easy, no fiddling around.
Overall this blender is very powerful, blends all sorts of foods to perfection with ease and it's an amazing kitchen tool.

The most amazing appliance to have in your kitchen!
The sleek design and new touch settings are incredible! I really love the self-clean pre-setting as it makes the clean up process so much easier. By far the most powerful blender that does an amazing job at blending up literally everything (nut butters, smoothies, dips...), definitely a must have in the kitchen! :)

My new best friend in the kitchen!
I'm in love with my new Vitamix Ascent blender, have been a Thermie user for years but never cooked with it so wanted to try a new blender. Love the Ascents preloaded functions, making my morning smoothie has just gotten so much easier and the self-cleaning function is the best! It's a really versatile blender, can make soups, raw ice cream and nut butters as well as perfect textured smoothies. Thanks Vitamix for making my life simpler and healthier.
