This is the one of the best investments I have made. I love it and would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants that extra security.
I love the piece of mind the alarm brings, you can turn it down low so it doesn't give you a heart attack when you forget to switch it off! The monitor is great when we are downstairs at night & you can turn it right up if you want to listen over TV & right down when you go to sleep so it only wakes you when you need it to! Baby is very quiet baby & hardly cries (lucky me)so this stopped me being over anxious...Read more
& going in to his room all the time in the early days. I chose this brand as it had the sensor and monitor in one, easy to use, plenty of settings to suit. Nothing really! I only had one false alarm in 5 months when baby rolled to top of cot but I'd rather that than no alarm, it made me even more secure knowing it worked!

We bought this unit, because our son was premature and we wanted a bit more peace of mind. I can see myself using this when he is first moved into a toddler bed, because the alarm will sound when he gets out. There is a lead running from the sensor pads under the mattress to the monitor (They need to be at least 38cm apart), so you need to be careful as this could be a strangulation risk. I would recommend the unit. You may need to play around with the sensitivity to get the balance right. Too sensitive and it will pick up other movement in the...Read more
room and not enough sensitivity and your child's breathing will not be detected. A little bit more peace of mind. Alarm often sounds when baby has wriggled off into the corner of the cot and is no longer over the pads. The temperature display is often inaccurate.Similar opinion? This is a fabulous product that gives great peace of mind and peaceful sleep for the parents. I will continue to use this product for the first year of my babies life. Yes, it does pick up a house hold fan, but as far as i know there is not a product out there that doesn't. You just have to be aware of it and test your environment before you use this product.
We have had no false alarms & I can sleep well knowing that if (God forbid) my baby stopped breathing that the alarm would sound. I like that if i accidentally forget to turn off the a...Read more

Excellent product, really gave us peace of mind early on to know that our baby was ok at night (they can be very quiet!). Never have had any false alarms and good to know the temperature in their room with our hot summers. Great having 2 units while working around the house. This product is worth every cent!
Movement sensor pads, rechargable parent units with docking station, battery backup, night light, room temperature, voice activation (i.e. no hissing continuously), good wireless range, plenty of features with sound/vibrate/temperature/out of range etc. which all can be turned on or off.
None so far!

I didn't think that we needed a baby monitor, but so glad my husband insisted on it. We live on acreage and the reception goes further than I would care to leave my baby. I can go outside and work with peace of mind that my baby is safe. I quickly turned off the temperature alarm, but good to have the temperature on the monitor so I can adjust if necessary. Easy to adjust sensitivity too. Great product. Well worth the money we paid. Definately suggest getting two monitors, just in case one gets broken.

Overall I think this baby monitor is very good quality. It has many features and it's good how it detects breathing as well as sound.
I like how the parent unit displays the temperature in the baby's room. Having a second parent unit has come in handy. We keep it in our rumpus room for when we watch a loud movie so we can hear our little boy cry. Also, you can adjust the decibel level so the monitor doesn't switch on just for a little whimper.
This baby monitor was the most expensive one in the shop but the breathing detection pads give us some peace of mind when our baby's asleep. When my baby cries and the parent unit switches on in the middle of the night, it gives you a big fright!

Bad
I returned it to the shop after 2 days as I wanted a movement monitor, not just a sound monitor
Sound monitor was good, liked the option to have it activate after a certain level of noise so I didn't have to listen to everything as my baby is a noisey sleeper
Picked up the fan as movement (even on the lowest sensitivity) and told me the baby was breathing when he wasn't even in the cot, this meant the movement monitor part was completely useless.

I love this monitor. It gives you a great peace of mind knowing the motion sensor is on. I love the sound activation also as it means I can have the parent unit on my bedside table and not have to listen to the babies every noise. The temperature gauge is helpful when dressing baby for bed also. I have had a few false alarms with the motion sensor, but only when bubs was very small and had wriggled awa fromt he middle of the bed.
The parent unit display is a bit bright though. I put mine in my ensuite and can still hear everything clearly, even on the lowest volume.
Sound activated monitor and motion sensor
Price. Parent unit too bright

A great quality monitor which is fully featured well worth the money for the peace of mind it provides. I would deffinately buy this one again over any other monitor on the market.
I love the peace of mind that the sensor pads give me, I sleep better since we got it! Having two hand units is great, I don't have to move them very often. Sound is very clear, no interference. Love the temp display and the night light features. Batery back up is also a really great feature a few of my mum freinds have comented that they don't have this which is s problem if the power goes off in a storm. Living in the tropics this does happen!
Its expensive!

Mine came with 2 sensor pads and monitors. We never actually ended up using the sensor pads but I was happy to have them if bub condition that may have required them. I love having the 2 monitors, not having to remember to bring it with you wherever you go is great. The range on them is excellent when I take it out of the house. The volume on them can be adjusted, so having the two means I can always hear the monitor wherever I am around the house. Can also set it to hear continuous noise in the Nursery or just when baby makes noise. Very happy...Read more
with purchase. Peace of mind. Parent Monitor is battery powered but recharges in cradle which runs of power. I move the monitor into another room during the day and have never had less that half battery symbol by the time I put it back at night. Nursery unit has AC Adapter so never worried about battery life at night. Night light is great - has the right about of light. Displays temperature of room on monitors. Rarely have any sound interference. Excellent range. Price Temperature setting - I also have a Grobag Egg and the monitor reading is always 2 degrees less that the Egg.Similar opinion? It's been a very easy to use product which has provided us with reassurance that was well worth the initial investment. I would definitely recommend it to parents that are nervous about SIDS or want to hear baby when in bed. I think the cost was very reasonable considering the quality of product and features you get.
Great product for peace of mind. The monitor is adaptable so that we have used the different features as our bub has grown. When we first brought it home and were nervous parents it gave us peace of mind. the sensor ticking so...Read more

We purchased this item as my husband has a history of SIDS in his family. It has given us a huge peace of mind when we are sleeping or out of the room. Safety is a huge priority for us and feel that the money was well worth it. We have had no problems with it at all, find the range with it is good and no static/cross-overs with reception. Its easy to use and portable so if you go away, it can travel with you. We wouldn't be without it!

In my opinion this is one of the best things that I have purchase for my daughter. Not only is it piece of mind for me as a parent, but I didn't feel safe in letting her sleep in her cot in her own room without it. My daughter used to sleep in my room in her bassinet and she used to wake my husband up when she woke for her feeds. Now with the monitor, he doesn't hear her and I go to her straight away without waking him. We have a small place, but I still use this monitor during the day. I can close her door and let her sleep in piece without me...Read more
going in and checking up on her every 5 minutes. Also with the temp I can see if it's to hot or cold in the nursery and alter things to make her comfortable. The range on this thing is outstanding!! While my daughter was in her cot happily talking away I walked outside the front door and down the street (8 houses away) and I could still hear her as if i was in the next room, the reception is incredible. I would recommend this monitor to any parent, a must have. parent unit comes with rechargeable batteries and a cradle to recharge, so you can take this everywhere with you. Digital display with lots of features such as: nursery temp, out of range, alarm (with vibrate), alarm when it gets to cold and hot inside the nursery (which you can set the temp) Nursery unit halo lights up and you also have the option to hear everything in the nursery or just when she cries - very smart. The nursery unit doesn't come with backup batteries. The cost, it's not a cheap item.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Questions & Answers
Garethasked
Angelcare movement monitor states " senses movement". Does this movement include breathing? Might sound like a silly question but if you have a new born and they are fast asleep then they won't be moving as in wriggling around. Want to clarify if the " movement" covers breathing in and out?
Thanks

It covers movement. If baby is in bassinet their breathing is picked up as movement (as I used it from newborn with all mine in a bassinet and it worked - not sure about cot as the mattress is thicker and baby at newborn is small) however if baby is not breathing but having a seizure of something it won't pick up that the baby needs help as baby is moving. I think there is one company that have a sock that works as a heart rate monitor so alarms will go off if baby isn't breathing. Hope this helped
Valiant B.Angelcare
Hi Gareth.
Thank you for your enquiry.
The Angelcare sensor pad senses all movement in the cot, including your baby's breathing.
Hope this helps.

Hi. Can a AC601 monitor work with the AC401? I have tried to link up the AC401 sensor pad with the AC601 monitor, but it doesn't appear to be compatible. Please advise?

can we use Angelcare sound and movement monitor for 7 years old kid?

Valiant B.Angelcare
Angelcare recommends their movement monitor be used for up to 2 years of age. After this time the monitor may false alarm as the child is older than the recommended age.
