It works,but very noisy
It was delivered in September,2017when the unit renovation about to finish.I started use 3 weeks ago. It maintains the temperature. Somehow the motor runs almost every hour. It's very annoying in my unit where it's open kitchen. I called the tech centre, says it's normal for this model.I won't recommend to anyone.

Very good
Mantain good temperature, keeps things cold accordingly. Also quite, sometimes you hear a little noise but not bad, its normal, and it is easy to clean, you can adjust the rack on the door fridge, nice looks, space is okay, 328 kwh per year. Good value for money compere with the energy consumption.

Great choice
Very affordable from Appliancesonline and looks good in my kitchen. Plenty of room for food for 2 people (and a dog). Great to have adjustable shelves in door. Door alarm is handy. At first I thought it was a little noisy but has settled in well. love the ice cube maker and storage.

Great Value
We bought this fridge for my father who lives on his own. It has plenty of room inside it . It has no sound coming from it unlike his old fridge. The price was very affordable and the fridge looks very nice in his kitchen. We are very happy with our purchase and would highly recommend.

Good Value
We bought this as our first ever fridge for our first ever home. It was brilliant. Was affordable, looked good and did its job. The only downside was that at times it could be quite squishy, especially with bottles and drinks. However everything worked perfectly and we were very happy with our purchase! Looks so nice in our brand new kitchen!

Works well
It's only early days yet but so far this fridge is working well. It's big enough for 2 or 3 people and has optional shelving set up so you can adjust the shelves to your own needs. The only thing I'm not so fussed on is the noise it makes - it can get a little noisy in a unit or granny flat type situation where the kitchen/dining/living areas are all fairly close together. However, it's only noisy every so often, not constantly.

Exactly what we needed
We bought this Westinghouse fridge for our house. It's been great so far for 4 people. I like that the little compartments on the door are adjustable, it's very quiet and it fits a lot inside it considering its size. I probably wouldn't recommend this as a family fridge but as a share house fridge orca second fridge, it's great!

Great fridge
I bought this fridge on sale and I got a bargain - it is a great fridge and works really well. The fridge has lots of space for vegetables and the shelving on the doors is a good size that will fit most items that you need. The freezer works well too.

Very disappointed, fridge stopped working after 2yrs 3 mths
Historically my family and I have purchased Westinghouse fridges as we trust the brand for quality and performance. Our last Westinghouse fridge lasted 20years. Not the case with this fridge, purchased on 28/10/14 and the fridge completely stopped working on 28/1/17, 2 yrs 3 mths, just outside of the 2 yr warranty. Expected a fridge at this price would last longer as it's not a small electrical appliance. The fridge was already noisey but before it "died" it was noisier than usual, then nothing but silence, neither freezer nor normal fridge com...Read more
partments worked yet the lights still lights up when door was opened. Now I have to fork out money for a service call without knowing approximate costs of repair. Maybe just give up and try another brand. Update - I booked a service call with Electrolux. The technician was prompt and called on approach. The technician was able to repair my fridge and Electolux kindly did not charge for the service call. My fridge is now working and a lot quieter. The after sell service means I'd be willing to buy another Westinghouse product.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Good so far
Only had this fridge for less than a day, but so far it seems okay.
The freezer is a very good size with an ice cube twister / collection tray. Unlike some models, the twister component is removable if you need extra freezer space. The LED light inside the fridge is nice and bright. There is no light in the freezer. A door alarm alerts you if the doors are kept open for an extended period. There is no electronic control panel on this fridge - just a simple temperature slide controller in the fridge, and another in the freezer.

fridge is most definitely noisier than my smaller 18 year-old Fisher & Paykel fridge this one replaces, but unless you sleep in your kitchen it shouldn't be an issue. The external sides of the fridge get quite warm when running (manual says this is normal), so make sure there's adequate ventilation on the sides. Not a massive fan of the "Flex Store" sliding plastic shelves. They give you 2 x two-third length shelves, and 2 x one-third length shelves so you can arrange them in a stepped-like fashion - they hang on rails inside the door and they can be remounted and slide around to re-arrange as you like... but for me just not very practical. The two-third shelf is large enough for 10 eggs, not 12. Who buys 10 eggs? You can buy extra Flex Store components (e.g. - extra shelves, a can dispenser). The fridge's top shelf is a plastic chiller compartment. I'm not sure what to keep in there. The manual doesn't explain anything. The vege crisper drawer at the bottom has a humidity controller and a good size. The standard shelves inside the fridge are glass. If anything - I think there are too many shelves, so I might sometime remove one or two to make space for tall items.1 comment

Lasted 18 months & crazy electricity bill
Compressor died within 18months. Completely unaware, the compressor used excessive electricity in the lead up to giving out. We ended up with a bill 5 times greater than usual. Westinghouse refuse to acknowledge the excessive electricity use even after we had wiring and all other appliances in our house tested

Hasn't let us down.
I don't usually do these things but if i'm going to i can not go past our fridge. It hasn't missed a beat and we have had it for so many years now. It's normally the things that you take for granted that are best things in life. It just keeps on keeping on. When we eventually have to bye a new one we will make sure we buy a Westinghouse!

Brittle Plastic Parts! Temp Regulation poor!
This fridge is reliable and whatnot its just that the price for replacement plastic shelves and whatnot is too high. My Ice Cube tray and collector but broke almost instantly and I cannot fathom buying a replacement part as it is too expensive. Would not buy this brand again. Too brittle in the plastic design.

Excellent Refrigerator - Still!
I've now had this fridge for a year, and cannot fault its performance, winter or summer, regardless of temperature. It maintains an even temperature in the fridge section and oh my I am so glad not to have to defrost (my previous 221L was a) too small and b) required defrost every 3 months... Tedious). This fridge isn't as quiet as the old one was, but you'd expect that, because it has a larger motor. That said, when it's running, you can't really hear it unless you are standing nearby. It's there, it's audible, but it's not intrusive. The...Read more
glass shelves make for easy cleaning, and I love the IceCube maker and the door storage which my previous lacked. All in all, an excellent fridge which I expect to last at least as long as the last (which was still working well after 16 years!) [Edit] Updating this review, it is now 3 years since purchase and I am still very happy with it. It remains relatively quiet, efficient, and no drain on the electricity. Very happy, and will buy Westinghouse again in the future should it become necessary. Somehow I do not think that will be likely.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Freezes vegetables
This is an adequate fridge in most respects but it is impossible to regulate the temperature in the vegetable drawer, contents freeze all the time, a big waste of food. I had to buy this fridge as it was the largest we could fit in our current kitchen but it is poorly made compared to my last Samsung model. I won't buy Westinghouse again, not the reputable product I expected.

Worse fridge I have ever owned
I wish I had never bought this fridge. I thought I was safe with a Westinghouse but its rubbish. I have owned if for two months and I cant get the temperature right. My vegetables freeze and my frozen goods aren't cold enough. I have thrown out so much food. I am so unhappy with it.

Terrible
When the temperature in the fridge compartment is turned down to the level that is effective the vegetables in the vegetable compartment freeze. We've taken to keeping the beer in that compartment but now find that with the temperature turned low they even freeze in the rest of the fridge. But turn the temperature up and the fridge starts to smell. The good news is that this model has been discontinued (I wonder why...???). We bought this in January 2015 from Noel Leeming, Auckland who refuse to take it back!

Ok but the plastic shelving is of poor quality
Bought it from goodguys and only wanted a trusted brand. Fridge works perfectly fine. Cooling is fantastic. The top door shelf in the freezer, the main shelf in the fridge door and the tray above the veggie tray all broke within a year. Did not bother contacting Have been using it without these as the cost to replace them is too much. Overall all ok but it would be great to have a better quality plastic.

Another with a gripe about the plastic shelving!
We purchased the fridge new in 2008. It works great as a fridge, gets a bit noisy occasionally but no problem really. The problem as already mentioned is the brittle nature of the plastic shelving components. Have had to replace several door bins as they have just cracked and the cost to replace is ridiculous considering that the pats you get are just as brittle and likely to fail again. The housing for the freezer bin and ice tray just collapsed of it's own accord and am unable to find a replacement on any website. Makes using the freezer bins and ice try holder a nightmare.
would be hard pressed to recommend this fridge or consider a Westinghouse fridge as a replacement when our current fridge needs replacement.

Plastic components break so easily
While this fridge freezer combo does its job reasonably well, the plastic shelving parts break so easily! The shelf directly ontop of the veggie crisper bin has split in half without abuse, as has the ice cube drawer - that broke one day when I pulled it out to retrieve ice. To replace these parts I'm looking at ~$80 and ~$55 respectively plus shipping..
I'm now very cautious when placing items in any of the plastic components, even so I still hear horrible cracking noises.
Shame the plastic is of such low quality, the freezer freezes very qu...Read more

Just to clarify, as well as the Flex Store shelves, there's also a full-length shelf for large bottles (e.g. 2 or 3L milk), and a narrower shelf at the very bottom of the door great for cans of drink, beer bottles, etc..
