After switching from Coles to Woolworths for deliveries we received our items for the first few orders. But now we have many missing items due to being 'Out of Stock' and also substitutions which aren't at all suitable. Is this a case of 'familiarity breeds contempt' i.e. Woolworths expects you to accept poor service after you've had a few good deliveries? Has this happened to others?

The plastic bags that you sell the 5 mini bananas in - are they ethylene absorbing? I ask because the bananas last much longer if I keep them in one of your bags. By the way, I bought one pack (because a friend told me the bananas last for ages) and use the one bag over and over again to store any bananas that I buy - you really do sell too much of your fruit and vegies in plastic. If it's not ethylene absorption, then what is the science? If it is the ethylene, how long will the absorption properties last?

I have noticed that Woolworths lamb roasts have changed colour in the last few months. They seem a lot pinker to me. Just wondering if anyone else has noticed this and if there is a reason?

Haven't noticed this but their chicken breast isn't the same anymore. It goes off in just couple of days. Not just once but I have experienced this so many times. Their meat quality has certainly dropped,!!
Even worse, they don't respond or take any actions.
Water content is high when pink.
The thing with the chk breasts is there boxed from were they get them from, Supermarkets dont recieve it for a couple of days that makes them 4days old already and then sit in there deli department until there bought I know this as my friend worked for steggles. ANd it goes the same with fish

Hi Denise, thanks for sharing your experience with our minced beef. We're sorry to hear they haven't been meeting your expectations recently. We'll most definitely share your experience with our Quality Team for their knowledge and awareness of the situation. Thank you.
It might have something to do with the fact that the older formulation red dye that could colour meat deep red, was no longer available due to it being carcinogenic and they are not allowed to put it on meat products that could be old, pale and gray, to make it look better.

Purchased apples regulary over the last 3 months weekly and quite a few have sprouting seeds inside, i asked a well known garden person if they we old stock .the answer yes!
Is there a time limit to the length of time they can be stored?
2 answers
I also found this recently with some apples I bought. I did some research online - it says they pick apples when almost ripe, inject them with a chemical, wax them, box them & stack them in cold storage for up to 12 months. This is because apples are only in season for a few months of the year.
Thanks, i hav planted some seeds as a experiment to see what i get in the way of a tree, they are growing quite well but are slow.thanks

With Woolworths, well all seafood is contaminated with mercury, organochlorines and Polychlorinated biphenyls . The question is does Woolworths supply from Australian fisheries or is that the labels they are putting on over seas sourced produce? And it's not so much a question of the fact that all woolworths seafood is contaminated, it's how contaminated are they and why do they never specify how much toxins are in their foods, and what are the "safe" limits in grams per week etc.... Like 200 years ago you could pretty much eat any fish and as much as you could catch..... these days it's a completely different issue. And the management of woolworths are failing to inform YOu the consumer about the hazards of the food they sell, especially the salt and sugar content.
Look this up: Food Standards Australia and New Zealand.
FSANZ ADVICE ON FISH CONSUMPTION
There are many nutritional benefits from eating fish.Fish is low in saturated fat and is an excellent source of protein, essential omega-
3 fatty acids, iodine, and some vitamins. Australian Dietary Guidelines recommend eating a variety of protein-rich foods including
meats, poultry, fish, eggs, nuts and legumes.
In deciding how much and what types of fish to eat, be aware that all fish contain a small amount of mercury, with some types of fish
having higher levels than others. Eating too much of those fish with high mercury levels, or eating them every day, could have
harmful effects.
The table provides guidance on the number of serves of different types of fish that are safe to eat for different population groups.
This advice is particularly important for pregnant women and those women intending to become pregnant because the unborn baby is
more vulnerable than others to the harmful effects of mercury. Young children are also included in this advice because they are
growing rapidly and eat more food per kilogram of body weight than adults or older children. Their exposure to mercury may therefore
be higher than adults.
Food Standards Australia New Zealand has prepared the ‘Advice on Fish Consumption’ based on the latest scientific information.
The advice has been specifically developed for the Australian population and reflects local knowledge of our diets, the fish we eat and
their mercury content.

Why is your minced beef in such long strings? I find it very offputting. I have never purchased mince anywhere that has been prepared like this. This has only started since we ( here in Tasmania) started getting mainland meat. It’s truly awful. Its pretty clear we are being sent the rubbish Victorians won’t eat. I won’t be buying any more of your rubbish either.

I wouldn’t even consider tasmania as part of Australia

I know how you feel. My wife roasted a leg of lamb last night (purchased at WW) and as usual, just a drizzle of olive oil to get it cooking (may be 50ml). When she went to take the roast out 65 minutes later, there was 310ml of water in the pan. So, we ended up with a stewed roast that was pumped full of water to get the price up. I love that fresh food feeling - NOT !.

Why don't any of the Woolworths in Wollongong have the new rocky Rodas biscuits?
3 answers
Unfortunately, I don't have any answer for you. Check with their so called customer service department, Good Luck
None of the Woolworths around here in Melbourne have these biscuits either. I don't think they are waiting for a delivery they have been off the shelves for months now. I think it's deliberately done to make you go and check the store all the time then maybe you will purchase something else while you are there.
I haven't even noticed these biscuits either - perhaps you can try Woolworths online or calling Woolworths headquarters

Why can't I find a listing for Woolworths Online?
Most of these reviews are in the wrong section and should be moved. A bunch of reviews for Woolworths online are incorrectly listed under Woolworths (bricks and mortar) and they should be moved.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯ c'mon Product Review admins, sort out your categories. Rejecting a person's effort with the excuse 'we don't have a category for that' and having so many outdated or wrong categories makes this site less effective. Reviewers time is donated, they deserve better.
