Still learning but why have I got wheel tracks after washing my floor?
I have only had my Braava Jet 240 for a few days and therefore still on a training run even so the instructions say I can use my Braava to wash the floor while it learns. I followed the instructions for putting the reusable pad on and filling the dispenser with the correct amount of cleaner (that came with the machine) and water as described. The coverage of the floor cleaned seemed to be pretty good given it is still learning but I am left with wheel tracks everywhere it's been. I don't think this is the way it should work! What am I doing wrong?
Purchased in January 2021.

Good little cleaner - too small for our townhouse though
We have a large 3 bedroom townhouse with four people and three dogs so as you can imagine the floors get dirty QUICKLY!
I have a little Roomba which vacuums for me everyday just as maintenance, collecting general dust & dog hair. I love it.
I saw the Braava 240 and thought FANTASTIC! Something to follow up after the Roomba has done its run around with some mop magic.
When it arrived I was very excited. However, it ended up being far too small for our large floorboarded area downstairs, so I upgraded to the larger iRobot Braava 380T Floor M...Read more
opping Robot instead which is much more suited to our larger space. Back to the 240 though. Pros: * Effectively cleans a small area like the kitchen by squirting the water out in front, then running over it with its different mop pads. It does quite a good job of doing a general maintenance scrub to get rid of the dog footprints etc. * Would be really effective in a small apartment

Good Afternoon Clare
Thank you for reviewing the Braava 240. Though this model was not suitable for your home. We are happy to hear the larger Braava 380 was better for you.
Kind regards iRobot

‘Wet Mode’ is OK for small rooms and 'Damp Mode' works well on larger areas, especially timber floor
Wet mode :
When moping a tiled area of 5 sqm in ‘Wet Mode’ (31 mins) it left streak marks / smudges. Moping the same area in ‘Damp Mode’ does not leave streak marks / smudges (5 sqm in ‘damp mode’ took 25 mins). In and around the grout groves, both methods leave some dirt behind. It appears that once the pad is very wet, it just pushes the dirty water around and it leaves streak marks/smudges.
In my opinion ‘Wet Mode’ works well on small rooms less than 5 sqm, like the Bathroom or Laundry but for larger areas it starts leaving streak marks ...Read more
/ smudges. Damp mode : When moping the timber floor in my kitchen (12 sqm) in ‘Damp Mode’, it appears to clean the area quite well and it does not appear to leave any streak marks / smudges. The pad is very dirty after doing 12 sqm, so I change the pad before doing another area. I also refill the water tank. Other: The reusable pads are better value than the disposable.1 comment

Small, silent, hardworker who never complains!
As I type this review the Jet 240 is cleaning the tiled floors and doing a great job. Having several rugs in various areas I wondered if it would ride up and 'mop' the rugs, but it senses the lowest pile rug and backs/turns away. Of course, the longer pile rugs weren't a concern. The week prior to buying this unit I made sure not to mop the floors, just let Roomba vacuum, that way I could really test the little Braava, and it didn't disappoint. I think being small is a huge advantage, because it gets into corners/behind furniture/etc and ev...Read more
ery inch is mopped. I also love how quiet it is too. It's perfect in the bathrooms, and due to it's small size it cleans around the toilets quite easily. For the first clean I used the blue/wet mop pads but since then have been using the orange/damp pads and will continue to use the orange unless there is a spill or similar to make the floors really dirty. The reusable pads are good value and very sturdy as I've used the same orange pad around half a dozen times now and just wash it after use, let it dry and use it again next time. Almost forgot the recharger...while I haven't timed it, a full recharge is quite quick and I love the (physically) small battery and that the charger just plugs into a power point. Battery charge is more than enough to mop two living areas, kitchen, laundry and two bathrooms on one charge. My routine now is to start Roomba in the carpeted bedrooms and hallway, then Braava on the tiled floors in the living area etc, all while the washing machine is cleaning the clothes.....now I just need a robot to hang the clothes on the clothesline!! Hope the love affair with Braava continues as it saves a lot of time so I can do something other than mopping floors! Size does matter and this small package proves it can look cute 'and' do a fantastic job as well.1 comment

The best machine I own
Don't tell Roomba, but Braava is my favourite. I actually have the black one which I believe has a slightly larger water tank. It mops so well, can also sweep and take wet wipes as well. It's so quiet too. I loathe mopping and now my floors are always clean. I never care anymore if the floors get dirty - there is so little effort required to get them clean!

Purchased in February and by June it doesn’t work
Purchased in February 2018 and by June my iRobot Braava Jet 240 no longer did anything but ‘turn on’. Basically rendered useless. When I contacted IXL Home they said that I had to pay $127.00 excluding GST to have the unit serviced. I would have expected it to last more than 4 months but sadly not. I recommend not buying his product.

Can't live without it - LOVE IT
I have never liked mopping so when I saw this, I had to try it. It works! You are also able to scheduled via your phone which is super convenient. We have the reusable pads. Simply fill with water, pop on the pad and click the button or schedule it to clean from your iphone when you leave the house! It's a great time saver and does not leave streaks and spots on our tiles, which is awesome. The battery life will not be long enough to complete an entire house with tiles etc. It is meant for smaller spaces, bathrooms, kitchen etc and certainly can clean those well as it sprays then vibrates/scrubs.

So great. I mop every night now!
This little machine is absolutely worth it's weight in gold. I have two kids aged 1 and 4. The floor gets messy! So mopping every night is necessary. This little machine does it for me and I can go to bed. It's quiet.
I have a pretty bad skin allergy so I bought a reusable pad off eBay and just put it in the washing machine. It works perfectly with a bit of cream cleanser. No need to buy the expensive disposable pads - the environment and your pocket both benefit.
I have had it a year now and I seriously can't imagine life without it.

Machine is 5*. Cost of disposable pads 1*.
I have both the Braava 380t and Braava Jet 240. Both devices are super effective.
However you should quickly dispell the 240 as an option. In Australia disposable pads are $25 for just 10 pads. In US those same pads. $7.99. Considering in my house I'd need to use 2/3 each time and I'd like to clean 2/3 times per week it's simply a crazy expectation. Yes there are reusable pads but in that case the 380 is a much stronger option. It's a shame, if Irobot had more foresight they could have this machine become quite a little passive revenue stream.

Hi, why was the iRobot Scooba® 450 Floor Scrubbing Robot discontinued? Is a new model coming out soon? I have never used one but it sounds great!
1 answer
Teghan R.iRobot
HI Elizabeth,
I am not a 100% sure of the exact reason the Scooba was discontinued as this happen prior to our company taking on the brand in 2016.
iRobot have since launch the Braava 380T and Braava 240 as the replacements, however these are for mopping and sweeping only. Please visit our website www.irobot,com for more information.

On the App you will find the option to change the spray level of the Braava, This may help as the floor and washable pad may not get too wet resulting in the wheel marks. Kind regards iRobotThank you for taking the time to review the Braava Jet M6.
