Hi, I have zodiac cx35.... the impeller starts for about 3 seconds and stops. Does this 3 times. There isn’t anything stuck in it.. I think the gearbox electric motor has stopped working as the unit would be 3-4 years old. Where can I buy one of these?

Apparently a common problem, we had the same thing, needed to have a new motor block & it was only a couple of years old, not covered by any warranty & expensive to have repaired. Couldn’t get any feedback etc from them, it was a pay for a quote & this is the repair cost, take it or leave it. Lousy customer service & not a good value for money product.
Yeah I am 90% sure it’s the gearbox electric motor. The whole block is $400 plus installation. Might just buy a new one or a dolphin.

Bought a CX35 about 3 years ago and recently the wheels and tread won't go by itself.
It still turns on fine, makes noise like it's on, the blowhole at the top still blows out water at the proper set intervals, it just won't move.
I am resorting to pulling it up each time, manually turning and fiddling with the wheels and tread, sometimes, this works and the wheels would automatically start going again and I would let it drop back down to the bottom of the pool. Many times, after the intervals, the wheels won't spin again.
Any suggestions on the problem?

Just had the same with ours that is under 3 years old, had to have a new motor block & cable which took a month for them to fix at over $500 NZ. This is apparently a very common problem with them. Very disappointed, would have expected longer life than that.
That's disappointing to hear, what did you use in that month while waiting? Bought a temporary kreepy?

I have a CX35 which has been working well for 3 1/2 years. An error message advised me to check the wheels which are jammed. I have removed the tracks and brushes and I am not able to turn the driving wheels by hand. Any suggestions on action I can take please.

Hi there CS, I have had the CX35 for just over 12 months, the cleaning is pretty good, the only problem I have is that it will only go in one direction now, and will continue to keep climbing in one spot and not going ion the other direction. Is this controlled by the box or the robot unit itself?

hi can you guarantee that your cleaner will pick up the red fine dust with your 100micron filter
1 answer
I have found the finer filter to be most effective against the dust in Sydney at the moment.
The coarser filter picks up some but the rest gets through and redistributed.
The finer filter is worth purchasing

What is the difference between the 35 and the 55 I have a fibreglass pool about 10 m long
1 answer
The CX35 has the ability to climb the walls. I have the CX35 and it is wonderful. I also selected it because it has the longest cord. We also have a fiberglass pol which is 11 m long.

Have been using CX35 for approx 3 months. No problems with performance. Today the unit stopped - Cleaner Error Indicator. Trouble shooting says to check the power cord at the unit, this was OK. Said to also check if any debris etc was caught up in the drive and suction units. These appear OK but the drive wheels do not turn freely as suggested. Any other areas I should check before contacting Zodiac?
Thanks Mick

I have recently purchased a CX35, it works well, except even with the finer 100 Micron filter, I have dirt/dust that goes straight through the machine. Can I get a finer filter, I realise it would impact the ability of the unit to do the walls, but at least it would clean the floor better. Otherwise I am back to vacuuming, and the cleaner was a waste of money.

I am considering a Cx35. I have a concrete pool with coarse surface and a single down of tiles at the top of the pool. Do I need special soft tile brush or is that only for a fully tiled pool?

I have a pool 10 meters by 5 meters is this able to clean all the pool and will the cord get tangled at anytime
1 answer
Yes my pool is 12m x 3m and there is plenty of slack left on the cord. The cord sometimes gets a bit tangled but doesnt stop the machine from working. If you leave the cord in the sun it irons out all the kinks.

Hi can the zodiac cx35 be left in pool when not running? thanks for your assistance
2 answers
Hi there, I am not sure how long you can leave it underwater. I sometimes leave it overnight but I wouldn’t suggest leaving it for extended periods of time. You also need to clean out the leaves after each go.
Customer C.Zodiac
Hi, It is suggested that you take the Unit out of the water after each cycle. Rinsing also is recommended. Cleaning out the Canister as mentioned by Ben. If you go on Holidays you can leave it in the water but you must ensure your water chemistry is correct also. Please call us on 1300 763 021 if you need any further help. Thanks.
