Works as it should but wait !
So the item works fine, not fast or slow, just another computer, albeit costing more than the equivalent power windows notebooks. But I learned today the SSD is vulnerable to breaking down. Mass Recall !
My other macbook pro had a cracked screen because it had a sheet of paper in it when it was closed once. That cost 700 dollars to replace. Seems the screens are very fragile along with the SSD.
Giving it one star because of above

Excellent product, however quite overpriced!
I have been a mac user for years, so buying another macbook was a simple decision. This laptop is definitely a step-up from the previous macbook pro with retina display from previous years. It took a little while to get used to the thin keyboard, however now I actually think it is easier to type on. My complaint is that this product is far too expensive for the components it has.

Apple is not cheap but always reliable
I bought this second-hand MacBook pro retina screen in may 2018. as I have really good experience with apple, this laptop never let me disappointed. Thin body and good structural design, it is still one of the best-looking laptops in 2018. Additionally, the performance of the MacBook still remains at a really good level as well as the battery. I would highly recommend to everyone who has been tired of Windows!

I honestly can't fault this
Purchased this in December 2017 after being fed up with my slow Lenovo Windows laptop. Yes, it's price is hard to swallow, but it's made up for in performance, design, build quality and of course, the software. If you are in the Apple ecosystem, the MBP will be a no-brainer! Even without owning other Apple products (at the time of purchase), this was still on my 'to buy' list. Some would say that I should've coughed up for the Touch Bar, but I think it's unnecessary (base model is fine). One thing to note is it doesn't have your traditional por...Read more
ts- instead the base model comes with 2 Thunderbolt 3 (USB C type) ports, which you'll need an adapter for if you want to plug basically anything in. This is something I'm willing to deal with though as the MacBook Pro is a great, reliable laptop capable of achieving what I want to achieve. I would consider myself to be somewhat impatient when it comes to load times- and I can testify that that isn't an issue with this laptop. Everything loads in an instant- it will most certainly outperform any Windows laptop you've probably owned. Boot times are also excellent thanks to its fast SSD (which comes in configurations of 128, 256, 512GB or 1TB). Overall, this is a great laptop I'd recommend in a heartbeat!Similar opinion? Three weeks old keyboard is broken and the battery does not last.
Every word I am writing I must stop to press the touch bar. If I do notdothisthisiswhat happens. Sometimes ifseflcorrects itself and other times itdoesnot. As You Can SEE here. Plus the battery simply does not last the day as promised. Apple a once quality company sadly no more. Plus they have changed the input to their Plugs

Crashed after 3 months
Bought this Mac Pro for my daughter for her uni and it crashed after 3 months during her exams week. She has to wait for 5 working days before it will be fixed even with warranty and apple care on it. we end up buying another laptop to get to her exams week. NEVER AGAIN

By far the best current design
The screen might not be 4k but the resolution is outstanding 2k is enough for a 13 inch screen, the keyboard feels solid can’t find a better one to compare the model I bought is customise with 16 Gb of Ram so the performance is impressive, it helps the apple apfs file system inside MacOs so the interface in my opinion is flawless, so light so compact I can’t find anything to whinge about I’m not a big fan of the usb type C but apparently is the future quite tiny for such capabilities, I’ve been working with Apple since 2000 I cannot expected less than this minimalistic and still powerful machine.

So far so good
I got the new MacBook Pro before travelling europe. I have had it for about a year and a half and haven't had any issues with it yet. It was the perfect size for travelling as the computer easily fit in my bag and came out of 6 months of travelling unscathed. My only issue is sometimes if you are running large games it can slow down a little, but nothing too bad.

Still running very well.
I bought the MacBook Pro 13" with retina display with the 258GB HDD and 8GB RAM in around June 2015, although it's not much, I mainly got it just for university lectures and such and having finished studies, it still works very well and runs quite quickly, I have not had any problems so far considering that this thing is now 3 years old. I don't keep much files because I tend to completely delete files or softwares that I know that I won't be using any longer so the 256GB HDD does not really concern me as everything is on the cloud these days o...Read more
r you can get big TB external hard drives. The quality of this laptop is definitely wonderful, it's solid and very modern and that's what apple holds it's reputation for which is fantastic. The price is definitely quite high compared to other laptops but I feel that it is definitely worth it. The picture quality is perfect, I really am not complaining when I stream my TV shows/movies on the laptop even when the quality is only 720p. I do recommend Macs as they are genuinely good quality. Before this model, I had bought the 2009 model MacBook Pro and that was very strong as well and lasted me a good 5 years and then sold it to someone and they claimed that it went on for another 3 years totalling 8 years of it going so strong! Apple is always a go-to product, the Mac OS is definitely much more user friendly and convenient, I most likely wouldn't go to windows.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Great laptop. Still going strong
Great laptop still going strong without any issue. I had a previous year model and had a charging issue. So took it for repair and they repaired but did something wrong with the repair so I could not sign in. So they gave me a new laptop!. So I actually got a laptop for 8 months for free. I purchased extended warranty as well.
Apple products are expensive. But they are worth the money and Apple care is worth every penny.

Great laptop
A little pricey but a great laptop to use. Decided to upgrade from the 2008 Macbook to this and I still feel at home using it. I use this a lot for browsing and reading and works great. Battery lasts fine and the fans don't make much noise at all.

Good, light, versatile
A great little laptop. I bought a monitor for big display when using at home. The computer is excellent. It was really easy to switch everything over from my old MacBook - intuitive and easy to use. The touch bar is a nice addition - good for all sorts of applications.

Great laptop
This is a great laptop! I would recommend buying it. It is a bit expensive, but it's the best looking laptop. The good things about it include: Retina display, the soft feel of the keyboard and it's quick. Bad things that I have found include: it gets hot on my lap when watching videos and the battery drains pretty quickly.

Reliable laptop that last a long time
Was looking for a replacement for my old broken MacBook which has lasted me for 5 years. This laptop is perfect for my use of browsing, watching movie and occasional video editing. It integrates very well with my iPhone, making my workflow very seamless. Battery lasts for 6 hours or so on normal use. Laptop also very light so it is easy to carry around.
The only complain I have is the lack of ports (only USB-C port), but a small price to pay for portability.

Probably doesn't stand up to the macbooks of old, but still effective.
It's a nice laptop, but pricey. And for the price it doesn't exactly include top of the line specs. That being said, you can hunt down a bargain for one of these guys. I remember getting an air 13" in 2013 and it was actually better value than most any windows ultrabook out there when you were considering weight/size, battery life - which are probably the most key factors to an ultrabook. I find that this machine is heavier despite not really having an upgrade in hardware (i5 on both, no dedicated GPU), but it does feel a bit more solid. The sc...Read more
reen is definitely better with the retina, but it is at the cost of the battery life. The keyboard is amazing when it works, but if something gets stuck under it can jam it really easily, so best to get a cover. Still, at the end of the day, it works nice - and nice for those used to macs. Warranty/servicing is also much better compared to windows PCs.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Claim water damage and won’t fix
My trackpad stopped working and apple claimed the laptop was waterdamaged. Literally impossible as it’s a work computer that sits up on a bench. So annoyed. These things cost so much money and to not have it fixed even though it’s in warranty is so poor I believe. Everything else works fine so can’t understand how it’s much after damage

Satisfied
More fashion than the original MacBook occupied Air use a lot, especially the new version of Lion 10.7, the radiating heat discharge more easily than the old one, excellent workmanship and gorgeous body design, the hardware configuration is also very awesome. The aluminium body has a very good texture, the screen does not say, the feel of the first class.

Prefer the Air and it’s less
So I own both the air and MacBook Pro and love both but honestly the air is still fine and costs $500 less. Ideally Apple will release an upgraded air that’s even thinner and lighter again, but don’t feel you need the pro just because it’s newer and more powerful (the air can still do everyday tasks with ease and style!). Having made that point, the Pro is as you would expect a fine laptop with gorgeous display and I love using it. Downsides to be aware of are the USB C ports need an adaptor (but there are some for just a few $ online) and the keys are a bit more tappy sounding than the air.

Decent Laptop
Decent laptop. Served me well for the past 3 years, so I would say that it has been fairly robust. Only complaint would be that my model was one of the ones that the screen started peeling off. Otherwise, this is a laptop without many issues that runs quite well.

Great laptop
This laptop does have a high price tag but everything about this computer is perfect and seamless. The battery life will last a long time and its compact size and durability makes it easy to travel with. This is a great student laptop. I used to own a windows laptop but it was slow and always had viruses. I have never had any hiccups from this laptop and it is absolutely worth it. The build quality is great and the new butterfly keys on the keyboard are great to type on. The new space grey colour is beautiful and stands out to the other apple l...Read more
