Prefer the Air and it’s less
So I own both the air and MacBook Pro and love both but honestly the air is still fine and costs $500 less. Ideally Apple will release an upgraded air that’s even thinner and lighter again, but don’t feel you need the pro just because it’s newer and more powerful (the air can still do everyday tasks with ease and style!). Having made that point, the Pro is as you would expect a fine laptop with gorgeous display and I love using it. Downsides to be aware of are the USB C ports need an adaptor (but there are some for just a few $ online) and the keys are a bit more tappy sounding than the air.

Decent Laptop
Decent laptop. Served me well for the past 3 years, so I would say that it has been fairly robust. Only complaint would be that my model was one of the ones that the screen started peeling off. Otherwise, this is a laptop without many issues that runs quite well.

Great laptop
This laptop does have a high price tag but everything about this computer is perfect and seamless. The battery life will last a long time and its compact size and durability makes it easy to travel with. This is a great student laptop. I used to own a windows laptop but it was slow and always had viruses. I have never had any hiccups from this laptop and it is absolutely worth it. The build quality is great and the new butterfly keys on the keyboard are great to type on. The new space grey colour is beautiful and stands out to the other apple l...Read more
aptops. One feature I love is the touch bar. It makes things easier like changing the tab on your web browser, changing and pausing a song through iTunes, using the brightness and sound scroll to change the settings. Overall it is a great laptop.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Doesn't get better than this.
Forget PCs that die after 3 years, this is a beast. I think one of the main things that distinguishes Apple from PCs for me is the build quality. Absolutely top of the range. This model of Macbook Pro is by far my favourite because it has HDMI direct in (no silly adapters required), plus and SD card reader, 2 usb ports and 2 thunderbolts ports. Plus the ingenius MagSafe power connector - literally tripped over this cable yesterday and yet again saved my laptop from flying off the dinner table.

Amazing Laptop.
The best laptop I've ever owned. Did everything I wanted and never once had a problem with it. Couldn't fault it. Got a Mac after I was sick of my windows computer not responding. Never ever had this problem with my Mac. It never froze or crashed. I used it for advanced tasks like video editing, office & gaming and never had a problem. Unlike windows laptops these don't slow down after a few years. Mine ran as fast as it did the day I got it 4 years later.

Honestly can't fault it
Everything about this computer is perfect! I need a computer that is reliable, light (as I'll be using it to complete my law degree in which entails travel) and fast. The MacBook Pro does not fall short of these expectations. Apple has excelled yet again! To complement Apple's outstanding products, the customer service is stellar as well!

Excellent look but not worth it
It's my first Apple computer. After I feel fully disappointing with windows system, I bought this mac for my subjects at school. It has a really big track pad which is very convenience and the screen and touch bar is great when i see video and typing. But no usb access is really annoying.

Waste of money!!!!!
I hate this computer! I use it for programming and it started to freeze the screen, most of the times the fan is way too noisy and superhot! I just closed my mac on the night before and when I tried to turn it on this morning was a nightmare. I’m for one hour now waiting for this machine that is not even turning on, it is cooling down the heat and does not turn on! How come a pretty new computer does not turn on???
The worst money I spent in my life. Almost $3000 for this trash! I’m really disappointed because I just bought it 4 months ago...

Perfect for media and visual communication subjects
I am a school student and use this for my subjects at school. This computer has an amazing track pad which means designing vector graphics, couldn't be easier. The Adobe programs run so well on it and overall it is a very smooth and easy to use laptop. It isn't very heavy and also the keypad feels so nice! I hardly have any crashes and if you're switching from a windows and scared you won't know how to use apple products, apple is much easier than any windows computer.

Excelent Wndows 10 Business Machine
My first Apple computer, (1982) had revolutionary software installed VisiCalc, the forerunner to Excel! Over the years I have had Toshiba Tecra's ( early 2000's were great build quality) and Dell Latitudes, and I still have a working Kermit colored Seimens Nixdorf laptop, with a detachable screen you place on top of an overhead projector!!
After considerable research following bad experiences with Dell, HP and Toshiba, I returned to Apple in 2007 and finally replaced my white plastic Mac Book pro with the 2015 aluminum bodied 13'' in April ...Read more
2015. I opted for the 500Gb SSD and used boot-camp to partition the drive and install Windows 10Pro. It has never run IOS in the last two years. Initially had a few minor driver issues with audio&bluetooth which were resolved within an hour, I had not fully read and applied the tech info I had. As far as the product is concerned its just brilliant, reliable, fit for purpose and from previous experience with three other MBP's in the family, they have a life span in excess of 12 years. My daughter uses the old white plastic 13' as her social media centre, I replaced the first HD 4 years ago and upgraded the memory and its still going strong after 17 years!! Key board and screen are about the best you can get, I regularly run a HD external monitor when working on multiple spread sheets, (alas not VisiCalc), stability is something you can easily take for granted, the machine just works, never shuts off, no black screens used an average of 7hrs a day 7 days a week. Its also a testament as to how far Microsoft has progressed, I had a clean install 64bit Win10Pro and its run faultlessly. Improvements? well top of my wish list would be a 13'' MBP with a separate graphics card, I sometimes unwittingly push the on board integrated graphics card to its limit, especially when using two screens with multiple windows running. I am currently looking to upgrade to a 15'' MBP, I have looked at the Dell XPS15, and Microsoft Surface2, afraid from my research I'm unconvinced of the quality and durability, Id rather pay the extra and have no drama's with a platform thats proven and completely reliable.Similar opinion? The best computer I have ever owned
I do not go anywhere without my Macbook and thankfully, due to it being so light but at the same time, so exceptionally sturdy this is both easy and safe. I have had upwards of 5 or 6 laptops in my life but this one is just far and above the best I have owned. The operating system is incredibly clean which allows for seemless use of all of my favourite applications. I mainly use my laptop for photoshop. With past laptops photoshop has caused some lag or delay but my macbook doesn't skip a beat. The high price tag means this isn't for everyone but to everyone who can afford it, it is well worth the money.

Apple at its best as always
Sans the OS which I am not a big fan of, the hardware is simply the best in the market.
Even though Microsoft's Surface is making headway and posing as good competition, it has a long road ahead of it.
Apple has perfected the macbook hardware over the years and exudes excellent craftsmanship along with unparalled battery backup. Whether you are a student or a travel blogger or a lecturer or a business executive, it suits everyone.

Simple, stylish and fast
This Macbook is quite fun to use although I'm not really fond of the shallow typing feeling in comparison to the 2012 Macbook pro. It runs very quietly and I have had no problems loading the timemachine backup. It is annoying that I now have to buy a hub adapter in order to use regular USB devices as there are only 2 USB Type-C inputs. At least there is a headphone port.

OK if you're consumer or into writing iOS code
I am an IT Professional. I have tried to buy this laptop to run Windows, and I ended up returning it.
Here's why.
1. There are many keys missing from the keyboard - no Insert, no Delete, no PrtSc, no Break, no Home etc. Too many new stupid combinations for me to learn instead of simple Alt+PrtSc and many others.
2. The bootcamp wireless driver never recognized channel 13 on my 802.11n wifi router. Both MacOS X and other devices worked fine.
3. The screen was too reflective to be used in the office with those long CCFL tubes shining from the...Read more

Great one
Not using MacBook before. I am a Microsoft guy for years. Notice MacBook is good on interface, pasting or editing, so decided to gave it a try.
It's really nice on man-machine interface and fluency when selecting the job I want to do. Only annoying thing is the iCloud kept came in to interrupt. Apple might need to consider to make more space in iCloud for its customers. 5 G is something looks funny today when there are no limit cloud providers out there.

The most rounded
It took me lots of time to come to buying this laptop. I have been familiar with Apple products but given a hectic price I gave it a lot of research. I ended up buying a refurbished model saving more than $200. It came with almost no defects, just without the original box. The keyboard was hard and caused me pain for the first few weeks but then I could typed much faster on it. There are two complaints though. Unlike iphone charging hole, the MBP's one doesn't have the fringe. So mine got damaged in the first 4 weeks. Then since the edge of the upper part (the display) is to sharpe and soft, it got dents all over. Yea sadly. But all laptops nowadays are expensive, MBP is still the best choice if you need a good one that can last for years.

Great windows lap top
Have used Apple products since 1981, have used Toshiba Tecra's and Dell Inspiron's, ironically the best windows lap top you can buy is the MAcbook Pro, although I will buy the 15" next time to access the dedicated graphics card memory. I run this on bootcamp running Win 10Pro, why? becasue I need to access Sharepont and Microsoft in their wisdom dont have a version to run on OSX. Liks, total reliability, dependable easy to use, in fact windows 10 seems to run better in bootcamp mode on this machine than my colleague who has the Dell XPS. My onl...Read more
y gripe is probobly down to my use, I always drive an external monitor, howver the intel integrated graphics runs out of gutts when I have more than on Excel spread sheet open whilst connected to sharepoint and M/S Dynamics. This machine is now 3 years old, still looks and performs like new, plan to replace it with a 15" this year and retire the 13" to OSX mode running Logic Pro in my studio. Expensive to buy, but in the long run innexpensive to own, reliable and as long as you use it for waht it was designed for, an excellent machine.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Goodbye Window, Hello Apple
I have been using window os throughout my entire life, this is because i was surrounded.
Work decided to upgrade my lappy and i said why not give Apple a crack, should be too hard since famous for simplicity. The first 2 weeks i was struggle and looking at YouTube channel to get some tips, now im loving it after 2 years im not looking back.
It’s not only simplicity the OS delivers, it just makes so much sense when using it (idiot proof, bug free, reliable).
You pretty much pay for what you get and now when i use window i get frustrated and annoyed.
