Poor customer service experience
My wife purchased her bike at 99 bikes years ago, so went back when she wanted a kids seat for our baby to ride with her. After showing a staff member photos of her bike, she was sold the wrong model rack for her bike, which didnt fit. I took it back and exchanged it for another model. I still couldn't get it to fit after following the instructions, so took it back again. After waiting 25mins to see a staff member, I was told that "they fit every bike". staff member actually suggested trying using one fastener instead of two (as per the instructions) on the under seat brackets to increase their effective length. I was then directed around to the mechanic, who was also quite dismissive "you just have to try different combinations of brackets to get it to fit, good luck". His tone was condescending. I ended up getting the baby seat rack to fit the bike only after using a combination of parts that went against what the instrruction booklet said (the mechanic's suggestion). Exorbitant and unwanted
This mob saw me coming. Took a tyre in for a tube and fit which I could've and should've done now that I think of it. Tube cost over $10 more than $2 than elsewhere, fitting was $10 for a two minute job and then he enrolled me in club membership without my consent or desire for another $4. $24 all up for a tube and fit. Now you now, do as you will but for me I won't be back.

Apalling after sales service
Purchased a bike from 99 Bikes Chermside, the sales service was excellent. There is an on going problem with the bike that I purchased. I have written numerous emails most of which have been ignored. I have had the bike back to them twice and they have not been capable of fixing the bike. So much for their "we will replace the product if you are not happy". They have not been able to fix the problem nor are they willing to refund or replace. I think it is time to go to ACCC to get a result.

To update my review, I communicated with the store again and they have agreed to exchange the bike and suggested i get one with upgraded components. I am happy with this option and they are now being more helpful.
