3 x bright lights. Too much air.
Just got my oven installed. Not real happy with the 3 "Spot Lights" glaring at my face. Get blinded sitting at my kitchen bench! Been told we can't switch them off whilst cooking. Have to cover the door with a tea towel for any relief! Stupid invention!! Also cant stand the amount of air continually coming out above the door. Hit's me in the face just walking past it. Not looking forward to cooking in summer. It's just like having a blow heater running non stop!!

Excellent Oven
Great features, heats up pretty quick, easy to clean, shelving is good, cooks fairly evenly. Our old F&P oven only lasted 5 years so hopefully this will last a lot longer.
Purchased in June 2021 at Home Clearance for $2,114.00.

Just Perfect
I never realised how much I needed 2 ovens until I got this. It makes cooking so much easier so you can have the right temperature for whatever you're cooking. Being able to start cooking your dessert while the main is still cooking makes it all worth while. It's not too complicated to use.

Brilliant
It's the perfect oven for baking. I have had no issues whatsoever ever with unsafe handles or trays. Like everything that gets hot it takes some common sense when using.
The ovens don't seem to use much energy from what I saw in my bill. I used both ovens everyday for 1.5 months straight for baking Christmas treats and it was brilliant. Like all new things, especially ovens, you have to get to know it, the hot zones, the cool zones. Invest in an oven thermometer that hangs off the shelf.
It's easy to clean with its removable doors and the fa...Read more

Versatile, easy-to-use double oven
I bought this double wall oven for a large holiday house that is used by our extended family. The identical twin ovens, each with a fan and grill, provide plenty of capacity for parties and for cooking different types of dish at the same time. An excellent feature is the very clear control panel at the top, with two knobs for each oven, one to select one of the eight element/fan combinations, the other to set the temperature. Each mode is clearly marked with both a description in English and a small diagram to illustrate the elements and fan co...Read more
mbination thereby activated. The controls are so intuitive that no one has so far found any need to refer to the instruction manuals. Full-width glass doors and 3 light bulbs in each oven give an excellent view of food as it is cooked. Triple glazing means that the exterior remains cool to the touch even when using higher temperatures. I have used surface rather than flush mounting of the oven so that cooling air circulation behind the front glass panel is improved. I have ordered telescopic rack runners which are an accessory on this model but they are currently out of stock. This user-friendly oven has earned immediate approval from everyone who has tried it so far, especially ease of use with the clear control panel.1 comment

Cooks Well But Dangerous Tray Design
Modern outside design & cooks well, but unfortunately the major concern is the grill trays which in my opinion should be recalled, the grill handle & the grill tray is one piece, so obviously when open grilling which this oven is designed to do the tray is going to get so hot you cannot touch it, which can result in burning yourself if you forget about this fault, how this has passed the testing stage is beyond me, if kids or guests are using the grill it can result in serious burns as they would have no idea about the tray issue, I have contac...Read more
ted Westinghouse about this obvious fault but they have just denied there's anything wrong with the design & refused to provide a solution. The knobs at the top of the oven get very hot when doing a long roast as hot air blows out just below the buttons. The next issue is the trays do not glide in & out, they are very rough to move in & out, & make a ear-piercing scraping noise as they rub against Side Catalytic Liners, really is unbelievable how they allowed this to be released with such a fault, once again contacted Westinghouse about this issue, there answer was to buy oven runners kit from them at staff price, rather then accepting they have designed it poorly & give you the runners, they want to charge your for this & profit from there faults. Unfortunately due to these faults I couldn't recommend this product, for a $3100rrp oven, these poor designs shouldn't exist, the above issues need to be resolved, the grill trays are simply dangerous & the poor design of the trays moving roughly in & out really cheapens the quality of this oven, unfortunately Westinghouse/Electrolux support was unhelpful about these issues. They also deleted my review from their website, so can only assume how many others have been deleted for similar reviews.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Looking at buying this double wall oven, can anyone tell me if the temp is consistent with dial? How evenly the oven cooks? Ie do u have to rotate trays? And how well and even cakes cook? I bake alot
1 answer
Checking the fan-bake temperature with a dial oven thermometer I have found it to be very accurate. If you bake a lot I suggest you get such a thermometer to be sure - they are not expensive. I have baked some biscuits and turned the trays around to make certain the browning was perfectly even. Have only baked a cake once and it was fine. Others using the oven ( it's a holiday house) only have praise for it. The casing fan should have been made to run on for a while after switch-off to cool it down.

we have purchased the new double oven and looks and works great but the only thing that worries me is that after use the main lcd and switch panel are extremely hot to the touch is this normal or is this an issue?

Hi Robert,
I have not had this problem. It sounds to me as if the upper door is not closing and sealing fully, allowing hot air from the oven to escape and heat the knobs etc. above. Have you checked the hinges at the bottom of the upper door? There are two small metal clips that push forward to hold the hinges open when you want to lift the door off. You need to make sure they are fully clipped back after reinstalling the door, otherwise the door will stay very slightly ajar, leaving a narrow gap at the top where heat can get out. The clips stop just short of fully back but you have to push them back further quite firmly to complete the action. The installer of the oven would likely have lifted the doors off during installation and may not have noticed the need to do that when refitting them. You should check the bottom door hinges as well. If this does not work you may need to get a service call under warranty to check the seal.

I have not had a problem with those areas. The oven is designed to let out heat through the vents, but the lcd screen and knobs do not get too hot I find that they do get hottish when I cook non stop for over 6hrs continuously. I never cook over 160C.
The warm air coming out of the top vents that G. mentions is to keep the outside of the the oven casing cooler so it does not overheat and damage surrounding cabinetry. I don't think much if any of it comes out of the oven interior itself.

Disappointing to hear.. Just call up warranty support (try 1300363640) your still covered 2 year warranty (from memory) & remember even when warranty finishes you still have consumer rights, so if anything happens out of warranty they still may be liable to fix it
