Amazingly effective and captivating to watch
We used to get cleaners to come in and give our house a good vacuum once a fortnight. I feel sorry for them, but they have been replaced by a robot. It will pay for itself in a few months.
Although its suction can't compare with an industrial vacuum cleaner, the fact that with a press of a button I can get the house vacuumed twice a week now with no effort or expense, means that no longer do I need to put up with dust and dirt accumulating between cleans. And this little guy does a better job at getting under furniture than a person ever di...Read more
d. Mopping is likewise pretty light and can't compare with a person, but the main feature is really the vacuuming. Amazing to watch it map out the house and then methodically work its way around covering everything it can get to. I havent had problems with it clogging in the brush. Am amazed (and appalled) at how much dust it will pick up from an apparently clean house.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Works ok, but has a few hiccups
It's quite effective at vacuuming, but very frequently the brush becomes clogged with hair and stops until it is unclogged, the dust bin so far requires emptying several times per cleanup. If there are any cables it can reach it will eagerly try to eat them, so you need to make sure your house is tidy and/or block off areas where it might get into trouble. So far we've always had to supervise it while it was cleaning, so we can un-clog it or empty the bin

What the fricken frack! This is actually amazing!
So... to say we were skeptical is an understatement, but we purchased the "Xiaomi Mi Robot 2" for our 4 bed, 2 bathroom home and it has literally changed our lives! We both work full-time and have two Persian cats that shed clumps of hair constantly. We have gained back 5-7 hours a week that we would normally spend vacuuming and mopping! Just crazy! On top of that, we do mid week cleans as well and the house is continuously spotless! We're so glad we purchased the Robot 2, as the mopping function is fantastic and cleans and polishes our bamboo ...Read more
floors perfectly. We have named ours Agador Spartacus after the flamboyant maid on The Birdcage, lol! We cannot imagine a life without Agador now! We recommend the "Xiaomi Mi Robot 2" to anyone who wants to save themselves some time. Give it a shot, you won't be disappointed!Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

This is Perfect, I can't live without it! Much better than other robots I've had in the past
Used to have a Samsung Navibot and once that died, it was time for an upgrade, after much research both in print and on youtube I settled on the Xiaomi Mi Robot 2. I'am staggered at how good this thing is, the reviews did not lie! It gets into all the nooks and crannies, doesn't get stuck where the Samsung Navibot used to get suck, it even speaks to you (in english), mops, vacuums and sweeps (where other units just sweep. I've recommend this to several friends who all echo my thoughts here. Oh and also the App (yes you can control it over wifi/4g/internet) is great and love seeing the LIDAR map out my house and where its been.

Setting a new standard.
I've had this for a couple of weeks and I'm delighted with how well it works. I thought our floors were pretty clean but using this device has shown otherwise. We have two cats who seem to be able to shed at will and this little machine seems to have no trouble removing this from our mostly tiled floor or the rugs or the carpet.
This is not our first experience with such a device. We had an Aldi version that lasted a couple of years before it went mad and had to be put down. It did a respectable job but was challenged by changing surfaces a...Read more
nd would get stuck on even relatively small obstacles - such as going from tiles to a thickish rug. The Xiaomi has only become stuck once on an IKEA chair base. It claims to be able to negotiate obstacles of up to 2cm and that would be borne out by our experience. I empty the little dust receptacle after each time it is run. As with the Aldi version we had this is necessarily small. Unlike the Aldi one this can be done one-handed which is nice. The battery seems well able to power the vacuum around our house. It reports that it cleans around 88 square metres and had a battery level of about 50% after doing that. In operation the vacuum had several modes and at its most powerful setting can be quite loud. However, this has only been used once in our house just "to see" what it was like. It was fine. But the" balanced" mode is all we would normally need. Being able to set a timer is handy for those of us inclined to forget to do the mundane tasks such as switching on a vacuum cleaner. You can select what time and what days it should operate. This is done through an app that, thankfully, is now available in English. A friend of mine bought one of these some time ago and had to struggle with it being in Chinese! Another nice touch is being able to set it to clean only a selected area using the app and the little map the device makes of your home. There is also a button on top to clean a 1.5 square metre area around wherever you plonk the machine down. I have also used the mopping function. It wasn't as fiddly as is expected and did a reasonable job on our tiled areas. Its not suitable for use in areas with rugs/carpet so is best used with the "zone clean" function.Similar opinion? Im a convert. This thing is awesome. Then see my additional comment 18 months later...
I’ve always looked down on robot vacs as an inferior option to pushing around my traditional corded vac. After reading some amazing reviews and because the price is so crazy reasonable, I indulged in a bit of spontaneous late night online shopping. Of course I had buyers remorse the next morning. But a week later when this device arrived and I set it up, my opinion could not be more polar opposite. It cleans spectacularly well! We have 150sqm of wooden floors, carpet and tiles. It does it all! When on carpets the suction increases automatically...Read more
- you can actually see the pile being lifted. It diligently maps the perimeters of each room and then methodically works it ways across each section of the floor, navigates chair legs and obstacles brilliantly and finds its way back to the charging dock. Our place is slightly too big for the vac to do on one charge (it works for over 2 hours before needing to recharge) so it zips back to the charging dock and when it has 80% of charge it goes back to exactly the place it left off and finishes the job. Amazing. I’ve used the mop function as well (programmed it to just mop the wooden floors and tiles by using the “zones” feature) and it did an equally brilliant job. Of course tight corners, nooks and crannies are not its thing. If I want a complete clean I spend 10 mins with my cordless vac doing skirting boards, tight corners and crevices, pick up any shoes and cords that might get in the way and then send the robot vac on it’s way. The only downfall is that it is so fascinating to watch it work, you spend your whole time watching it instead of getting on with life! Oh and kitty litter on a tiled floor - it picks most of it up, but does “flick” some pieces across parts of the floor that it has already cleaned. It comes with 2 x microfibre mop pads, spare filters for the mop function and a spare filter for the dust compartment.1 comment

Wow clean floors
I brought the version 2 after reading lots of reviews. Had running for 2 weeks now. 2 dogs and timber floors. Wish I had have done this a long time ago.. haven’t used the mopping function yet. Just turn it on when I walk out the door and walk into a clean floor at the end of the day. Do yourself a favour and get one.

I've had it for 3 weeks and already convinced 4 other people to buy it
Absolutely the best thing vacuum on the market at this point in time. The mopping feature is great (just make sure you block off carpeted areas as sometime the carpet detection doesn't work and it 'mops' the carpet (i.e. drags a damp dirty cloth across it). I have shown it to a number of people (including a farmer who wanted one for his farm house) and they have all said it works a treat. Pretty heavy duty, and isn't bothered by bigger rocks and dirt. Couldn't recommend this enough.

Xiaomi Mi Robot 2 vacuum !! OMG !
The S50 Roborock Mi Robot is one of Xiaomi's best products and this second gen is amazing
The Mi Robot 2 shares the same design aesthetic as the first-gen model — there are a lot of white elements interlaced with grey. The biggest change is that it now has a mop function, allowing the robot to perform a dry and wet clean in one go.
The dry vacuum clean option is unchanged from the first-gen Mi Robot — there's a rotating brush on the right side that siphons particles into the path of the robot, and there's a circular brush underneath the vac...Read more
uum that does a great job of sucking in dirt and it misses next to nothing ! Like before, there are two wheels on either side, and a smaller balancing wheel at the back that sits in between the charging pins. The robot now has a 2cm obstacle clearance, so it manages to go over rugs and other indents on the floor without any issues. And talking about charging, the charger base is significantly smaller The Mi Robot 2 features an even more powerful motor and a better routing algorithm. The first-gen model had a 1800Pa motor, and the Mi Robot 2 comes with an even more powerful 2000Pa motor. There's also a carpet mode in which it will increase suction if it recognizes a carpet. The default cleaning mode is set to Balanced, but this can be changed to Quiet, Turbo, or Max by heading into the robot's settings on the Mi Home app. You can also select a spot cleaning mode by hitting the button on the unit or from Mi Home, and the vacuum will start cleaning that particular zone.4 comments

ty the "tank" each few days .. and after the first few rounds it now just pick up the daily bits... When I first set this off it filled the dust tank to maximum as we ahve low beds that a normal vac cannot get under.. so I now know that the carpet is clean and dust free ... I have asthma and allergies so this this awesome robot is a must... im glad i waited for robot vacs to mature to this level of ability... the app is easy and the set up was easy ( im in IT) so no bother at all to get going... also ordered a few spare parts from ebay without issue ( spare brushes and filters) .. FIVE STAR !!!still amazing ... best thing i have ever bought
Still going strong I actually bought another one .. I now have 2 ! one upstairs and one downstairs .. I LOVE THESE !

Purchased newer Xiaomi Mi model - the Roborock. Best thing I have ever bought! Life changing!
Fantastic product. Vacuums brilliantly, maps and vacuums methodicallly. Mopping insert is easy to install. App is so handy. Will start clean up while I’m at work and come home to a clean floor. Not sure how I lived without this. Handle floor height changes will ease. Does everything it says on the advert! Pay that little bit more for the newer version. The first doesn’t mop and doesn’t have as great sensor range.

Has anyone else ever had issues with remembering the map when it drops down to 20% battery. Mine only 2 weeks old keeps losing the map when I set timer to start or it drops to 20% battery and loses where it is. I have put in a warranty claim and have to send it back. But I am interested if anyone else has the same problem. Yes I have the Map saving option on.

No I have had my vacuum for a year now that hasn’t happened only once it got confused and lost the map after an update to firmware. After I reset everything to default and started again I’ve had no issues. That was roughly 3 months ago

the motherboard. If it is out of warranty like mine then you have to source the fuse, strip the machine down, access the motherboard, remove the old fuse that is soldered on and the solder in the new fuse. Or throw the machine in the bin like I have done. Overall the purchase is a very expensive mistake.
