Am I covered when driving my 2nd car? Have had roadside in the past where I am the member not the car, so even covered when a passenger in somebody else’s car. Never seen that in Australia though.

Hi I have just received a letter dated 13 July 2018 saying my road side assist needs renewing and ran out on 3 6 18, I thought with having car insurance with yourselves (CC! Insurance) that roadside assist came with it ? maybe it was just for the first year?, I was with RACV for many many years - and only dropped them cause with you it was free, I have not had to call on Allianz so I still have not experienced your service, got to say I have never seen any of your cars, but I do see the RACV ones all the time, Allianz's reviews are bad, I think if I have to pay I will go back to RACV - though I guess the thing that had me really thinking is that it has taken 5 weeks for your company to tell me I am not covered, thats a bit slow and not giving me a lot of confidence. Can someone please confirm that representatives being sent out to work on our cars have to be fully qualified mechanics? I would hate to think that with your insurance partnerships, dealing with brand new vehicles worth well over $80000 that having someone not qualified to handle the car could possibly void warranty.

What are the branded Allianz batteries like??

Allianz use batteries from Enirgi or Supercharge. Both brands are reputable especially Supercharge. Beware however, as several vans across Sydney have been found using unauthorised batteries with an Allianz sticker on it. This is a way for them to save money on battery wholesale price and increase internal profits. You are best to make sure that you see a brand and receive an invoice for your warranty.

How long should I wait on the phone for customer service before I decide that it would be safer to leave my broken down car and get a taxi home? There is no way of knowing if someone will answer my call in 5 minutes or 5 hours. Is there anything you can do to rectify this issue?

Can you advise what qualification credential your mechanics hold to assist in roadside assistance? And would they carry some form of identifications and issue any form of statement for each visit?

Hi Lee. Roadside technicians do not have to be qualified mechanics, however most of our providers are either mechanics or auto electricians. Our Rapid Response Units carry ID, however not all providers do. The provider will supply a referral docket or an indemnity form for all incidents. Cheers, Anthony.
