Top shelf is already sagging a day after we got it under the weight of condiments. Poor quality and design if it can't deal with the weight of normal fridge items. Glass shelves are very flimsy compared with our last Westinghouse fridge. Beware!!!

Purchased in 26 Dec 2022 (brand new) as our 20 year old Westinghouse fridge (top mount) eventually gave out.
The new fridge worked great. Love the drawers and style especially how they easily glide.
Love the built it ice cube tray & container - absolutely genius!
The digital temperature panel allows you to set difference temperature for different zones.
The shelves are sturdy and so easy to clean! The entire fridge is easy to clean - including the exterior (which smudged a lot) but a quick wipe takes care of that.
However, on 23 Dec 2020 (after...
Read more almost 12 months) the freezer stopped working then a few days later the fridge also stopped working. We referred to the manual for troubleshooting with no luck! I called the retailer who put me on the manufacturer. The manufacturer was very prompt and booked first available technician to come in. Tech came in on time and found what was the problem.

Nice fridge except for the high pitched whine noise it has. A bit like your ears are ringing! The freezer doesn’t seem to have as much space as my old 442 litre fridge. The door can also be a bit hard to open causing the whole fridge to move. I could put up with the lack of freezer space and the door but the noise is VERY annoying. I have read about other people complaining about the same thing.
Edit: A few weeks on and I’m sort of used to the noise. The crisper drawer feels a bit flimsy but it is a nice fridge. Our electricity consumption has definitely dropped. I think it’s very energy efficient.

EDIT: The repairman came and couldn’t hear the noise but said to just get a refund and try a different brand, because all Westinghouse fridges would be the same. We are switching to an LG model that advertises a quiet inverter compressor!
When we first got the fridge - 4 days ago - it was great. It’s stylish, a good size, has removeable baskets for the door, freezer is nice and roomy and the lighting inside is great. A day in and I could hear a high-pitched buzzing noise (which is subjective because my dad, for example, can’t hear it). We have ...

We bought this fridge after being pleased with our previous Westinghouse bottom mount fridge which we owned for 10 years before it stopped working.
Firstly the positives - the WBE4500SA has an attractive style, with the interior well designed and illuminated with a solid, quality feel. The compartments are well laid out, with the wine rack and egg trays useful features.
Unfortunately the fridge is let down by a few issues. Firstly the compressor is noisier than expected and has a discernibly louder compressor than our previous, older model....
Read more It is also frustrating that the door is difficult to open and also to close. There is no self-closing mechanism either - although this seems to be the norm with modern fridges for some reason. Finally, the energy efficiency is worse than comparably priced fridges e.g. LG and Electrolux competitors. Overall below expectations.- Date Purchased
Had it plugged in for 6 hours and is as noisey as my 10 year old fridge for the money paid not real happy size good and looks good set up but to noisey for a new fridge should of done my research first not happy at all way to loud

I find this fridge very noisy. My previous fridge was a Westinghouse and did not have this issue. The condenser appears to make a deeper more penetrating noise than other fridges I've had, and the noise is on most of the time I'm at home. Even when I come home from work and haven't opened the fridge for 10-12 hours, the condenser is on and noisy. In my open plan unit, I have to turn the TV up loud to block the fridge noise, and I can hear the fridge from my bedroom. Friends who also bought this fridge around the same time have made the same complaint about it being noisy.

tech out twice for same issue, small pipe at back of fridge vibrates loudly when compressor turns on. so loud you can hear it all over the house even with two doors closed in between, very upsetting as size is great but would return if could as rattling noise very irritating, stopped for 4 weeks after first tech visit, then one week after next visit now louder than before

Having had a Westinghouse for 23 years I was happy to stay with this brand, however, soon after turning the new one on it began to make a shrill noise. Upon visiting, the technician quickly agreed to a replacement, but although the new one is not making the same shrill noise, I find, as another reviewer has, that there is an annoying pulsating noise when the compressor is running. In an office or busy location, or indeed to some people, that me be acceptable, but in a quieter place such as where I am, I find it less than acceptable. I expected better from Westinghouse/Electrolux

Features:
- Series of 3 fridges with a $100 price difference between them. Each fridges have the same features, so this price difference may be attributed to the finish of the fridges. The most expensive fridge is a dark stainless steel, whereas the cheapest is a white non-stainless steel finish.
- 453L capacity is suitable for supplying an amount of food for a household of around 4 to 5 people
- ‘FamilySafe’ lockable compartment is useful for keeping sneaky kids away from foods or drinks that they shouldn’t touch
- Door alarm that goes off if the fridge door is accidentally left open - this is helpful for preventing energy wastage or food spoilage
What reviewers thought about this fridge:
- This fridge was convenient for fitting into more compact spaces such as apartment kitchens. One happy reviewer mentioned that this fridge was the first fridge in a series of bulky fridges that finally fit nicely into their kitchen’s fridge cavity.
- Some reviewers mentioned that they found that this fridge could be somewhat noisy, which could be a potential drawback.
- Although reviewers previously owned Westington fridges that last for quite a few years, some people commented that this model of Westington fridge didn’t seem to last as long.
- In general, reviewers seemed to frequently note that their Westington fridge kept food cool and fresh without needing to constantly fiddle around with the temperature.
