Item was delayed. We ordered thinking it was an Australian company, but it’s not, they are based in the USA! And it turns up cheap and nasty. Would not recommend

We purchased a rug 2yrs ago and the corners never settled and we were constantly tripping over it.
After 3 months the store told us it can take a while for the corners to settle yet even with corner weights attached the rug continued to get worse. Yesterday my 3yr old son took a terrible fall after tripping on a corner and I threw it out of the house - avoid these cheap and nasty rugs.

I ordered one rectangle, one round and one small carpet which cost me around 1300 aud. This company is an absolute sham. The carpets are as thin as mat. I don't even call these carpets. And return is beyond crazy. You would have to send the carpet back at your own expenses. They are selling 100 dollars carpet at 500 dollars. Do yourself a favour and spend your hard earned money somewhere else. I am not upset at them, I am upset at myself for wasting 1300 aud on this company.

Bought a piece of cr-p from this bunch of shysters. Return for a refund is 'send to Switzerland!'
Issue now in hands of credit card company who I hope will take action.

I have never had any issues with AURugs and I have bought a few from them. Going to order another one from them.

They come rolled up but no difficulty to get them to lay flat. If any corners are sticking up I simple put a heavy book or two on the corner for a while and the it comes good.

Maybe I have been lucky with the type I have bought.

I have now purchased 3 rugs from them, no they are not in Australia but I had the rug in a week, around 6 days before their estimated delivery date. Each rug has been quite decent quality especially for the price and I’m surprised they have so many negative reviews, in my experience I think they are fantastic.

I bought a rug from them. They aren't even based in AU. The rug was folded!!! And it was horrible quality. Returning the rug was going to cost me 700$ and the company was only going to refund me once they received it. So essentially I could have lost double the price I paid if the shipping failed to get it to them. Not worth it.

I ordered a rug in September, I still haven't received it yet. Its still waiting to be picked up by the courier company. I'm extremely disappointed, no contact phone number i can ring. They don't answer emails. I need this rug for my wedding. Now I'm out of pocket and no rug.

Received rug quickly considering it was from overseas initially thought I was ordering from an Australian company…misleading. Rug arrived badly folded and felt damp, had a off mouldy smell. I contacted AURUGS immediately and only received vague or automated responses. I advised of my problem and advised I wanted a refund, as the item is faulty, it’s the sellers responsibility to pay for the return, for the last week they’ve offered minimal partial refunds and wanting to charge more than the rug for shipping! For a week we’ve been going around in circles where they’re now just copying and pasting their email. I’ve reported them to my bank and fair trading. Do not buy from the company, bad quality, mouldy & terrible service.

i bought this small oregano Turkish style rug expecting it to be nice and thick to keep the room warm for winter and a very low quality thin rug came, you could physically see the layer underneath the fur from how thin it was. I contacted them in hopes to be granted a refund however to send back the product it costed even more than the rug itself which meant it was pointless and you were stuck with a rug of no use. Why have an Australian rug company based in the states if customers are going to have complaints from here? my advice is do not buy from here as if you aren't happy with the terrible quality rug then nothing can be done by it.

The rug was sent from the USA and arrived with deep creases, stretched/distorted and will not flatten. It's cheap looking, thin and nothing like described on their website. They advertised the rug as being 1/2 inch thick, it is barely 1/2cm thick! When I complained and asked for a refund, I was offered a 20% partial refund or I could return it to Switzerland at a cost more than I paid for it. I feel so ripped off. They have such nice looking rugs I ordered one rug received it other day. I was a little disappointed that it come from us I thought it was a Australian based company, but in saying that it was rolled and wrapped good had protective cardboard at either side. It did have a few creases but only minor that will come out.i ordered it then read the reviews and when I read them I was getting nervous but overall iam happy with the rug and il purchase again for sure but yer not Australia based but I like the rug I got. I called the office and asked about more details about a particular rug over $5k as on-line product descriptions is very shallow and doesn't provide information as other shops do. The manager was very rude even didn't bother to check the rug on his computer. But mumbled something and continued this is a cheap rugs that's it. At the end he hung ip on me. Their products are traditional rugs which spoiled with their traditional attitude and customer service. Zero recommendation as they are not trust worthy unless you walk to shop and see the product and take a risk with cheap $5k rug!

I am delighted with my new rug. It arrived rolled up and was delivered a week after I ordered it online, which surprised me as it was coming from the US. The rug is exactly as it looked in the photo and is just stunning. The price was good too ... very reasonable and free delivery.

The 2 rugs I ordered we not as write up suggested . 1 had a flaw all the way down the back, very Badly packaged and over priced . Thank goodness I bought when on sale and have lost $388 on poor poor quality. Wish I had checked reviews first .

Arrived fast, low price BUT like other reviews state the rug was folded almost into a ball and creases will not come out. Massive rug = massive waste of money. Will be taking further…returns are at buyers cost to Switzerland or USA!!

Just received my rugs x 2 and they arrived nicely rolled up a week after ordering. I was worried as I went online to read reviews but I’m totally happy with the design, colour and softness. Can’t comment on the durability yet as we haven’t used it. The only suggestion I’d make is that delivery driver could leave it in a safer or more secure place as we live on a main road- it’s visible to passerby or request it be sent to the post office.

I was suss on au rugs after reading these reviews, but I ordered a rug anyway seeing as it was reduced to only $45. The rug took one week to get from the USA to Victoria Aus! One week! And it’s crazy good quality, looks cool and all for $45!!!! Posted to my door. Unbelievable. I’ve never left a review but figured I should because they’ve got so many bad ones but my $45 rug is grouse.

My 8ft X 8 ft round dining room rug arrived today. It has been folded it should have been rolled hence now all the edges are curled up
