Good BBQ - poor service
Had problems with regulators on both Baby Q and Q2000. Was told I had to buy new ones.
Experienced weather event which toppled both BBQ's - surprisingly one frame broke on each of the BBQ's. Frame somewhat brittle and fragile for even a small impact.
Battled to trace parts. Local specialist dealer website '404'. Also specialist dealers can't help with parts. Eventually contacted Adelaide reps - had to provide serial nrs, pictures etc. Result? Was sent expensive pricelist for frames and regulators, no sympathy.
Have now solved the problem - taken both Weber Baby Q and Q2000 to the tip.

Love our Weber Q
Our family makes breakfast, lunch and dinner on the Weber Q. We use it for everything from pancakes and bacon to roast dinners. What I like most about it is the size. It’s not too big and not too small. We put a tray inside at dinner with veggies and meat and roast away whilst we sit and chat. Perfect addition to any family.

Excellent BBQ for small spaces.
This BBQ cooks meat perfectly - fast or slow. It’s easy to clean as the plates are removable. It’s the perfect for a family of 4 and for entertaining. Very easy to use and lots of great accessories you can get to expand your cooking options! We bought the cloth cover for it as it’s semi exposed to the elements and it has kept it clean and protected against the elements. Very functional for the neat size.

The heat is on!
Preherating is fast and cooking is fast and easy. The large grease catcher makes with opening at the bottom keeps the drippings and any droppings easy to clean up. Porcelain grills clean up with some elbow grease and safe oven leaner (even hot soapy water to soak in works) or the dishwasher.
The thing is they do not rust and do not have to be seasoned.
This is big enough for a family of four

Best BBQ by far
Despite having owned the traditional 4 burner hooded gas BBQs, I've never really enjoyed cooking on them - the constant attention required, the continual turning of the meat, the flames, trying to get different pieces of meat/chicken done to different tastes, and the very average results produced have resulted in me being something of a reluctant BBQer.
So when my latest 4 burner reached the end of it's useful life, encouraged by numerous positive online forum posts about the Weber Q barbeques, I decided to take the plunge and buy one, optin...Read more
g for the Premuim with it's higher hood and built-in temperature guage. One year later I can say that it has completely changed my outlook on BBQs. Cooking to specific times and temperatures have made it a lot easier to produce good results. I did lots of reading, and watched several online videos to get an idea of how to do things. I also invested in a cheap digital timer and a temperature probe. Cooking steak, lamb, chicken and sausages is now really just a matter of cooking to the times specified. And I don't have to stand at the barbie while it is cooking - I am free to socialise, and simply have to turn the meat when the timer beeps. Steak is done in around 6 minutes, chicken thighs in about 25 minutes. The smokey flavour is fantastic, and you can enahce this further by placing a small al-foil pack with some wood chips in while the Q is heating up. Salmon done on a cedar plank is delicious and easy. We have found that we now mostly cook our meat in the Q instead of the oven, and vegetables like broccoli and asparagus. It uses way less gas than my other BBQs, and is easy to keep clean. The triangular wire brush (thrown in as a freebie by the shop we bought it from) makes short work of the bits on the grill. We invested in the roasting trivett which enables you to do roasts. All in all, it has honestly changed my whole attitude to BBQs. I can now produce good, consistent results on the grill. I'm definitely a fan of the Weber Q.Similar opinion? Always using it and love it
I use it 3-4 times a week for both grilling and roasting. It uses virtually no gas and is so easy to clean.
The timing in the instruction manual is spot on, just close the lid until it says and voila!
this is best BBQ i have ever used. it has the perfect temperature and It always cooks everything evenly and quickly.
Would highly recommend to anybody hoping to buy a decent, long lasting BBQ that's light enough to transport to the beach

Cook all meat outside. Love the smokey taste.
I have always owned a bbq, but this is by far the best I have owned. I am glad I purchased this around three years ago as I note the new grills are made from some sort of coated, painted on material. The one I have is cast iron. My frying pans are also cast iron and I feel safer knowing this type of material does not flake or peel. In terms of cooking ability, I have owned a few large, high hooded bbqs, which cooked well, but took a long time. This medium sized Weber Q cooks quicker and the smokey flavour is awesome. I cannot believe I di...Read more
d not buy one sooner. I cook all my meat outside. It is a habit I got into while living in the tropics, where it was too hot to cook inside. These days I just throw any meats on the Weber and turn once, even sausages. This frees up your time, which is great in a social setting or when you are busy. I use just water and a cheap wire bristled brush to clean immediately after cooking while the grill is still hot. In terms of maintenance cleaning, I like to use a small, plastic, bendable, plaster scarper to go over the inside shell of the bbq and collect the contents in the pan, then change the pan. One time I let the maintenance go for three pan changes and the fat caught on fire. I had to use the hose to put it out! Now as a rule of thumb whenever I change the pan I also do a scrap down. **I think Weber should include a small, plastic scraper with the bbq for safety reasons. Many people neglect this task, but it can lead to disaster if not properly cleaned.** I also own a charcoal Weber, but this has not been used since I got a Weber Q. The Weber Q taste is perhaps not as good as the charcoal, but I do like that the meat is cleaner. I learned that additives to charcoal, which help it to stay lit, are carcinogenic, so I am happy to avoid this cooking method. If I were to use it again I would chose wood over charcoal. The medium sized Weber Q is compact enough to take away on camping trips. I have fed from 1 to over 50 people from it. I love that you don't have to constantly monitor it and that it cooks like an oven in many ways. Other people have reported the gas being blown out in the wind. When I lived near the beach and the wind was often howling, it still wasn't enough to put out the Weber Q gas. I initially bought the baby q and had to cook two chickens that day. I took the Weber out of its pack, looked over at the two chickens, then put the Weber back in it's packaging, returned it and got the next size up. I also bought the wire rack accessory for cooking large meats. I don't buy the one use, "Weber" flat, foil base with holes in it. Instead I just use foil and knife holes into it. Much cheaper and less waste. I also don't buy "Weber" pans. Instead I buy the $2 shop ones and fold them down to fit. Again it's way cheaper. All round great barbie! Highly recommend.Similar opinion? Fantastic BBQ with great accessories!
Aweosme BBQ, used very often in our home! Anything from your back BBQ meats to tasty spit roasts, this BBQ has certainly made an impact on our day to day cooking. With the addition of the electronic spit roast attachment this makes cooking for a family gathering easy. Easy to clean and look after, and very sturdy and weather resistant. Defiantly money well spent!

Best small bbq
We have decided to buy a small bbq to replace our 5 burner Beefeater bbq as over the last few years we only ever used about the third of the plates.
After looking around & reading many reviews we decided on Webber Q Premium.
At first, I was a bit concerned with its small size, but it is more than adequate.
What a great little bbq!
Super easy to use - turn the gas on, press electronic ignition & you are set.
No need to play with the gas settings, just live it on full as per instruction manual.
The steaks cook super fast - so far 5minutes max for medium rare & sometimes it is even less.
The meat cooks very evenly & retains the moisture much better than our old $2000 Beefeater!
Cleanup is quick & easy too.

Use it because it grills better than is possible in the kitchen.
We use our Weber several times a week because it produces delicious food, with minimal clean-up. It is completely reliable. Ours is the model with electronic ignition and a thermometer which makes it easy to use, with consistent results. We have found that Weber stand by their products. Some rust appeared on the grille of ours after about three years, and on production of a photograph, evidence of purchase and the serial number plate, Weber sent us a new grille.

By far the best purchase!
I gifted the Weber Q2200 to my boyfriend for his birthday and we are both obsessed with using it! We cook almost everything on it and it's super handy when you go camping or having a party at a friend's house because it's portable! We also have the stand so leave it set up majority of the time because we use it so often. It's also a better looking bbq than most. If you know someone who needs a BBQ, look into getting this one. Great value for money!

Perfect BBQ for beginners
The Weber Baby Q meets all our needs. The main thing is that it is compact. We take it when we are travelling. It is easy to store and set up ready for cooking. As for cooking it is the best and easiest barbecue for beginners like me

Can't doubt the quality of build and performance
This is one hell of a BBQ, apart from great looks, it's got amazing performance. Meats come out cooked perfectly, thanks to the temperature gauge as well. It's very light.. only 18Kgs!!! and folds up neatly for storage.
The add on utensils are quiet expensive, Weber usually doesn't discount much... But I was looking for a BBQ which was top of the range and having read great reviews i couldn't go past that.

Love it!
We love our weber q. We have successfully made pizzas, roasts, and pork belly in the weber in addition to your standard bbq fare. We love that it's portable and doesn't take up much room. We purchased the patio cart stand and the half hot plate to go with it.
An internal temperature gauge is the only thing we wish it had :)

Grill is great, trolley not so much
Hitherto to I was not a great barbecuer. This is my second in decades. Now I'm a convert. The Weber is a great purchase. My wife was doubtful (What do you want that for? OK, if you must.") but now even she likes it for the convenience, speed, and taste of the food. Besides the usual barbecue fare I've cooked bacon and eggs for breakfast and a pork loin roast. All turned out perfectly. No more spattering on and around the kitchen cooktop.
The Weber is easy to move around the patio and doesn't seem to use much gas. Cleaning is easy...just don'...Read more
t bother other than a basic scrape. Weber foil fat trays are somewhat overpriced but compatible ones are available from Bunnings for half the price. No equivalent for the convection tray. I guess I'll have to wear that however it's not a regular use item. Now for the downside. The patio trolley is an bad piece of design and manufacture. I'm surprised Weber let this pass as it's not up to the standard of the barbecue. I'm a DIYer and have been assembling kits of various types for 35 years but the patio trolley defeated me. Either the design or the manufacturing tolerances are bad and probably both. I've docked one star on this account. I gave up trying to fit the legs and ended up cutting off one set of built-in nuts with an angle grinder and using my own nuts and bolts. The remaining three fastening points were difficult requiring the simultaneous use of knees and hands to force the legs up against a wall to get the holes to line up with the built-in nuts. What you would expect to be a simple 20-30 minute job took an hour. It looks and works fine once forced together. A 9 kg bottle is slightly too big. You have to reach up under the top section to get at the valve.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Great!
Super easy to move around as its not big and bulky like other bbqs. Grills like a dream. Perfect for small families as the grill plates aren't massive. We bought the hot plate as an additional and i'm glad we did, i definitely recommend. We've had ours for a few years and its still going strong.

Outstanding BBQ
I am going to have a hard time thinking of any "cons" to go with my "pros" for this barbie. Its my first Weber and I love it. I had only had regular grill style barbie before this, so it was another world learning about the hooded bake-and-grill-together style. The tenderness of the meat is just great. It's very well worked out and pretty hard to NOT get good results unless you actually burn the meat. Frugal on gas and easy to transport. Very happy chappy!

Hi Anne, best results come from using both grill pieces & convection tray/trivet, not a hotplate/grill combo. Thanks!

Hi, we have a four year old baby Q and when I cook damper, roast or biscuits they always burn the bottom and not cook inside
I have a convection tray and a trivet and have tried both half and quarter moon settings

Hi Kim, are you putting the convection tray down first, then trivet? Or trivet, then convection tray?
And how long are you pre-heating before cooking?
