Making my life easier
I've been using this vacuum on my carpet, I have 2 border collies that shed a lot and the vacuum gathers all of their fur.
We will let this run at night whilst we are in bed (close off our bedroom) then the vacuum does the rest of the house and we'll wake up to nice clean, hairless carpet, it does miss a few nooks but it is a robot after all.

Cleans well, but necer finishes her cleaning cycle
From day 1 the robot keeps shooting errors every couple minutes that the main brush is dirty when it is not. This is really annoying. We have to restart her a couple times each cleaning cycle.
Purchased in December 2021 at Gearbest for $370.00.

Mr Xiaomi was my friend :(
I loved my Xiaomi. He saved my back. Alas I too noticed a burning smell, then started to get an error code about the fan. I am very happy with the service from Kogan. A replacement is on its way. Excellent customer service. After reading the other reviews about issues on here, I am nervous about the longevity of this product.
I hate sending things to landfill.
I hope my replacement Mr Xiaomi is a new and improved version that will give me many years of service.

Incredible help at home. Excellent vacuum power
It's a great feeling to walk into home from work and the house is dust free!
Bought last week from black Friday discount for only $500, used it twice and wife and me both are impressed and happy. Our 130sqm house has tiles and carpets, and this machine is sucking almost everything. The unit detects carpets and increases suction automatically to max, does good mapping and does not miss any spot..
Got stuck on barstool feet once, but that's easy to prevent..
1st use on carpet and the dustbin filled up completely, which tells us our cleaner wasn't doing the job as good as we thought!
Very happy with the money spent.

How to live without this?
We are not big consumers but our dog sheds a lot of fur, so I pulled the trigger and spent the money on this robo vac. It's good. Real good. But I would say it requires a fair bit of tech savviness.

So far way beyond expectations
After reading lots of reviews and researching I finally decided on the Roborock S50 Australian version as a present for my mum and it far exceeded my expectations of what it would do. My mother's house is one level and timber floorboards that always seem to have dirt from the dog walking in and out (note her dog is a Cavoodle so no hair to vacuum). The mapping and Tech blew me away at what it could do and map around the house and vacuum as well. So I decided to try it at my place with older mid-level pile carpet and it went really well, so good...Read more
in fact I kept it and got another for my mum. The mopping feature is a real bonus as its totally separate from the unit, just click it on and it drags around the room at the back of the unit. The mopping is great for general light mess and getting that extra dust off the floor. It obviously doesn't give it a good scrub but certainly helps keep the floor cleaner if used every week. The main reason I chose this model is both price and reviews as I was originally going to spend around $400 but went up a bit more due to the fact that this model maps and can even be started and programmed from the comfort of your work to clean any room as you watch it move around the house. It has obviously gotten stuck a few times on things like shoe laces and the like but overall its been a fantastic device. As I've only had it for a short time I cant speak of its longer term reliability but so far its perfect although I do expect it to work a lot harder on my carpet than on my mums hard floor.Purchased in November 2021 at Kogan.com for $569.00.

Worst Service Ever! Steer Clear!
The worst service ever. The vacuum kept coming up with Error 5, sent it back to Xiaomi Support. They sent it back to me only to find they never fixed the issue. Sent it back to them again and now they have stopped responding to my emails. They literally have the worst technical support imaginable. The vacuum failed within 6 months and I have been trying to get it fixed with their support team for over 4 months now.

The Xiaomi Roborock S50 (2nd Gen) is prone to failure
I bought 2 of these ( one for home and one for summer holiday house) and they have both had to go back multiple time to be repaired in the first 12 month. One unit was repaired for an Error 5 (main brush jamming) and when I got it back it still came up with Error 5. Now it has totally stopped working. The other unit just stopped working. I sent it in for repair and and got it back sone weeks later only to find that it now had another error so I have to send it back again.

Great for the price
I have used the vacuum for over a month now. It does a fantastic job of vacuuming and mopping. However in the last month, Once it acted funny (like banging hard on obstacles like it forgot the map). I reset the map and its working fine again. Overall a great machine for the price. The app is user friendly but still has lots of room to improve. Currently it does not have a options to save multiple maps (for a 2 story house) and zones. This means each time I have to first run the vacuum and then set the zone (to exclude carpets) for mopping separately.

We have gone through 2 iRobots and the Roborock is better by far.
I like that it maps the house so you can see whats been cleaned, and very impressed with the mopping. We have owned this cleaner for 9 months very happy and a whole lot cheaper than iRobot.

Great feature with both mop and vac
Excellence feature with vacuum and mop function. Suitable to use on level floor with same flooring material. Blue ray scan helps detect cleaning zone and it cleans really well each time. Apps are very easy to use, update and maintain. Absolutely good value for money!

The only choice
The best thing about this machine is its value for money - you're getting a lot for the price and nothing else in this price range comes close to it. It's so much better than generation 1 at getting over obsticales like different floor heights and rugs. It also remembers the map (which the last generation didn't really) and this allows you to set no-go zones which works reliably and I've noticed that the machine figures out where it is very quickly if you have to pick it up to unclog and put it back down again mid-clean. It may be a litter more...Read more
dumb generally though. I don't remember gen 1 doing all but a 30 cm strip of a room and then leaving it until later just because it's that tiny bit beyond the cleaning segment it's broken the house up into. Maybe I'm remembering incorrectly. I wish it were a bit quieter although it's similar to other vacuums. My only other issue is that the app doesn't load the map quite often (it gets stuck at loading) I have to force close and re-open the app multiple times. The mop function works well for me. It esentially drags a damp cloth over the fllors but I just come behind it when it's done with an old towel under my feet to dry and wipe the floor easily in one motion. I find it easier than anything else.Purchased in August 2021 for $423.00.

Very easy to use. Works very well. It has gotten lost once or twice, but not often. It does a very good job. Saves me time and money. Well worth’s the money I paid direct to Roborock Australia.

Smart and reliable
This is quite an intelligent and reliable vacuum bot. We have been using it for about half year and it made our life easier. The only drawback could be the constant noise from the engine, that’s why we use it while we are not at home and monitor by the application in our mobile, easy!

This is the best piece of kit in the house we have ever bought - but it has only lasted 6 months!
After exactly 9 months of amazing twice daily cleans, we encountered a burning smell and a weird noise coming from the cleaner. I opened up the entire machine because after checking ebay it seems like its a common problem - its the Fan unit.
So to get to the fan unit you basically have to take the entire cleaner apart...i mean every single piece. Takes about an hour, not too complex actually.
I opened up the fan unit and I can see why it doesn't last...the top of the internal fan is plastic, and it grinds on the top of the internal fan case, ...Read more

Genie in the house
Sceptical yes, however glowing positive reviews on this web site convinced me to purchase this robotic vacuum cleaner. Wow, an intuitive machine that can be run through an app or Google home and maps your home as it goes intelligently scanning and working each room and systematically covering it. You can set the vacuum to run at a particular time, plus you can save maps and send the vacuum cleaner to a particular spot or room in the house. Works incredibly well on wooden floors, floating laminate floors and large rugs. Easy to empty and maintain, saves time and effort.

Great product and ease of use
This product is excellent. It is great at vacuuming animal hair and fine particles on carpet and hardwood floors. Also has a great mopping function that is works well. The mapping function is accurate and I can schedule cleaning and modes via the Xiaomi app.

Great Robovac without Burning a hole in your pocket
I will try to be as factual as possible with this review and hope it offers some insight to potential buyers :
Here goes :
The Pros...
1) Gets the job done - has a sensor and manages to "try" and clean every corner of the house, be it carpet or wood flooring
2) Wireless - I love the wireless charging and the automated robot voice and informs you that "it's charging"
3) Cleaning Suction - The suction is strong enough to compare it to Dyson vacuum cleaners so quite impressive for a robovac
4)App - App provides an overview on the area cleaned/covered, very handy
The Cons...
1) Noisy - noisy vacuum but so is my other vacuum cleaners hence understandable...Read more

Has anyone else ever had issues with remembering the map when it drops down to 20% battery. Mine only 2 weeks old keeps losing the map when I set timer to start or it drops to 20% battery and loses where it is. I have put in a warranty claim and have to send it back. But I am interested if anyone else has the same problem. Yes I have the Map saving option on.

No I have had my vacuum for a year now that hasn’t happened only once it got confused and lost the map after an update to firmware. After I reset everything to default and started again I’ve had no issues. That was roughly 3 months ago
