Westinghouse 453L Bottom Mount WBE45 Series

So the freezer freezes food. The fridge cools food. So the fundamentals are there. Good start.
But.
It's quite noisy and when I am quietly working from home all I can hear the the compressor buzzing.
Plus, and this drives me INSANE!! Both the fridge door AND freezer door have some sort of mechanism built in that prevents it from closing if you don't slam them shut. Top shelf is already sagging a day after we got it under the weight of condiments. Poor quality and design if it can't deal with the weight of normal fridge items. Glass shelves are very flimsy compared with our last Westinghouse fridge. Beware!!!

Worst fridge I have ever used. The fridge failed after one month and compressor was replaced. Same thing happened one month later. Repair man was scheduled 3 weeks after. No compensation for the food and medication at all. So disappointing. Will never recommend.

If you plan to bin $$$ of foods cost after 2 weeks purchased brand new Westinghouse Fridge and again after 15 months new replacement because of the same PERFECTly defect compressor than consider to buy it with this define promised!! According to the nice repair man of Electrolux on the both days visited to repair it! this product was manufactured with perfectly defect compressor and still, it is being SALE unintentionally to customer. Well done Westinghouse! I am unintentionally off for another product after i got my store credit!

In late March 2020, my Westinghouse fridge that I had owned for approx 25 years finally stopped working. On Friday 27th March I purchased a new Westinghouse fridge WBE45005B-L, this was delivered to our home on Sat 28th March.
After about 3 weeks, we noticed that the fridge was not working as effectively as when we first received it. We consulted the manual, tried to adjust temperatures, but to no avail.

Purchased in 26 Dec 2022 (brand new) as our 20 year old Westinghouse fridge (top mount) eventually gave out.
The new fridge worked great. Love the drawers and style especially how they easily glide.
Love the built it ice cube tray & container - absolutely genius!
The digital temperature panel allows you to set difference temperature for different zones.
The shelves are sturdy and so easy to clean! The entire fridge is easy to clean - including the exterior (which smudged a lot) but a quick wipe takes care of that.

We bought this fridge as Westinghouse brand still has some connection to Australia and all the service and people involved (I know it is all globalised and Electrolux etc but still). Also it seemed of having OK quality and not too smelly plastic.
It worked fine for 4 years, somewhat noisy and sluggish to cool - we had more efficient fridges before - but still OK enough. Internals have good layout and lighting, but flimsy.

Bought this fridge in January and the compressor went in September. Very noisy. Doors very hard to open.
My last Westinghouse fridge went for almost 30 years. Very disappointed with this.. Changed to a Samsung & so far it's good, not noisy like the Westinghouse.

This fridge sounds like a motorbike revving up in the kitchen every half hour, around the clock, and once the revving settles down, the compressor can be heard from the other end of the house. It's no fun being woken at 3am by your fridge. I mean, my old LG fridge was 15 years old by the time it died and you would never even know it was running. How is it possible for a much newer model be so outstandingly bad?? As soon as I can afford to replace this fridge, I will, and you couldn't pay me to buy a Westinghouse now.

The fridge has a high pitch sound that is driving me insane. I have a constant ringing in my right ear now. I had the first one replaced because of the noise, but the replacement is just as bad. I have tried very hard to live with this, but I think I’ve reached my limit. It feels like it is messing with my hearing it’s that bad. Otherwise, I love the fridge.

Purchased this fridge 3 weeks ago and yesterday I closed the freezer door and the noise level went from a 1/10 noisy to an 8/10 noisy and the fridge keeps beeping even though the doors are closed. Have to sleep with all doors closed in the house to block the noise out. The fridge and freezer are not even 1/4 full. Now I have to go through the rigmarole of getting a brand new fridge fixed or replaced. Beyond disappointing.
