Let me say at the start that i am not technician.
Just a satisfied customer.
May i suggest that:
1. Controller may need replacing
2. Loose connection between contoller and zone valve.
3. Faulty zone valve.
You will need a tecnichian to work this out.

the instruction booklet should have an answer otherwise you should be able to download a manual from the manufacturers site. Also ring Actron.

I am thinking of installing an 18.5 kw actron air ducted heat pump into an old house with 10 foot celiings. Its about 18 squares. Any comments on reliability in cold weather? I would appreciate it. I live in Tasmania and running costs- thanks

Hi John. We hardly use the heat cycle living in Townsville so I couldn't really answer this confidently. We have found with air con side that the more zones the better otherwise if we have too many rooms on one zone it struggles to keep them all at set temp. We would also think more seriously about where we put the vents . Too close to wall doesn't disperse as well, too far in the middle of a large room doesn't work either so two is better. I would get some opinions. The problems we had with action were their service in warranty. It was awful, promises not kept and time frames ridiculous. We waited two months to get our system all up and running during Townsville summer. If I am honest I would never have ducting again. Hope this helps you move a little bit forward. Regards

We have an Actron Air Esp discredited system. Biggest issue is that it doesn't heat house in low temps.. Less than 7 degrees. I was told an inverter is the better option under these circumstances. I'd agree! Our soft starter has blown and our unit is 6 years old. Actron Air service desk wasn't very helpful and it was hard to find someone who would come to a rural area to even look at it.. Now I'm facing a $2,000 fix!!

I am getting quotes for refrigerated air con with approx 14 outlets. I was told a actron esp + 18.5 kW with two zoned areas are good.
Any ideas what I should pay for that or should I look at another brand

Hi mate, after 4 years off constant breakdowns, slow service and bandage solutions which are designed to bring the unit through the warranty period to be fixed properly at my expense after I would suggest to stay away altogether from Actron.

Thanks for the heads up.

hi, I am a refrig/a/c tech. worked mainly commercial equipment.did install both actron air and accent air in friends and my last house.correctly sized and installed it ran a treat on melbournes hot 40 degree hot days.my last house was 45 squares and had 2 units.both 3 phase power.didital scroll. I have worked on other brands etc.seen broken internal pipes, communication errors/board failures on inverters. I would always buy 3 phase unit over single phase and upgrade the meter box.you end up with a better reliable unit in the long term.also make sure installers use correct methods for installation.
