They refused my digital ID and were EXTREMELY rude. I'd set up that MasterCard at another office just the using my digital ID!

PO Box customers don’t have parcels held for 30 days as advertised
When a parcel is delivered to our PO Box address at the PO in Glenelg SA, a card is left in the box to pick up the parcel in the post office. The parcel held in the Office has a sticker on it with 3 dates, eg, ‘ CL (card left) 3/7/19, SC (second card) 10/7/19;RTS 17/7/19’. Australia post advertise that parcels are held for 30 days and include this promise on each renewal invoice for $120. As I was writing the Auspost customer service rang me in response to my 3rd formal complaint. The PO said that they must have put the wrong card in the P.O. Box and apologised. They didn’t tell the cus serv officer about the parcel stickers with 14 days. I await their follow up, the cust service officers are always friendly and polite.

Was accused of stealing
Recently I brought my ID and collection notice to my local AP office to collect my missed deliveries. While the staff saw my address on ID did not match the one on the parcels. He gave me a hard time. And he said I could have broken into someone else mailbox and stolen these collection notice, also I just happened to have the exact same name of the supposed victim. D has to match either the name or address, not both so you should have been able to pick up your parcel. I'd like to ensure feedback is passed onto the manager so staff are aware of this. It was a change from the name and address that have to match but now it's either one so they may just need to be trained in this. Parcel Lockers are great
I really appreciate how convenient parcel lockers make collections, but like most other people, the speed of the service is pretty deplorable. But I love being able to pick up my items whenever!

Aust Post Albury - very poor service
I attended Australia Post, cnr Kiewa/Dean Streets, Albury around 2.30pm this afternoon to have a document certified and a Stat Dec signed. The lady who served me told me my photocopied document (Passport photocopied in colour) wasn't very good and photocopied it again in black and white and charged me 30 cents. She then told me that she couldn't certify the document (I had the original Passport with me) or sign the Stat Dec. te clearly says in the Stat Dec that an Australia Post employee can sign and they can certainly certify the document as they are a full Post Office. If she wasn't along term employee, fair enough, but I could see other staff there that I know are. I then went to the Lavington Post Office and the lovely lady there processed it all in 3 minutes (even my original colour photocopy was fine). Maybe a little more training is in order for staff at Australia Post Albury and I hope my 30 cents comes in handy for them.1 comment

Very bad
Australia post at Marion road. They hire staff, don’t give them proper training and customers have to suffer. In my case I have ask for express post for international and she gave me interstate once. As I am not familiar with this services I paid for it and filled the envelope. Once I took envelope to give her to send she said I gave you wrong one and I have to pay again. Most staff members who work for AusPost understand that good public relations are expected in their workplace. ie To behave in a professional, polite & courteous manner toward their customers.However, there are some people who do not adhere to this practice.My experience at this Post Office was far from good.It's difficult to understand why I was treated so poorly.I was a respectful customer who was just asking for help regarding a purchase I had made.The incident happened on the 23rd day of May 2022 at 4:15pm.This issue is totally unacceptable. Doncaster Height LPO should be shut down - Disgusted, dishonest and helpless
Too many instances that the customer representatives do not even try to offer help, even worst that the attitudes were extremely poor and aggressive towards customer's questions.
There are numerous instances that the representative will hang up their phones and claim - no help can be offered can just go away!
There are many instances that parcel was sent but later returned back to original sender because they have input the wrong information - But with the same attitude not admitting any fault whatsoever!
We will need another courier company to serve our parcels - Will not pick AUS POST at Doncaster Height LPO for any parcel sending / receiving purely because of these dishonest and helpless people who are working there!

Brighton Post Office Melbourne and Australia Post - Dreadful
In the last 3 years the Brighton Post Office has either not notified me of of a parcel, delivered to the wrong address or lost the parcel even though it has been tracked to their office - In January I got a final notification letter went up to find a sticker over the original one - turns out they had had it for 7 weeks and when asked why they hadn't given me an initial notification tole me 'Oh well, the postperson sometimes can't leave a card', seriously you manage to deliver my bills and the occasional notification. Can’t guarantee they’ll hold your parcell
Long story short, a parcel they was to be delivered to me was returned to Five Dock post office to be returned to sender. I had to go out of my way to get there in the first instance. And now I don’t know where my parcel is. Further to above the sender resent the package only to have Australia post send it to their sorting faculty in Alexandria Sydney before resending it back to sender with no explanation. Changed opening times
The Hilton Post Office 6163 has changed hands, most businesses in this area collect their mail on the way to work. The new owner has taken it upon herself to open at 9am now rather than the 8.30 that the previous owners did. It is frustrating, you collect your mail come to work and then get an e-mail after 9am to say that there is mail. Why can't they open at 8.30 for businesses. They are also very disorganised, counter is always messy.

I sent an A4 sized letter from the UK using international tracking. The letter arrived in Sydney on April 22 but the last notification is still saying Sydney awaiting clearance inbound after 4 days. Is this normal?

Hey Freddiec,
Without the tracking number I'm not able to advise much but based on that date it should arrive some time next week. The 22nd and 25th were public holidays here in Australia which would have delayed processing at border control. Once the item is handed over to us the scans will change to "processed at facility" and the item will be delivered a few days later.
If this hasn't been delivered by May 6th at the latest please contact the postal authority you sent this with so they can investigate further.

Tracking number is LB 104273342GB. Border agencies say they passed it straight through to Australia Post as it was only an A4 sized envelope containing papers.Please start accepting responsibility for your employees and not blaming border agencies all the time.They would have no reason to hold letters.

When ever an item is handed over to us it it processed by our main sortation facility in that state.
After looking at the scans for this item I can see that we don't have any scans for this item being processed at any of our facilities yet so I recommend getting in touch with the sender about this so they can initiate that investigation with their postal authority.
