Mouth Feels Cleaner - Functionally effective, visually it's a bit of a dog.
Bought to keep dental surgery site clean.
Works well, though pump is a bit loud.
Have sited in cupboard for a number of reasons:
- this thing is not the most attractive
- whilst the base is heavy enough that it doesn't pull off the counter, the water hose is not long enough for me and my counters are quite low
- coils have a lot of spring in them and getting the hose to stretch out is a pain
Suggestions for the designers - make this thing narrower so that it would fit in a reasonable bathroom cabinet. at the moment it is about half to a full centimetre too deep so my cupboard doesn't close properly. Alternatively needs a much longer hose that isn't so tight.

Feel clean
Got this unit from a chemist for ~ $120. After using it for 4 weeks, we are in better position to make comments on its operation.
The unit has a footprint (approx 6" x 5" ie 15cm x 13cm) near power point and the sink to use.
Likes:
- Encourage flossing straight just after meal since it is quite quick to do (provide a clean feel after meals).
- The water reservoir is quite adequate for single use (not sure how the other models without a water reservoir can hold enough water for the job).
Dislike/Cons:
- The power switch is inconven...Read more
iently located (but may be the only possible practical location for it), when the switch is pushed, the push may throw the unit off-balance. To alleviate the problem I turn the unit on/off from the main power point instead (the switch on unit is always ON). - The start-up of power may squirt the water around if not careful. We would set the nozzle near parallel to the wall of the sink at power startup to avoid water squirting 'everywhere' (we use setting 8 out of 10)

Works well, pity about the design
I bought a water flosser ultra after leaving my dentist's surgery and used it assiduously until I went back one month later. He remarked on the improvement in the condition of my gums, and the state of my teeth. So, by my standards it works well in performing its intended task.
But!! Although I find no hardship in coiling the hose up correctly (which, I understand is a big complaint), some of the design elements can hardly be called "design" at all. The water tank naturally has some resistance to being lifted off, but given the shape of the ba...Read more

Great preventive health for oral health
We purchased this as a preventive measure for dental procedures as they come really expensive in Australia. We use this at night after brushing our teeth and we are surprised that it was able to remove debris that got stuck where you toothbrush cannot reach. I have a wisdom tooth that has not totally gone out as there is no more space in my jaw and it was able to clean it. We do not need to floss anymore too. Using it needs a few practice. At first there was water everywhere. We watched videos on how to use and now we are good. There are differ...Read more
ent tips to use for different purposes. We sometimes add a little mouthwash with the water too. We paid $112 @ Chemist Warehouse. Costco sells for $109. The only problem I see is the cover which is a bit flimsy, which it can snap and close but does not lose the main functionality of the product. Overall still a great buy.Similar opinion? Love this machine
This is far better than flossing, also more enjoyable. No more bleeding gums and mouth feels really clean. Can't recommend this highly enough, brilliant.
I paid about $150, a bargain.

great and ergonomic
Just a shame the water lid is litle fiddley and couldn't be bigger as I usually do one or two refills for each clean, cute and easy to hold stick though and seems to do the job, several dentist friends recommended it better than flossing or piksters, not painful and even kinda fun. Has loads of different nosels and attachments, but you can get cheaper one if not sharing with others...

Water pistol power
Pretty underwhelmed with the product! Was expecting more power.. feels like a 5 year old is cleaning my teeth with a toy water gun! Can't see how this would be twice as effective as flossing or even swilling your mouth with water! :/ better luck next time

Excellent product for great oral health
Purchased this product 4 years ago and my husband and I wouldn't be without it now. We find that it cleans between your teeth better than floss and also up under your gums, giving you a much better and cleaner feeling after use. The only problem we have had in the 4 years of use (using it at least twice a day) has been the hand piece. The water control button stopped working after 15 months and then the flexible cord cracked 6 months later. This was available online and easy to replace, now like new. We have recommended this product to ...Read more
relatives and friends and all have loved it and have recommended to their friends. The only problem is that it is a bit bulky to carry when traveling, although we do carry it when we travel in the caravan. We also purchased a travel waterpik but found the water jet is not strong enough. It would be great if the manufacturers could produce a better travel waterpik. I would highly recommend this product and would repurchase it.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

So glad I purchased this
I purchased this product after noticing I had some hard tartar buildup on a couple of my teeth. My electric toothbrush and flossing was not doing anything to remove it.
My partner uses the general attachment and I use the one made for bridges etc. What can I say? I am so happy with the water flosser. In a matter of a week and a half the hard tartar I had on my two teeth has completely gone. My teeth and gums feel so clean and shiny that I only tend to use the flosser every third day when that clean effect wears off (I still brush though...Read more
). The machine is easy to use and I find that I'm ususally finished flossing before the water tank empties. It takes a while to get use to the pressure, especialy whilst aiming the flosser at the back of the teeth. The only downside I can see is that the whole system is built from a light plastic so needs to be handled with care.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

highly dissapointing
when my third Phillips airfloss sonicare died in 5 years ( rechargeable battery seems to die at or around the 2 year warranty point each time ) I thought I'd try the waterpik WP -100 as an alternative, on first attempt I realised I had wasted good money. there was nothing I liked about the product ! I might as well have bought a 2 dollar water pistol to do the job & I would have had more control, or just swish water vigorously in my mouth, the waterpik tank emptied in a minute or so .. which raises the question why on earth th...Read more
e unit is set to continuous running as not the best in design innovation, plus I found the pause / stop button takes too long to take effect, in the meantime water is filling your mouth the pressure is pathetic even on high ( 10), the coil needs too much fiddling to get it to return to its spot .. oh well 120 dollars wasted and a lesson learned, sadly not a product I would ever recommend. I'll go to the mall tomorrow, to replace it with another Phillips, which I know does the job efficiently without mess, I'm reasonably sure that I wont be giving this piece of design failures another go, but rather I'll return to the tried and true, even though it may just last the warranty periodSimilar opinion? Works well - but why a PAUSE button not an ON button???
Does exactly what it says and beats getting dental floss stuck between your teeth. Lots of tips to choose from and spares easily available. Good design overall and reservoir lasts longer than a full clean at average setting but a very big footprint for the average bathroom bench. The hose connecting the head to the bench unit looks a bit flimsy. But, why oh why, did they put a PAUSE button on the head and not a ON button? Ever seen a power tool that is permanently on until you hit a pause button? I forget and wash the mirror regularly. I will a...Read more
dd to this review when its a year old to see how long it lasts with daily use. UPDATE There has been some discussion as to whether the blue button on the hand piece is to pause or pulse. I checked my instructions available at: https://www.waterpik.com/oral-health/pdfs/WP-100-instruction-manual It clearly says PAUSE. To explain - once its switched on at the water tank, it starts spraying immediately UNLESS you press the PAUSE button. UPDATE By mid 2018, and being used about 3 times a week, Its still going. The foot valve seal in the water tank leaks, but that is the only problem.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
Amazing - but after about 12 months it has died on me!
I love the unit, cleans between the teeth amazingly well.
Unfortunately after about 12 months of daily usage, the unit has died on me and wont start back up again.
I have gone and purchased the Philips Airfloss, will see how that goes.

Takes a while to get used to.
I bought this model as I was concerned about the water pressure and it is really is strong. Possibly the cordless would have been satisfactory for me as I only use about 70% of the water pressure. I've started holding the pause button as I move from tooth to tooth to save so much water going in my mouth. Overall I'm happy with the product (even though it takes up a lot of room on the bathroom bench!)
*** 2 Months Later: Since I bought the waterpik I've used it every night and love the clean feel of my teeth. I now only use the pause button when I move from the top row of teeth to the bottom and from one side of mouth to the other.

Great product and exceptional customer service
I love using my Waterpik, I used to hate flossing then my dentist recommended the Waterpik to me and ever since I've had it, I use it regularly. It's so easy and quick and is very effective.
The dentist also recommended putting Tea Tree essential oil into the reservoir which was terrible advice. It badly damaged the reservoir so I contacted their Customer Service and they promptly sent me out a new reservoir at no cost to me. A few months later I then had an issue with the handle breaking away from the hose and after contacting Customer Ser...Read more

Excellent for cleaning kids' dental appliances
The wide range of six heads that come with the unit make keeping kids' braces and plates clean a breeze.
We chose this mains one over the cordless/rechargeable one because of the smaller hand set (easier to children to manipulate), larger capacity reservoir (90 seconds vs. 45 seconds) and not having to remind the kids to put it on charge all the time.
Now just have to get some more sets of heads for the other family members. Got it for a bargain price at Chemist Warehouse too.

Upgrade from the cordless one to this
Bought the cordless one last year and this year decided to buy the cord one.
Waterfloss is now my must step after brush my teeth. Used this unit since Feb and very happy with every single bit.
The only different is I can feel the water pressure is stronger compared to the cordless one.
Went back to my regular dentist appointment early in May this year, my dentist was happy with my routine and told me keep doing what I m doing to have the pocket under control.
Thanks for the waterfloss, I think I have more healthier teeth now.

Very recommended
I admit, I NEVER used to floss. The idea of string floss that constantly cuts my gums really put me off.
I went to my dentist for the first check up since I was 15 years old and she said my 'cavities' are in good form, but I have 5 holes inbetween my teeth! I said Holymoly! No way!
Since then I made a decision to buy the Waterpik waterfloss and never looked back. The unit itself is really sturdy and good quality. I mostly only use the 'standard' attatchment and very rarely use the other ones. Overall highly recommend to anyone looking for a electric flosser.

Everyone should have one of these!
So I've had some serious oral health problems for years now and I recently changed Dentists. My new dentist recommended I get one a Waterpik and showed me some information about the benefits for gum health in particular. I bought one from Shaver Shop and I've got to say the results are amazing. You can feel the difference right away in terms of freshness but what has really impressed me is what it has done for my gums. My Dentist is really impressed too. It's probably saved me thousands of dollars in dental work. I will be a fan for life.

Will never go back to normal floss again
This product is amazing. Simply amazing! Worth the almost $200 we paid easily. If you don't floss you can take 7 years off your life expectancy - true fact. That is how important flossing is. This flosser has many heads but we just use the one. My only gripe and not its fault, is that it is ofter covered in grime due to being near water and the little groves, etc. Mould just creeps in. Easily cleaned though. Best investment for oral health ever.

No regrets!
Love this product. Now I do not need my dental floss and instead I just need this flosser. It gives me a healthier gum! It is quite pricey though.

There is a toothbrush tip
Included and box states that it has ‘convenience of brushing and flossing at the same time.’ Does that mean it will replace my toothbrush as well as flossing?
2 answers
I tried it but personally prefer regular toothbrush and then water flossing. The problem with this attachment is that bristles are in a way of water pressure and then all you really doing is brushing with water.
It definitely WILL NOT replace your toothbrush. You would also be best sticking to your usual flossing routine as the waterpik does nothing.

There is water leaking out of my waterpik water flosser where you insert the brush into the handle. I have pushed it firmly in and water still runs out all over my clothes it want tighten up at all. Thank you!

I haven't had this problem. Are you holding the handle facing down towards your teeth or up? If you hold it upwards, then the water will leak out. Also the end of the tube should be in your mouth before you switch it on and whenever the machine is on. Maybe it's technique or maybe you have just been unlucky and got a faulty one. There are one or two videos on YouTube which may help. Sorry I can't be more help.
Marie, I never had that problem, but you might need a new handle with attached cable. You can buy them -I think at Harvey- and to fix it is simple, just 2 little screws underneath and replace the part. Normally if you don't insert the mouth piece fully it leaks, but you seem to do it correctly. Good luck and I hope this helps you

Another update, the water tank & the unit need to clean every 2-3 months to keep it clean. I used vinegar & mix with water fill up the tank to clean it. Hope that helps.
